Jimmie Robison

HEREFORD - Services for Jimmie Robison, 66, of Hereford will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in West Way Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Lee of Shamrock officiating. The Rev. Ray Sanders of Hereford will assist.

Burial will be in Westpark cemetery under direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.

He was born June 12, 1932, in Littlefield. He farmed in Deaf Smith County for 37 years. He married Wanda Leonard on Nov. 23, 1954, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a member of West Way Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steve and Bruce, both of Hereford; a daughter, Brenda Patterson of Friona; two sisters, Billie Jones of Hereford and Laverne Charbonneau of Portland, Ore.; four grandsons and a granddaughter.

The family suggests memorials to Westway Baptist Church or a favorite charity.

Peggy Bright

Services for Peggy Howard Bright, 82, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Ford Memorial Chapel of First Baptist Church with Rev. D.L. Lowrie, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

She died at University Medical Center on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1999.

She was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Dallas. She graduated from Adamson High School magna cum laude. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington and received her bachelor's degree from Texas Women's University. Before earning her master of fine arts from Texas Women's University, she attended New York University. She married Thomas Hale Howard on Dec. 23, 1940, in Dallas. She taught in the Dallas Public Schools. After moving to Lubbock, she was an associate professor of art at Texas Tech from 1966 until 1987. She married Ed Bright on June 2, 1973, in Lubbock.

During this time, she published several articles, exhibited her artwork, taught at the Museum of Texas Tech and was in charge of the puppetry program. She served 20 years as an associate professor at Tech and was a 50-year alumnus at the University of Texas at Arlington. She was honored as an associate professor emeritus by Tech in 1987. She hosted the International Puppetry Conference at Tech, began the puppetry program at Mahon Library and at Oakwood Baptist Church.

Her memberships included the Lubbock Women's Club, vice president of University Medical Center's Auxiliary, P.E.O., Book Club, Audubon Society, Texas Tech Retired Teachers' Association, Lubbock Antique and Collector's Club, First Baptist Church in Lubbock and was a member of the Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husbands Thomas Hale Howard in 1965 and Ed Bright in 1982.

Survivors include a son, Joel Howard of Lubbock; a brother, William Compere Basom of El Paso; and three grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. today

Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

David Buchanan

ANTON - Services for David "Buck" Buchanan, 50, of Anton will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Anton with Rev. Rush Coffman, pastor, officiating and Rev. Syl Moore, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church in Lubbock, assisting.

Burial will be in Anton cemetery under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.

Buchanan died Tuesday, Feb.23, 1999, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born May 14, 1948, at Littlefield. He graduated from Anton High School in 1966. He was manager for the athletic teams at the Anton schools from the seventh through 12th grades. He was a member of the National Horseshoe Association, participating in many tournaments and falling just one tournament short of qualifying for the national hall of fame. He was a truck driver for Metro Truck Lines. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anton.

He is survived by a daughter, Kimberlee Bentley of Arlington; his mother, Christene Buchanan Norman of Slaton; a sister, Linda Sue Carpenter of Salt Lake City, Utah; a brother, Don Buchanan of Roscoe.

Edris Miller

CLOVIS, N.M. - Graveside services for Edris Miller, 94, of Ruidoso, N.M., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis with the Rev. Fred Caton and the Rev. Rhoda Glick officiating.

Burial is under direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.

She died Saturday Feb. 20, 1999, in Ruidoso.

She was born March 1, 1904, in Half Rock, Mo.

She moved to the Forrest, N.M., and Clovis areas in 1907. She lived there until she moved to Ruidoso in 1990. She married Sidney E. Miller in 1924 in Clovis. He died in 1982.

She was a member of First Christian Church and was also a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Gwen Harrison of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Marilyn Babers of Arlington, Va.; two sons, Curtis and Sid Miller of Ruidoso; a sister, CharlimaudCurtis of Albuquerque, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Lincoln County Medical Center Auxiliary.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. todaynat LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

Chad Alexander

LOVINGTON, N.M. - Services for Chad Edward Alexander, 19, of Lovington will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Broom officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery under direction of Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.

Alexander died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in Albuquerque.

He was born Feb. 28, 1980, in Hobbs, N.M. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Marlon and Elizabeth Alexander of Lovington; a sister, Michelle Alexander of Lovington; a brother, Justin Alexander of Lovington; his grandparents, Esten and Vada Alexander of Lovington and Robert and Barbara Cosimati of Las Cruces, N.M.; and his great-grandfather, Anzlie Taylor of Las Cruces.

The family suggests memorials to the Ronald McDonald House or to the Methodist church.

Woodrow Frazier

LITTLEFIELD - Services for Woodrow Wilson Frazier, 86, of Littlefield will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Assembly of God Church of Littlefield with Rev. Grace Wooten officiating.

Burial will be in Littlefield Memorial Park under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.

Frazier died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield.

He was born Aug. 20, 1912, in Love County, Okla. He married Florence Adams on Dec. 14, 1940, at Littlefield. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II after entering the service in December 1941. He had farmed in the Littlefield area for nearly 30 years. He had been employed by the Olton Independent School District doing janitorial work before retiring. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Littlefield.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Wanda Harrell of Levelland, Linda Richardson of Spade, and Darla Stengel of Hereford; a sister, Emma Gore of Clovis, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family suggest memorials to be sent to the Littlefield EMS.

Bonnie Unrein

Rosary for Bonnie Unrein, 60, of Lubbock will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Franklin Bartley Chapel.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael O'Dwyer officiating.

Burial will be in City of Lubbock cemetery under direction of Franklin Bartley Funeral Home.

She died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 10, 1938, in Sterling, Colo. She married Ralph L. Unrein on June 3, 1956, in Sterling, Colo.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Randal, Rodney and Roger, all of Lubbock; a daughter, Sharlene Richard of Anchorage, Alaska; and nine grandchildren.

Marie Hinds

HEREFORD - Services for Marie Hinds, 87, of Hereford will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Central Church of Christ with Tom Bailey, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in West Park cemetery under direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.

She died Friday, March 5, 1999, in Hereford Regional Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 18, 1912, in Thalia. She married Otey Hinds on May 6, 1934, in Farwell. He died Nov. 25, 1983. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Wayland of Canyon; a daughter, Phyliss Blake of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Anna Jo Blackburn of Friona and Onita Allen of Friona; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Henry Gregory

COMANCHE - Services for Henry C. Gregory, 92, of Comanche will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Longoria officiating.

Burial will be in Garden of Memories cemetery in Comanche County under direction of Comanche Funeral Home.

He died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, in Columbia Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood.

He was born Sept. 24, 1906, in Swenson. He married Lennie Parker, who preceded him in death. He married Delna McEntire on Oct. 2, 1970, in Comanche.

He was a lineman for TU Electric.

He attended Eastside Baptist Church in Comanche, and he was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 481.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cynthia McCarty of Lubbock; five sons, Dr. Kennith C. Gregory of Abernathy, Dr. Jerry D. Gregory of Lubbock, Garry L. Graham and Larry Graham, both of Comanche, and Danny Lee Graham of Early; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Lunch for the family will be noon Wednesday at Eastside Baptist Church.

Jack Taylor

Services for Jack E. Taylor, 69, of Lubbock will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Burlie Wayne Taylor officiating and the Rev. Jimmy McGuire assisting.

Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery.

He died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside.

He was born July 4, 1929, in Brownfield. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947-1950. He married Dolores Wages on June 8, 1948, in Morton. He was a Star Route Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member and a deacon of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Farwell. He moved to Lubbock in 1978.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Greg of Texico, N.M.; four daughters, Jeniene Kinge of Abernathy, and Becky Inge Kristy Weinheimer and Melissa Jones, all of Lubbock; a brother, Rev. Burlie Wayne Taylor of Pearsall; a sister, Louise Hancock of Farwell; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to the Texas Baptist Home For Children, P.O. Drawer 309, Waxahachie 75168-997 or to a favorite charity.
