Dorothy Elaine Gray
Dorothy Gray, age 63, a resident of Boerne since 1975, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2003. She was born April 4, 1940, the daughter of Roy Joseph and Dorothy Elizabeth Schulz Bowers. preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Gray is survived by Husband, Gerald, Jerry, Gray; Son, Rusty Cass and his wife, Cathy, of Boerne; Daughter, Karla Gray; Grandchildren, Heidi Carrington and her husband, Brian, Michael Holifield, William Cass, and Randall Cass; Great Grandchildren, Joshua Milner and Megan Milner; Brothers, Dave Bell and his wife, Pat, and Paul Bowers; Sister, Gerri McGinnis and her husband, Buzz. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 11:00 A.M. at the Boerne Assembly of God Church, Pastor Jimmy Sewell, Officiating. James Robert "Bob" Bogle
A memorial service for Bob Bogle will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8th, 2007, at First Christian Church, Lubbock.
After a long courageous fight with cancer, Bob joined the Lord he loved on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007.
He was born in Los Angeles, Calif. May 19, 1929, to Orville and Myra Bogle. He graduated from Plainview High School, received his degree from Texas Tech University and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Bob farmed in Gaines County for 18 years and was a production control and sales representative for 15 years in Dallas before retiring to Lubbock.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a faithful follower of Christ, and an avid Texas Tech fan.
Bob is survived by his wife, Myrna Strahan, whom he married
in 1977; his three children Kevin Bogle and wife Reneu of Morristown, Tenn., Kristy Bogle Davis and husband Gary of Alburquerque, N.M., and Dr. Kent Bogle and wife Judi of Ruskin, Fla. He is also survived by children, Randy Strahan of Austin, Mike Strahan and wife Irene of Lubbock, Chief Petty Officer Neil Strahan of Jacksonville, Fla., Ted Strahan and wife Jennie of Richardson and Shari John and husband Brent of Mineral Wells. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; brother, Jay Bogle and wife Marianne of El Paso; in-laws, Louise and Ted Hagar, and Bobbi and Frank Mugford; and many nieces and nephews.
His body was donated to Texas Tech Health Science Center.

Kathryn E. Whitlock
Kathryn E. Whitlock, age 82, a resident of Boerne since 1998, and a former resident of Brenham, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2002. She was born in Litchfield, Illinois, on October 8, 1920, the daughter of Theodore T. and Thelma DeBarr Davis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. preceded in death by her husband, Clyde L. Whitlock in 1996, Mrs. Whitlock is survived by her Son, Robert C. Whitlock; Grandchildren, Kathryn E. Baker and her husband, Scott and Gary E. Whitlock and his wife, Camilla; Great Grandchildren, Skylar Baker, Ty Baker, Alissa Whitlock and Brandon Whitlock. Graveside Services and Burial were held on Saturday, December 14 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas, Rev. Mark Redd, Officiated.
Frances "Kica" Martinez
Frances "Kica" Martinez was born in Clovis, N.M. April 10, 1943 and was delivered to our Lord Sept. 4, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents David and Adela Lucero.
The rosary will be 7:30 p.m. tonight at White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Martinez, Sr.; sons, Jesse Martinez, Jr. and fiancÈe Melissa Marin and Michael Martinez and fiance Nellie Alvarado; daughter, Marcie Sosa and husband Joey Sosa; sister, Janie Lucero Arredondo and Belinda Gutierrez; brothers, David Lucero II of California, Lewis Lucero, and Orland Lucero of Arizona; and grandchildren, Amber, Robert, Tony, Joseph, Ryan, Yisell, Josiah, Jobannie, and Synika.
She loved bingo, the casino, and her family.
Pallbearers will be Roman Arredondo, David Lucero III, Orlando Lucero, Pete Arroyo, Joe Ryan Gutierrez, Lupe Martinez, and Gabriel Arredondo.
Lisa Anne Butaud
Lisa Anne Butaud, beloved daughter of Connie Devillier Butaud and Lou Butaud, Jr, entered into eternal life on June 30, 2003. Lisa loved the outdoor life, hunting, riding horses, and snow skiing. She especially loved spending quiet times on the beach in Corpus Christi, Texas. The family will have a service, in a format requested by Lisa, at Bob Hall Pier in Corpus Christi. The memorial will start at sunrise, with the sound of waves, the soft wind blowing, and the smell of ocean air. And then, her ashes will be committed to the sea. She is survived by her parents, Connie and Lou Butaud, of Boerne, Texas; Two children, Celissa Rae New and Dustin James New of Wimberley, Texas; One Brother, Mark Stephen Butaud of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Two Sisters, Marla Butaud Holsomback of Alexandria, Louisiana and Nadine Butaud Taylor of Castle Rock, Colorado. Also surviving her are three nieces and six nephews. Lisa was a graduate of Madison High School, San Antonio and owner of Cuttin-up Beauty Salon in San Marcos, Texas. Lisa's salon specialized in total body care, including hair, nails, pedicures and massage therapy. Lisa had many good and loyal friends to help support her in her time of need. Her "Prayer Warriors" stretched across this land. This support continues even after death. A "Celebration of Life" benefit will be sponsored at the Hays County Civic Center in San Marcos, Texas on July 12 starting at noon. Proceeds from this benefit, not used for medical expenses, will be donated to the Cancer Therapy and Research Center in San Antonio, Texas. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and other support so graciously given to Lisa. Colby Sawyer
Colby Sawyer, 22, of Lubbock left to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007.
He graduated from Frenship High School in 2003 and attended South Plains College. He was employed by Vision Audio.
Colby enjoyed paintball and golfing with his buddies and his true passion, wake boarding. He will be most remembered for his infectious smile, warm hugs, spunky personality and big heart.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Tammy Sawyer of Lubbock; father, Lynn Sawyer of Lubbock; a sister, Natasha Mixon and husband Justin of Dodson; grandparents, Marion and Margie Smith and James Sawyer, all of Lubbock; Colby's fan club, Tyler Endicott, Carter and Alexis Torrence, Jacob, Joseph, Katie and Lauren Bayouth, Palmer, Parker and Pierce Jackson, all of Lubbock; and his beautiful and loving girlfriend who brought great joy to his life, Courtney Cabbell of Lubbock.
The family will gather to greet friends this evening from 5 -7 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd Street.
Celebration services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2007 at the First Church of the Nazarene, South Loop 289 & Chicago Ave. Committal service will follow in the City of Lubbock cemetery.

Nathan Wilson
Celebration of life services for Nathan Wilson, 23, of Lubbock will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Jay Horton officiating. Nathan Tate Wilson was born May 31, 1984, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Joseph N. and Selma (Pierce) Wilson. Nathan graduated from Lubbock High School. He then attended Texas Tech University graduating in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Bio Chemistry with a minor in business. He was enrolled as a first year medical student at Texas Tech. Nathan was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Pierce and Jack Wilson.
Those left to cherish Nathan's memory are his parents, Drs. Arrenia Nancy Phillips Pettit
Services for Arrenia Nancy Phillips Pettit, 94, will be held Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at 10 a.m., at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pettit passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007.
Arrenia was born on August 8, 1913, in Cookeville, TN to the late Byrd and Annettie (Jaquess) Phillips. She attended school in New Deal and Draughn's Business College. She married
Roger W. Pettit on June 15, 1947 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1993. She was a resident of Lubbock from the early '20s to 1999. Since 1999, she has been a resident of Plano.
Mrs. Pettit is survived by son, Gary Pettit and wife Mary of Plano; son, Mark Pettit and wife Brenda of Ridgeway, Colo.; grandchildren, Steven Pettit and wife Jennifer of Dallas, Susan Pettit of London, England, and Greg Pettit and wife Jennifer of Austin; brother, Mitchell Phillips of Pampa; sister, Jessie Ingley of Lubbock; and two great grandchildren, Amber Pettit of Austin and Jackson Pettit of Dallas.

Don E. Johnson, 43, of Lubbock died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at University Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Progressive Baptist Church. James Cobbs
James Cobbs, 78, of Lubbock passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at his residence. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Peaceful Gardens cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Cobbs; four children and two step-children, James Edward (curly), Alice Fay, Edward Dee, and Don Earl (Donnie) Cobbs, all of Lubbock; a step-son, Michael Humphrey of Dallas; one step-daughter, Diane Wright of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will recieve visitors from 2 until 6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
Daniel Eugene Heck
Graveside services for Daniel Eugene Heck, 65, of Lubbock will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007 in Resthaven Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held from 6 -7 p.m., Tuesday at Sanders Funeral Home.
He passed away on Sept. 8, 2007 at his residence.
Daniel was born Feb. 17, 1942 in Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy. Daniel was an employee of the Lubbock Faith Center and was a security guard for Express One. He was a longtime member of the AA Faith Club.
Daniel is survived by his family, Rod and Vonda Brown, Chris and Carie Kinser and boys, Ben and Martha Brown; and long time friend, Don Reed.
