Marvin Roberts
Graveside services for Marvin Roberts, 92, of Lubbock, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at the City of Lubbock cemetery. He passed away Nov, 29, 2007. He was born Aug. 28, 1915 in Lexington, Ky.
Marvin was a farmer. He enjoyed volunteering at Outreach and the Salvation Army.
He was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren. Survivors include daughter, Betty Gray; son, Dewayne Roberts; six grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and six great- great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at 1717 22nd Street in Lubbock.
Raul Frausto Rendon
Funeral services for Raul Frausto Rendon, 72, of Slaton will be on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton, with Father Nicolas Rendon officiating.
Rosary will be on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Slaton.
Burial will be at Englewood cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
He died on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside. He was born on Dec. 4, 1934, in San Angelo. He married
Josephine Martinez in 1960 in Slaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mauricio and Tomasita Frausto Rendon; brothers, Gilberto Rendon, Luis Rendon and Mauricio Rendon; and sisters, Consuelo Ruiz and Aurora Martinez.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Martinez Rendon; sons, Raul Rendon Jr. and Lanny Rendon; daughters, Sylvia MuŅoz, Yolanda Rendon and Alicia Rendon; one twin brother, Ruben Rendon; sisters, Beatrice Solis, Lile Gallegos and Oralia Martinez; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Anna Lee Outland
Anna Lee Outland, 82, of Lubbock, passed away Nov. 27, 2007, at Lakeridge Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 28, 1925. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Thelma Avery (Eddie), Zenda Hall (George) and Judy Bolton (Charles); two sons, Johnny Outland and Jerry Outland (Tonya); one sister, Annie D. Davis; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Manhattan Heights Church of Christ. Burial will be at Peaceful Garden cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Willie Brown "Matt" Matthews
Willie Brown "Matt" Matthews, 87, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007. Matt was born in Alabama on Nov. 3, 1920 to Isaac and Laura (Cohron) Matthews. He married
Anilois Renfroe at the First Baptist Church in Panama City, Fla.
Matt proudly served in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theatre of Operations including Sicily, Italy and North Africa. After the war, he served and lived in the Azores and Tokyo, Japan. He retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service.
Following retirement, he worked as a food service manager at MHMR in Wichita Falls and Lubbock State School. Matt never met a stranger and always shook the hand of a friend. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church for 35 years.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife; daughters, Carmen and her husband Jim Sorenson of Fort Worth, and Gynia and her husband Tony D'Angelo of Lynnwood, Wash.; granddaughter, Jessica and her husband Jake Aragon; and grandson, Sean Sorenson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and predeceased by his parents; six brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Dr. Stan Blevins officiating. Military interment will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Dallas/Fort Worth National cemetery in Grand Prairie.

Frances Martin
Frances Martin, 78, of Lubbock, died Friday at Covenant Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Monday Dec. 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Trinity Church. Burial will follow in City of Lubbock cemetery. Family visitation will be today from 2-4 p.m. at Rix Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Martin was born in Ford County. She married
Raymond Martin Feb. 13, 1957, in Clovis, N.M. She worked as a child care worker for Trinity Church for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa, June 7, 1994.
Survivors are her husband Raymond; her son, Glenn; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Georgetta Jackson
Georgetta "Jetta" Jackson, 58, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at her residence. Born Dec. 16, 1948 in Lubbock, to Henry Lewis and Georganna (Spencer) Wynne, she attended Frenship High School and South Plains College.
After college she worked for General Steel Warehouse and was self-employed. On Sept. 16, 1965, she married
Andy at Parkway Church of Christ in Lubbock.
She was a member of the VFW and the VFW "Cootie" Auxiliary. Georgetta also coached little league baseball, youth basketball, and youth football. She was a former member of Frenship Athletic Booster Club, former president of Wolfforth Little League Baseball League, member of the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling, movies, horse races, and attending sporting events. She had a deep love of her family, especially her grandchildren.
Georgetta is survived by her husband; two sons, Richard and his wife Aimee of Amherst, and Randy and his wife Rachel Jackson of Plainview; two sisters, Anna Ream of Bedford, and Ida and her husband Cecil Moncrief; one brother, Calvin Wynne; five grandchildren, Brandon, Nate, Seattle, Fette, and Katie Jackson; as well as lots of adoring and loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel, officiated by Mike Butts. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Rev. Leonard Hall
Rev. Leonard Hall, 62, of Lubbock, passed away at Southern Region Medical Center after a lengthy illness on Nov. 28, 2007. He was bon March 6, 1945 to his parents, Alvin and Violeta Hall in the city of Colon Republic of Panama; his father precedes him in death.
Leonard left home in 1966 to attend college in the United States; he graduated from Lubbock Christian University.
He began his career employed by the Lubbock State School where he became the Director of the Transportation Department and retired after 35 years of service. He became the Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Ralls, on March 7, 2004. He was an active member of the Southern Black Ministers Association. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Pastor Monica Cheryl Hall, and their son, Alvin Hall; his mother, Violeta hall; and three brothers, Rogelio, Alvin Jr., and Donaldo Hall, all of Panama; and one sister, Paula Small, of Lubbock; and a host of relative and friends.
Service will be held Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at 2 p.m., at New Hope Community Church, 501 12th Street, Shallowater.
Family will be receiving guests today, from 3-5 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
Hedy Frances Duval
Hedy Frances Duval, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, family member, and friend, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Nov. 29, 2007. Born on Feb. 22, 1928, in Collin Co., to the late George Rural and Hettie Palarlee (Howard) Littrell, she was the youngest of nine children. At age 14, she moved to Lubbock. After graduating from Lubbock High School, she met Talmage Lee Duval, a native of Lubbock, and they married
two months later.
In addition to her career as a mother and homemaker, she worked for many years at Morrison Supply Co. and then retired after 10 years as a secretary at Texas Tech.
Known by her grandson as "Franma", her friends as "Fran", and her nieces and nephews as "Aunt Sancy", Fran enjoyed ballroom dancing, gospel music, reading, and playing bridge. She was a Silver Life Master of the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), and was a long-time member and officer of the Llano Estacado Bridge Unit. She was also a member of Forest Heights United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Talmage; her son, Dennis Lee Duval; and all but one of her siblings. Fran is survived by her daughter, Darla Kay (Duval) Czerwinski and her husband Paul of Portland, Tex.; by her grandson, James Bradley Allcorn and wife Melissa of Wylie; her brother, George Littrell of Weatherford; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sanders Memorial Chapel, 1420 Main St. Burial will follow at the Lubbock cemetery. The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home.

yler Blair Duncan
Tyler Blair Duncan was born March 16, 1978, in Lubbock. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 25, 2007 in Chicago, Ill.
He is survived by a daughter, Audrey; a son, Braxton; parents, Richard and Sharon Duncan; a sister, Tracy Gillespie and her daughter Hallie; and grandparents, Newman and Leona Rader.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, with Pastor Mike Shaffer officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
