Luise Helen Bremer
Memorial services for Luise Bremer, 87, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Lake Ridge Chapel, with Rev. Fred Baker officiating. Mrs. Bremer died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007.
She was born April 20, 1920, in Somerville, Mass. Luise received her nursing certificate in 1942 and served as a nurse in the US Navy during WW II. After her discharge from the Navy, she continued her career as a RN. She married
Neville Hasso Bremer on July 1, 1944, in Long Beach, Calif. Luise and Neville moved to Lubbock in 1965. Dr. Bremer died in July, 1991.
Luise is survived by a daughter, Diane Ross of Lubbock; a grandson, Bryan Ross and wife Lesley of Irving; and several brothers and sisters.

L.B. Jones, Jr.
Celebration of life services for L. B. Jones Jr, 89, of Lubbock, will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel, with Rev. Brent McCall and Rev. Charles Carman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
L. B. passed away Saturday, Dec. 01, 2007.
Larkin B. Jones, Jr. was born June 30, 1918, in Gorman, to the late L.B., Sr. and Cora (Claborn) Jones. L. B. attended Texas Tech until enlisting in the United States Army Air Corp serving as a bombardier, stationed in England, during WWII. He married
the love of his life, Catherine Mary Crum, March 19, 1950, in Lubbock. L.B. was the director of engineering for KCBD until his retirement in 1984. He was a Ham Radio operator for 60 years. L. B. was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Hill, in 2000.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine; daughter, Amy Lewis and husband, Michael, and children, Audra and Jessica, of Lubbock; daughter, Laura Mortimer and husband, Stan, and children, Michael, Colin, and Amanda, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and daughter, Martha Gooding and husband, John, and children, Jason, of Austin, and John and wife, Brittany, of Houston.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
Judy Ogletree Guden
Judy Ogletree Guden, 66, of Wellington, Fla., passed from this world Nov. 30, 2007, after complications from cancer. Judy died peacefully in the loving arms of her family and friends. She had a full and wonderful life until very recently when the disease spread.
Born in Littlefield, she was a 1959 graduate from Olton, a 1963 graduate of Abilene Christian, and taught in the Texas and New York school systems before retiring.
She enjoyed her horses and especially her favorite, Pan American Games Gold and Silver Medalist, Sagacious HF.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, O.R."Cap" Ogle-tree, and is survived by her husband, Al Guden. Other survivors include her mother, Mardema; brother, Mike and his wife, Sandy, all of Lubbock; sister, Vicki Wisch and her husband Roger, of Richmond Hill, Ga.; one niece and four nephews.

Curtis Foerster
Graveside funeral services for Curtis Foerster, age 86, of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at Eastlawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Mary D. D'Alessio of Union Presbyterian Church officiating.
Curtis was born Dec. 3, 1920 in Paige to Alfred Foerster and Louise Orts. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, A.J. and his wife, Louise.
Curtis graduated from Giddings High School and Tyler Commercial College. He married
Louise Ferguson on Aug. 4, 1942 in La Grange. Curtis served in the United States Naval Air Corps during World War II. He worked for Texas Gulf Sulfur Company in New Gulf for 35 years, retiring as power plant manager in 1980. For several years he worked for TGS in Mexico.
In 1980, Curtis and Louise moved to Brownwood where Curtis pursued his hobbies of building furniture and making custom hunting knives. He was renown in knife-making circles and his honors included designing and producing knives for the
L.A. Wilke Award of Excellence, recognizing the outstanding Texas Outdoor Writers Association member. Curtis was a longtime member of Union Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol Wolfe and husband Monta, of Lubbock, and Beverly Smith and husband Alva, of Levelland; six grandchildren, Brian Wolfe of Corinth, Claire Suerker of Coral Gables, Fla., Brandon Gray, of Benjamin, Brittany Gray, of Vernon, Curtis Gray, of San Angelo, and Skyler Smith, of Levelland; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be may be made to Union Presbyterian Church, 700 Fisk Ave, Brownwood, 76801 or to a charity of your choice.
Milton George Gibbs
August 1st, 1937 - April 2nd, 2008
Frederick “Ned” Gibbs and Ella Mae Burleson gave birth to Milton George Gibbs on August 1, 1937 in Amarillo, Texas. Milton, or George, as he was known by his family and friends worked as a butcher at Pinkney Packing Company. He married
Mary Ellen Mobley on November 1, 1955 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Following an 18 year career as a butcher, “Milt” became a meat inspector for the USDA from 1968 until 1974. He also sold packing house supplies and heavy equipment; and hauled grocery goods for Frito Lay and Furrs. Prior to retiring in 1999, he had owned and operated a long haul trucking company. While driving the open road other truckers referred to George as “Trail Boss”.
George was happiest when he was with people. He never met a stranger and would always offer his help whenever needed. He valued friendships and family more than anything. His smile was always the biggest when his house was filled with his sons and their families. He also had a way with fixing things…..he could truly fix anything….a trait that he has passed down to his sons!! His knack for relating to anyone will be missed, but will also be remembered.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; three sons, Martin Allan and his wife, Mary Lynne of Lakeway, Mark Christian and his wife, Evelyn of Lubbock, and Matthew Wayne and his wife, Libby of Austin; his father, Frederick “Ned” of Hereford; grandchildren, Kristy Dwyer, Kelly Gibbs, Kerrigan Gibbs, Katherine Gibbs, Austin Gibbs, Sarah Conley, Megan Gibbs, and John Paul Gibbs; a brother, Frederick Leon Gibbs and his wife, Nita of Amarillo; and a sister, Jeannie Mae Owens of Clarendon.
Becky Beazley
December 18th, 1954 - March 22nd, 2008
Rebecca Ann was born to Dorothy Ann and Wayne Ford on December 18, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Ford family moved to Lubbock in the mid 60’s from Houston. She attended Evan Jr. High and Monterey High School. Becky earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in History and a Master’s of Arts in French from Texas Tech University. Becky began her teaching career at Lubbock High School in 1985, where she taught French for twenty-three years. While teaching at Lubbock High School, she served as head of the foreign language department. Becky led her students to many first place awards in both state and national competitions. She also organized and supervised numerous Lubbock High School student trips to Europe. Becky enjoyed playing tennis at the Tennis Center of Lubbock.
Survivors include her sons, William and Joseph Beazley both of Lubbock; mother, Dorothy Ann Ford; siblings, Philip Ford of Lubbock, Tom Ford of NY, NY, and Mary Borgwat of Atlanta, GA. She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Ford.
Jim Stephenson
December 13th, 1937 - March 19th, 2008
Jim Stephenson was born on December 13, 1937 to Earl Mills and Ruby Ethel Stephenson in Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock High School. A life long resident of Lubbock, Jim worked as a mechanic, then as a Product Support Manager with Caterpillar for 38 years. His life revolved around his wife, Lynda, his family and his Lord.
Those left to cherish Jim’s memories are his wife Lynda; daughter, Lisa Pryor and husband David of Jacksonville, NC and children, Kendra and Travis Plymell; daughter in law, Gerallyn Stephenson of Ropesville; also the children of his heart, Julie Glenn and husband Jeff of Flower Mound and Chris Hafer of Smyer and his children, Brayden Thomas Corley and Colby Garrett and Kaci Jo Hafer.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Don Stephenson in 2007.
Peggy Sue Burch Penny
April 21st, 1939 - February 25th, 2008
Peggy was born April 21, 1939 in Wayne, Oklahoma. She married
Earnest R. Penny on November 11, 1975. She worked at Frito-Lay and Clark Drug Store for many years and also took care of numerous children thru out the years. Peggy was a homemaker, loving mother, mema and sister. She loved going to church every Sunday with a special lunch with her grandkids and sisters afterward.
Proceeding her death is her mother and father Goldie and Willie Burch; two sisters, Lillie Lee and Judy Williams. A great granddaughter, Kinsee Mae Phillips which she called her guardian angel and her best friend, Elise Crowder, also precedes her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Earnest Rhea Penny; two children, Lisa Dessivia and Stephen Lee Phillips both of Lubbock; three step-children, Tammie Skelton of Post, Michael Penny of Chaparral, NM, and Terrie Penny of Fort Worth; her four sisters, Lou Barnett of Quanah, Jean Cofield, Jo Stapp and Ruth Ross all of Lubbock; one big brother, Billy “Bull” Burch of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Amber and Heather Dessivia, Jessica and Stephen Phillips, Jr. all of Lubbock; nine step grandchildren and eleven step great grandchildren; one special great granddaughter, Raeleigh Phillips that brighten her last days of her life; many nieces and nephews who truly loved her.

Wilibert August "Andy" Andres
January 28th, 1926 - February 20th, 2008
Wilbert August (Andy) Andres passed into the loving arms of his heavenly father on Feb. 20 in Lubbock, Texas. He was 82 years old. Andy was born on Jan. 28, 1926, at The Grove, Texas, to Earl and Ella Andres, and was the first of four children.
He served in the Army Air Core and as a Highway Patrol Trooper. In 1951, he married
Ruby Lee Morris, of Iraan, Texas. They enjoyed 56 adventurous years together. He earned a degree in industrial engineering from Texas Tech University in 1959. He worked as an engineer with the U.S. Treasury Department until he retired in 1987. He then began his final career as a Federal Marshal and served in the Lubbock court system for another five years. He is remembered as a hard-working man, a devoted husband and a loving father who served his God, his church, his country and his family faithfully and tirelessly.
He is survived by his wife, as well as two children, Paul Andres, of Blooming Grove, Texas, and Jules Andres of Redondo Beach, Calif., seven grandchildren, and a sister, Mildred Grothe of Albany, Texas. Andy is preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Andres, and his sister, LaVerne Grothe.
Allison R. Dagg
August 9th, 1973 - February 10th, 2008
Allison was a dedicated wife and mother, who enjoyed spending the majority of her time caring, and serving others in need. Allison loved to comfort and share God's love to children, and was serving as the Interim Children's Director at Oakwood Baptist Church. Allison loved to volunteer her time to help strengthen her community and was an active member in the Junior League of Lubbock. She will be remembered as a woman of unconditional love, unselfishness, faith, prayer, hope, strength, and integrity.
Survivors include her husband of 13 years, Joseph Dagg; daughters, Zoey and Kiya Dagg; son, Tabor Dagg; parents Gary and Patricia Gilliam; sister Beverly Gilliam; maternal grandparents James and Billie Holloway; paternal grandmother Sibyl Gilliam; and several hundreds of other family and friends in Lubbock, TX, Little Rock, AR, Bossier City, LA and around the world.
