Harold Bibby
SPRINGLAKE — Graveside services for Harold V. Bibby, 80, of Springlake will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Springlake cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parsons-Ellis Funeral Home of Earth.
He died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002.
He was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Cumby. He had lived in Littlefield since 2000 after moving from Amherst. He served in the Army during World War II and was a farmer. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Springlake.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Madeline Gambrel and Ocie Lee Walker.
Survivors include a brother, Orlan of Springlake.
Jerome Lamar Anthony-McGruder
Jerome Lamar Anthony-McGruder, 19, of Lubbock passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at UMC. He was born July 29, 1988. He was recently employed at Pyco Industries, Inc. Jerome will be greatly missed and his beautiful memories will remain with us. His parents Patricia Anthony, Billy and LaSherl McGruder; grandparents, James and Carolyn McClendon and Ella Roberts; two brothers, Ronald McNeal and Jamodrick McGruder; four sisters, Devashanae Anthony, Jaynae, LaQuandria, and Kiambree McGruder; one very special friend, a host of other relatives and friends.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church located at 2402 23rd; burial will follow at City of Lubbock cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Family will receive friends from 1-6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
Geraldine ''Jerry'' Cox
Geraldine "Jerry" Cox, 79, of Lubbock passed away March 6, 2008, at Covenant Hospital. She was born on Oct. 19, 1928, in Greenville, to Lonnie and Willie (Key) Cook. She graduated from Leonard High School and moved to Lubbock where she lived until her death. Geraldine worked over 30 years at John Halsey Drug Store. She then worked at Raff & Hall Drugs, Ranch House Caf?, Rooftop Caf?, George's and worked most recently at the Tech Caf?. Jerry is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Cox.
She is survived by one daughter, Janie Clemmons and husband Gary of Lubbock; three sons, Johnny Cox and wife Pam of Lubbock, Dan Cox and wife Rhonda of Rowlett, Zack Cox and wife Carrie of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Thomas Clemmons, Trinket White, Justin, Amanda, Niccolette, Vincent, and Duncan; eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Taylor, Tyler, Andrew, Ryan, Hunter, Kennedy, Chelsea; a number of cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Whitharral cemetery under direction of George Price Funeral Home, Levelland, Texas. He died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at Covenant Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas.
Born on March 16, 1968 in San Antonio, Texas, he graduated from Del Rio High School in Del Rio, Texas. He attended South Plains College, Levelland, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech Health Science Center paramedic school. He attended Texas A & M Fire School at Bryan-College Station, Texas on an annual basis and multiple area fire schools. He married
Amy Horne on Nov. 3, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Matt was preceded in death by a brother, William Ashley Thetford on Feb. 18, 1967.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Thetford, of Levelland, Texas; his parents, C.E. and Margie Thetford of Del Rio, Texas; a daughter, Brooke Renee Thetford of Levelland, Texas; three sons, Matthew Crockett Thetford, Jr., Tyler Wayne Horne and Klayton Taylor Horne, all of Levelland, Texas; two sisters, Jeanie Valentine of Liberty, North Carolina and Julie Hardy of Grand Prairie, Texas.

Navolia Kinslow
FLOYDADA (Special) Services for Navolia Scott Kinslow, 83, of Floydada will be held 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Ballard officiating and the Rev. Wendell Horn, pastor, assisting.
Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park under direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
She died Monday, July 26, 1999.
She was born May 29, 1916, in Russellville, Ark. She graduated from Pottsville High School in Pottsville, Ark. She married
E.J. Kinslow on March 22, 1939, in Russellville. She moved to Texas in 1945 and to Floydada in 1954 from Plainview. She was a member of the County Home Demonstration Club, and had been a 4-H leader. She was a homemaker, and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Bary of Coppell, Phillip of Lewisville, and Steven of Buda; a sister, Eula Scott Ellison of Olton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home 6-7 p.m. tonight.

Giani Shelby
Services for Gianni Shelby, 3, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Faith First Baptist Church in Lubbock with Rev. Norman Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Gianni passed away on March 4, 2008 in Lubbock. He was born July 10, 2004 in Lubbock to Jonathan Shelby and Alisha Loftis.
He attended Faith First Baptist Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include his father, Jonathan Shelby of Lubbock; two brothers, Derrek and Jonta Pollard of Lubbock; his grandparents, Pat and Lynda Shelby of Lubbock; great grandparents, Jesse and Luretta Johnson of Ralls; an uncle, Patrick Shelby of Lubbock; an aunt, Brittany Shelby of Lubbock and his God Mother, Myria Dade of Floydada.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.
Cameron Clark
Graveside services for Cameron Clark, 41, of Lubbock will be held Monday, March 3, 2008, at 2 p.m., at Resthaven Memorial Park. A memorial service will follow at Westminster Presbyterian Church, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Matt Mitchell officiating. The family will receive visitors after the memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Cameron went to join his Creator Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008. He was born June 30, 1966, in Lubbock, and graduated from Coronado High School in 1984. He was an Eagle Scout, worked as a Youth Pastor in several churches around the area, attended the R.H.I.M. program at Texas Tech, and had a career in restaurant management. He loved animals, reading, and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Clark. He is survived by his father, Walt Clark; step mother, Debra Clark; a brother, Chris Clark; other family, Debbie Clark, Allison and Samantha Clark, Juanita Clark, Chad Haskins; and many close friends and beloved pets.
The family suggests memorials to The Haven Pet Shelter.
John Truman Forbus
John Truman Forbus, 73, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 in Abilene. His funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the Elmdale Baptist Church, in Abilene. Burial followed in the Midway cemetery in Jones County under the direction of Elmwood Funeral Home.
John worked as an electrician in Lubbock for 15 years and later spent 30 years farming and ranching in Lorenzo. He moved back to Abilene in 1993.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorthy Williams Forbus of Abilene; his children, Greg Forbus of Itasca, Deborah McFarling of Flower Mound, John Douglas Forbus of Littlefield; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers, C.W. Forbus of Plains, Ross Forbus of Poteet; two sisters, Carroll Frydenberg of Arlington, and Jean Collins of Canada.
Dorothy Nana Gibson
Celebration of life services for Dorothy "Nana" Gibson, 73, of Lubbock will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Sidney Fallin officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Llano cemetery in Amarillo.
Dorothy was born Oct. 7, 1934 in Hayworth, Okla. to the late John and Bessie (Jones) Young. She was married
to Buddy Gibson for 28 years. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an active member of Parkway Drive Baptist Church. Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers and survived by three brothers and five sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Lynn Wheeler and husband Willie, and Danette Lea White and husband Gene all of Amarillo. The light of her life was her grandchildren, Nicole Payne and husband Justin of Oklahoma City; Christopher Brito and wife Andrea, Alyssa Brito of Lubbock, and Willie Wheeler, III of Amarillo, and Cathleen Sullivan of Lubbock. She showed the same love and affection to her great-grandchildren, Laken Payne and Christian Rodriguez.

Rosary for Jose C. Gutierrez, 89, of Lubbock will be today at 7 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Gutierrez passed on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008. He was born on July 17, 1918 in Marfa, Texas to the late Salome (1951) and Manuela (1986) Gutierrez. He married
Maria Rosales in 1940 in Big Spring, Texas. He had farmed in and around Ropesville for many years before retiring. He moved to Lubbock in 1997 coming from Ropesville. He was a Catholic. He is preceded in death by two brothers Jesus Gutierrez (1953) Manuel Gutierrez (1943) and three sisters, Margarita Heredia (1980), Carlotta Rodriguez (2005), and Barbarita Garcia (2004).
Survivors include his wife of Lubbock; four sons, Manuel and wife Lidia of Shallowater, Paul and wife Eva of Lubbock, John and wife Christy of Lubbock, Joe of Littlefield; six daughters, Lorraine and husband Jose Santos of Lubbock, Elena Gutierrez of Tennessee, Eva Gutierrez, Elidia Cavazos, Susana Gutierrez, Victoria Ovalle all of Lubbock; two brothers, Silverio and Alfredo both of Big Spring; four sisters, Josefita Uranga, Maria Gonzales and Lupe Brito all of Big Spring, Elisa G. Brito of Lovington, New Mexico; 34 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren.
Winnifred Galloway Huffman
Funeral services for Winnifred Galloway Huffman, 84, of Denver City, Texas will be held Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at 10 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Denver City, with Rev. Steve Brooks officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Sunset Memorial cemetery in Odessa the same day. Services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Chapel of Denver City.
Mrs. Huffman passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Denver City following a short illness. She was born on July 28, 1923 in Friona. She was a homemaker and an antique dealer. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Denver City and a member of the Iris Society of Odessa. She married
Chester Orville Huffman on Oct. 15, 1945 in Lovington, N.M. Her achievements include: Permian Playhouse stagehand of the year for the 1986-1987 season, Odessa College Theatre award for outstanding service in 1982-1983, Odessa Cultural Center award for outstanding volunteer to the Permian Playhouse in 1983 and Odessa Volunteer Center award for outstanding volunteer service to the Permian Playhouse. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992 and by one son, Chester Huffman, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Huffman and wife Nancy of Irving and Tommy Huffman of Raymondville; two daughters, Paula Flippin and husband Bill of Denver City and Ann Bruggeman and husband Deryl of Abilene; nine grandchildren, Mickey Berry, Cristie Hancock, Amy Hymel, Shelley Phillips, Jeannie Holley, James Scott, Tiffany Huffman Spiers, Christopher Huffman and Heather Godsey; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
