She was born June 7, 1928, in Taos, N.M. She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.

Russell Tarrance
Services for Russell Tarrance, 85, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. Friday at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home with the Rev. James Haney officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 18, 1913, in Tahoka.
He married
Joan Young on Aug. 8, 1939, in Lubbock. She preceded him in death, as did a son, David Maynard Tarrance..
He was a resident of Lubbock since 1925. He was a graduate of Texas Tech University.
He worked as a payroll clerk for Scoggin Dickey from June 1955 until he retired in 1995.
He was a Mason and a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a cousin, a nephew and a niece.

Linda Roderick

She died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in Lubbock.
She was born March 13, 1950, in Hearne.
Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Janice Cagle, Paula Mercer, Loretta Simpson and Tammy Roderick, all of Lubbock, Lynda Renee Roderick and Tara Roderick, both of Freeport; two sons, Jerry Paul Roderick Jr. and Foye Roderick, both of Lubbock; her mother, Eunice Sproles; a brother, Foy Darrell Sproles of Fort Worth; three sisters, Frieda Simmons of Freeport, Nancy Sproles of Lampasas and Davona Sollars of Missouri; and 21 grandchildren.

Johnny Patterson
BRECKENRIDGE - Services for Johnny Nevis Patterson, 74, of Breckenridge will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in Breckenridge cemetery under direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Patterson died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, in Fort Worth.
He was born May 1, 1924, in Stonewall County. He graduated from Peacock High School. He married
Katherine Thomas on June 20, 1941, in Peacock. He moved to Breckenridge from Lubbock in 1956. He worked for R.E. Dye Manufacturing from 1956 to 1987. He moved to Duncanville in 1987, where he was self-employed in plant sales. He returned to Breckenridge in 1991. He was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church, where he was a former music minister and deacon. A daughter preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carolyn Corbett of Arlington and Joni Thurmond of Duncanville; two sisters, Ida Pearl Smith of Plano and Nicki Baker of Bonham; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Heritage Room of Morehart Mortuary from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.

Lyndsi Miller
WHITNEY - Services for Lyndsi J. Kim Miller, 18, of Whitney will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Whitney with Bruce Martin, the Rev. Herb Thompson and Allan Lane officiating.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Englewood cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.
She died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, in Waco.
She was born April 11, 1980, in Lubbock. She was a 1998 graduate of Whitney High School, where she was a state qualifier in cross country and participated in track, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, FCA, FFA, PALS, German club and the Hill County Youth Collaboration. She was a top-10 finalist for the 1997 Laywitness for Christ Christian Athlete Award. She received an athletic booster scholarship, the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Award, who's who, class favorite and best smile. She had worked for Truly Texas and Spencer's. She was attending McLennan Community College and worked at West Tele-Communications. She was a member of the Whitney Church of Christ.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Sipper and Jay Bonner of Whitney; her father and step-mother, Jim and Karen Miller of Fort Worth; three brothers, Shayne Miller of Amarillo, and Chad Bonner and Dempsey Bonner, both of Whitney; a sister, Dacy Bonner of Whitney; two stepbrothers, Scott Morgan of Austin and Heath Morgan of Fort Worth; a stepsister, Kelley Corder of Fort Worth; her paternal grandparents, Harrison and Bessie Miller of Amarillo; her maternal grandfather, Spade Cooley of New Deal; and a step-grandmother, Frances Bonner of Whitney.

Joe Estrello

He was born in Ganado. He married
Winona Coffman on March 24, 1967, in Lubbock. He was a refrigeration service specialist for heating and air conditioning. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War and served in Germany. He was a park police officer for the Lubbock Police Department for more than four years. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Joyce Ann Banning of Althorne, England, and Shirley Renae Davis of Lubbock; his father, Mauro Estrello of Lubbock; seven sisters, Edith Meador, Ester Rank, Alice Kerr, Rosie Pemberton, Raquel Rodriguez, Mary Helen Godinez and Irene Adamson, all of Lubbock; three brothers, Marcus, Robert and Henry, all of Lubbock; and six grandchildren.

Will Williams on Oct. 1, 1949. She was a legal secretary for Vickers & Vickers Lawyers, SBA, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Lubbockview Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steve of Austin and David of Lubbock; a daughter, Shelley Cotten of Indiana; four sisters, Marge Erlenbusch of Maryland, Jo Ann Ross of Montana, Martha Lawrence of Amarillo and Joyce Powers of Waxahachie; and seven grandchildren.
Eddythe Hopkins

She died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in Carillon Medical Center.
She was born in Llano. She was a longtime teacher, having taught in Gorman, Floydada and Littlefield before coming to Lubbock. She taught at Roscoe Wilson Elementary School for a number of years and following her retirement, became director of the day school at First Christian Church. She married
Burl Bedford in 1950. He died in 1963. She married
A.G. Hopkins in 1972. He died in 1984. She was a member of Westmont Christian Church, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, the State and local teacher's association and served in the Auxiliary at University Medical Center.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Anna Broome

She died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 8, 1916, in Zichron-Jacov, Palestine, which is modern day Israel.
She married
James Broome on May 5, 1941, in Gaza, Palestine. He died on March 8, 1985.
She moved from Palestine to England in 1945 and immigrated to Lubbock in 1955. She was a housewife.
After her husband died, she became chairman of the board of Cross Keys Inc.
She was a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include three sons, James of Lubbock, John of Ransom Canyon and Mark of Beaumont; a daughter, Mary Michaud of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Malka Levitan of Montreal, Can., and Leah Ospalik and Luba Galmoudy, both of Tel-Aviv, Israel; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Spence Bevers
Service for Spence Bevers, 82, of the Pleasant Valley Community will be Monday at 3 p.m. in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Winchester, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Southland Resthaven cemetery under the direction of Justice-Mason Funeral Home of Post.
Bevers died Friday, March 5, 1999, at his home.
He was born Feb. 17, 1917, in Tokio. He attended school at Lee Forest and Justiceburg. He married
Oreta Hodges on Dec. 10, 1941, in Post. He worked for the civil service during World War II and attended Lamar Junior College. He started farming in Justiceburg and later moved to the Pleasant Valley Community to farm. He served many years on the Southland school board and as a deacon of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, of which he was a member. He retired from farming in 1990.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bill of Post, Larry of Weeping Water, Neb., Joe of Hampshire and Mark of Wilbur, Neb.; two daughters, Laura Conner and Sue Hart, both of Post; three brothers, Herbert Dale Bevers of Marble Falls, Hershel Bevers of Lubbock and Sam Bevers Jr. of Justiceburg; one sister, Evelyn Davidson of Saffort, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
