Bobby Lee Daugherty
Bobby Lee Daugherty, 74, of Lubbock, formerly of Olton, died Sunday, March 23, 2008. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Olton cemetery, with Vergil Ichtertz officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Mr. Daugherty was a member of Forrest Heights United Methodist Church. He was a retired painter and security guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce in 2006; a son, Joe Bob in 1999; and a daughter, Darla in 1953.

Arlon Ford
Services for Arlon Ford, 67, of Post will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the Hudman Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jack Alexander of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Terrace cemetery will under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
He died Monday, April 24 in Lubbock. He was born July 20, 1940, in Snyder, to Burl and Mary Nell Ford. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include one brother, B. A. Ford of Lubbock; one sister, Mary Beth Stalcup of Lubbock; one niece, Rachael Stalcup of Lubbock; one nephew, Jeff and spouse Kim of Plainview; one great-nephew, Chase Stalcup of Plainview; and a special friend: Jane George of Post.
Becky Beazley
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Becky Beazley at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at St. John's United Methodist Church with Reverend Ann Akin officiating. A committal service will follow on Friday at Sallisaw cemetery, Okla. Becky died Saturday, March 22, 2008, as a result of complications from lung cancer. Rebecca Ann was born to Dorothy Ann and Wayne Ford on Dec. 18, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Okla. The Ford family moved to Lubbock in the mid 60's from Houston. She attended Evans Jr. High and Monterey High School. Becky earned a Bachelor's of Arts in History and a Master's of Arts in French from Texas Tech University. Becky began her teaching career at Lubbock High School in 1985, where she taught French for twenty-three years. While teaching at Lubbock High School, she served as head of the foreign language department. Becky led her students to many first place awards in both state and national competitions. She also organized and supervised numerous Lubbock High School student trips to Europe. Becky enjoyed playing tennis at the Tennis Center of Lubbock.
Survivors include her sons, William and Joseph Beazley, both of Lubbock; mother, Dorothy Ann Ford; siblings, Philip Ford of Lubbock, Tom Ford of New York City, and Mary Borgwat of Atlanta, Ga. She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Ford.
In lieu of flowers, Becky's wishes were to send memorial tributes to Vista Care Hospice Foundation, 1717 Norfolk, #A-4th Floor, Lubbock, Texas 79416.
Betty Pearson
Funeral Services for Betty Pearson, 80, will be held Wednesday, March 26, at 2 p.m. in the Franklin-Bartley Chapel. Burial will be Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Clifton cemetery in Clifton. Her family will receive friends from 4- 6:30 p.m. today at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Pearson died Sunday, March 23, at UMC Hospital.
She was born July 26, 1927, in Collin County, the fifth child of Clint and Maude Webb. She graduated from Community High School in Nevada, Texas. On June 20, 1951, she married
Fredrick Pearson, whom she met while teaching in Clifton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
She was a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene and received a Master's Degree from the University of North Texas, Denton.
She was a life member of Texas State Teachers Association and Delta Pi Epsilon, a graduate society in Business Education, University of North Texas Chapter. She was active in Texas Business Education Association and served as District XII president. She served on the faculty of Clifton College and Clifton High School. After retirement, she was engaged in real estate. In 1992 she moved to Lubbock. She participated in the Lubbock-South Plains Retired Teachers association and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
Betty is survived by nine nieces, one nephew and a sister-in-law, Jeanelle Webb.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff of UMC for their wonderful care and compassion.

Wilta Irwin Hepp
Wilta Irwin Hepp passed away on March 18, 2008, after a short illness in the hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Irwin; father, Claude Henry Irwin; one brother and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Claudette Hepp Miskell; son-in-law, Gary Miskell; granddaughter, Jennifer Koch; grandson, Phillip Miskell; great-grandson, Ronin Koch; twin brother, Wilton Irwin; two sisters, Mary Robertson and Montie Hopkins; eight nieces and nephews; numerous great- nieces and nephews; three great-great nephews; one great-great niece and many friends of all ages. Wilta retired from a position with the State of Texas after over 35 years of service and discovered a love of life and a love of travel. She was an avid reader, a passion she passed on to many members of her family and also found plenty of time to put together puzzles. She spent many hours compiling an extensive family history and was often referred to as the "glue" that held the family together. Wilta loved everyone she met and will be sincerely missed by many people in both Texas and California, where she also lived part of the year. A private memorial service for the family was held on March 20, 2008. This celebration of her life was conducted by her great-nephew, Matthew Fouse.
William H. Greenlee
William H. Greenlee, 89, was born Nov. 23, 1918 in Potawatamie County, Oklahoma, and died March 24, 2007. A graduate of Konawa High School in Oklahoma, he was drafted into the United States Army at the beginning of World War II. He served in the 455th Battalion of Patton's 3rd Army, and was in the Invasion of Normandy. He served 304 days in combat, and was the recipient of the Bronze Star for his bravery on the battle field.
After World War II, he moved to Texas City, Texas, one month before the Texas City Explosion in 1947. He married
Faye Emerson on June 1st, 1947.
Together, they were active members of First Baptist Church in Texas City, Texas for most of their 54 years there. He retired from Union Carbide after
33 years as an operating engineer. They loved traveling, and in retirement he and Faye traveled most of the world.
In 1999 they moved to Lubbock to be closer to family. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lubbock. An avid history lover, he served as a docent at the Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock, giving tours as he walked on a walker, or in his wheelchair. He loved to share his experiences of WWII, the stories never changing, and always accurate. His military service in World War II was the epiphany of his life.
He is survived by his only child, Janis Greenlee Hayes, her husband, James Michael Hayes, who he adored as a son; a granddaughter, Erin Hayes Burt, and husband, Adam, of Tucson, Arizona; and a grandson, William Austin Hayes of Lubbock. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Faye Emerson Greenlee.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Rev. John Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Von Dean Otwell
Von Dean Otwell, 67, of Spur, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in Crosbyton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Dick Marcear and Mr. Darrell Bledsoe, ministers at the Church of Christ at the Colonies in Amarillo officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Von Dean was born Nov. 9, 1940 in Tipton, Oklahoma. He grew up in Tulia and attended Tulia High School. He served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962. He worked for Swisher Electric for 20 years and for Dickens Electric at Spur until 1995. He worked at the Dickens County Prison as a tower guard.
Survivors include two daughters, Denise Davis and husband James of Tulia and DeeAnn Pruitt and husband Dennis of Lubbock; two step-daughters, Debra Mattes of Dallas and Victoria Edwards of Houston; one sister, Barbara Watson of Kress and two brothers, Roger Otwell and David Otwell both of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild, one niece and nephew, Rachel Otwell of Amarillo and Adam Otwell of Amarillo. He is preceded in death by his son, Clay Otwell in 2001.
Shyann Garcia
Funeral services for Shyann Garcia, 18 month old infant daughter of Juan and Teresa Garcia of Slaton will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Slaton's Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial following in Englewood cemetery and under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton.
Shyann was born Sept. 9, 2006 in Lubbock. She passed from this life Saturday, March 22, 2008.
Shyann's survivors also include her brother, Emilio; sisters, Stephanie and Maria T. Garcia; paternal grandparents; Maria and Salvador Garcia; maternal grandparents, Gilberto and Tereza Hernandez; maternal great grandfather, Abundio Castillo and paternal great grandmother Barbarita Muniz.
Roy James "RJ" O'Hair
Roy James "RJ" O'Hair, 81, passed away on early Easter Morning, March 23, 2008. RJ was born on Nov. 1, 1926, in Quanah, Texas. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1943 and served his country during World War II as a member of our greatest generation. He married
Kathryn Millsap March 2, 1946, in Clovis, New Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his children, Sheila, Marc, Toni and Brant; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Patsy Ann Finch
Patsy Ann Finch, 76, of Hart, Texas passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at her resident. She was born Dec. 2, 1931 in Hope, Arkansas. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years Robert Finch, Sr., who lives in Hart, Texas; 11 sons, one son, Sammy Finch of Hart, Texas, preceded her in death Aug. 10, 2006, Sergeant First Class Taft Finch of Mannheim, Germany, Billy Finch of Hart, Texas, Willie Finch and Michael Finch both of Kress, Texas, Robert Finch, Jr., and Bruce Finch both of Lubbock, Texas; Joseph Finch of Slaton, Texas, Bobby Finch of Plainview, Texas, Randy Finch of Tulia, Texas, and Steven Finch of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Joyce Sander, and Brenda Yarbrough both of Tulia, Texas, and Sarah Frazier of Lubbock, Texas; one sister, Marion Wabbington of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Elliot Ellis of Texarkana, Texas; 49 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Hart, Texas, burial will follow at Hart cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Family will receive friends today from 3-7 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary.
Nick Moutos
Services for Nick Moutos, 75, of Lubbock, will be held on Thursday, March 27th, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church with Father Peter DeFonce, officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6:30-8:30, p.m. with a Memorial Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel.
Nick was born in Rentina, Greece and immigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1951. He graduated from Texas Technological College with a B.A. in Mathematics in 1961. He worked for the U.S. Treasury Service as a Revenue Officer from 1970, until his retirement in 1995. After retiring in Lubbock, he tutored students in mathematics.
Nick was a member of St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church, Texas Tech Alumni Assoc. and the Red Raider Club. He was an avid Red Raider fan and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Nick was preceded in death by two very special pet companions; "D-Day" and "K.C."
Survivors include a son, Nick A. Moutos and wife Amanda of Lubbock; a daughter, Tina Virnell-Fotini Hernandez and husband Albert Jr. of Lubbock; a brother Vas Moutos of Lubbock; two sisters, Angela Mendoza of San Antonio, Koula Kanellas of Greece; seven grandchildren, Demetrious Alexander Moutos, Blakely Suzann Hernandez, Athena Elene Moutos, Mia Fotini Hernandez, Kasey Ruthardt, Hayden and Cayden McElwee; and good friends, Jerry and Judy Courtney.
