Julia Judy Reasoner Wallace
Services were held for Julia "Judy" Reasoner Wallace at 2 p.m., Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Crosbyton with Pastor Jim Reinbolt officiating. Burial was in Crosbyton cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Judy was born in Lubbock to Dortha and Bates Reasoner on April 15, 1945 and died in Crosbyton Monday, March 24, 2008. She married
Lonnie David Wallace on Nov. 16, 1968. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2008.
Survivors include her children, Shane and Angela Wallace of Idalou, Dusty and Heather Cornelius of Crosbyton; eight grandchildren, Nicole King, Blace, Brooks and Bonnor Wallace, Chase Young, Keeley, Ty and Kynzee Cornelius; mother, Dortha Reasoner of Acuff, and two sisters, Terica Starkes of Lubbock and Marcie Cochran of League City.
Noma Jordan
Noma Jordan, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in Lubbock, Texas after a long and prosperous life. She was born on Oct. 14, 1919 in Corsicana, Texas to Samuel and Dorothy Bell. Noma had three brothers, Billy, James, and David Earl. As a young child, her family moved to West Texas, were she graduated from New Deal. After living through the great depression, she moved to California to help the war effort on the home front by driving supply trucks. Following World War II, she returned to Texas and married
Randle Jordan in 1945. During her time in Lubbock and Shallowater, she raised two sons, Sam and Danny, as well as working for and retiring from Texas Instruments. After fifty nine years of marriage, Randle passed away in 2004.
Noma is survived by her brother David Earl and her two sons and their spouses: Sam and Gwen Jordan and Danny and Shelley Jordan, of Lubbock. She also has four grandchildren. They are Jackie Davila of San Antonio, Heather Jordan of Dallas, Stacy Jordan of Lubbock, and Courtney Huntsman of Shallowater. Furthermore, Noma leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Troy Evans of Midland, Zoei Huntsman of Shallowater, Francis and Rudy Davila of San Antonio, and Talon Garcia, who was born just a few hours after she passed on.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven cemetery on Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m.

Elizabeth Kay Turner
Elizabeth Kay Turner, 58, of Amarillo died March 27, 2008.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Memory Gardens cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Joel Travis of Family Life Fellowship will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Kay was born March 17, 1950 in Wheeler. She married
Gary Turner in Amarillo on Sept. 2, 1966. Family was her life. She was the epitome of the perfect care giver and found joy in all things involving her family and close friends. Kay will be forever loved and remembered as a delightful daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Stacie Fawell of BSA Home Healthcare for her abundance of love and compassion shown to the entire family during this time.
She is survived by her husband, Gary, of Amarillo; one daughter, Tonya Turner of Amarillo; one son, Michael Turner and wife Cathy Starr of Atlanta, Ga.; her parents, William and Faye Butler of Lubbock; one brother, Gary Anderson of Amarillo; one sister, Nell Elston of Lubbock; and three grandchildren, Zack Turner, Chase Mahoney and Michaelyn Mahoney.

Jean Haberer
Jean Haberer of Earth departed this life on March 25, 2008 at the age of 79 years. She was born on April 22, 1928 in Burkburnett to Robert Golden and Katie Zou Blair Wilson. On Jan. 1, 1947, she married
Phillip Cowsert Haberer in Earth. Jean farmed side by side with her husband and was a homemaker for her family. Her husband preceded her in death in February, 1998.
Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springlake and was involved in many church activities. She taught Sunday school for old and young adults, was a member of various church committees, sang in the choir, worked in vacation bible school, was the Church Decoration Chair, and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years and one brother, R.G. Wilson. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kleta (Fritz) Gerner of Lubbock and Sharla (Ray) Bush of Aiken, South Carolina; and one son, Daniel Ray Haberer and wife Lorrie of Denver, Colorado.
Jean will be in state after 9 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2008 at White Funeral Home in Lubbock and after 9 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Springlake. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time there at the church. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Springlake First Baptist Church, with Glenn Harlin officiating. Interment will follow at Earth Memorial cemetery in Earth.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Earth Memorial cemetery, Box 253, Earth, Texas or the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Springlake, Texas.

Gregoria Goya Flores
Rosary for Gregoria "Goya" Flores, 71, of Lubbock will be today at 7 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Father Gerard Kenney, Pastor officiating. Burial will be at Idalou cemetery under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
Goya passed away on Wednesday. She was born on Dec. 17, 1936 in Sanderson, Texas to the late Feliciano (1967) and Maria (1978) Romo. She moved to Lubbock County in 1950 coming from Sanderson. She married
Jessie Flores Sr. on Oct. 3, 1959 in Slaton, Texas. She was a housewife and a Catholic.
She is preceded in death by two daughters, Angelita Flores (1981) and Hilda Flores (1960).
Survivors include her husband Jessie Sr. of Lubbock; a son Jesse Jr. and wife Dalia Flores of Acuff; three daughters Irma and husband Pedro Saenz of Arlington, Theresa Rosales and husband Abel Arellano of Arlington, Rosa Linda Flores of Lubbock; a brother Tony Romo of Monahans; two sisters, Viviana Garcia of Olton and Chona Lomas of Sanderson, Texas; 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Eula Vern (Rushing) Thornton
Eula Vern (Rushing) Thornton, of Midland, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008.
She was born Feb. 16, 1922 to Irene and Bert Rushing in Royston, Texas. On Nov. 25, 1946 she married
Jack D. Thornton in Rotan, Texas. Mrs. Thornton worked as a machinist for Consolidated Aircraft in Ft. Worth, Texas during World War II. She owned a patent and was an avid seamstress, poet, wife and mother. She enjoyed quilting, dancing and politics. Her proudest achievement was her service in World War II.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, eldest son J. Neil Thornton, three brothers and two sisters.
Eula Vern is survived by her sons, Wayne Thornton and wife Karen of Lubbock, and J.B. Thornton of Midland; grandson, Brian Thomas Henry Thornton of Lubbock, and step-grandson James Crewse and his wife Kellie of Dallas, Texas. Memorial services have been scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guadalupe E. Lupio Herrera, Jr
Guadalupe E. "Lupio" Herrera, Jr. of Lubbock departed this life on March 26, 2008 at the age of 51 years. He was born on Oct. 3, 1956 in Dugway Proven Grounds, Tooele, Utah to Guadalupe and Dubelia Herrera, Sr. Guadalupe was a self-employed, general contractor. He was Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Juan and Cecelia Medrano; paternal grandparents, Theodore and Sara Herrera; one son, Gabriel Herrera; and one brother, Tony Herrera. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Guadalupe and Dubelia Herrera, Sr.; four daughters, Patricia Gaitan, Iola Herrera, Daniella Kongstvedt, and Daniella Valdez, all of Lubbock; two brothers, Raymond Herrera and Rene Herrera, both of Lubbock; two sisters, Sara Lozano of San Antonio and Cathy Herrera of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.
Prayer Services will be at 6 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2008 at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock. Celebration of Life Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008 at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock, with Julio Trevino officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial cemetery in Woodrow.

Norma Ray (Cranston) Porter
Born May 30, 1920 to Lee and Vera Cranston in Huron South Dakota, she was raised in Christian faith and similarly raised three children. She reaffirmed her faith by adult Baptism.
Those of us fortunate enough to know Norma, knew a Christian lady, who in Austin on March 26th, 2008 departed this world to become a witness to the resurrection.
She leaves behind three children, Dr. Scott C. Porter, Patricia L. Cruce, and Hugh A. Porter; one sister, Mary Lee Johnson; three grandchildren Caleb, Joshua, and Jacob Cruce and many beloved friends and relatives.
Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, 200 W. New Hope Dr., Cedar Park, Texas 78613 on 30th of March, 2008 at 2 p.m.

Gloria Castro Olivarez
Gloria Castro Olivarez, 62, of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. She was born in Spur, Texas to Jose Castro Sr. and Tiodora Vasquez Castro.
She was married
on Sept. 28, 1963 to Roberto Olivarez and worked for 18 1/2 years at Texas Instruments.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Roberto; sons, Ricky Olivarez of Lubbock, Albert Olivarez of Aurora, Ill., Ray Olivarez of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter Cynthia Narbaez of Lubbock; brothers, Joe Castro, Jr., Lucio Castro, Romeo Castro, Alex Castro, all of Lubbock, Larry Castro of Ft. Worth; sisters, Lupe Cantu of Lubbock, Veronica Torres of Lubbock, Julia Rivera of Grand Prairie and eight grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Corinna Olivarez.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Christ the King Cathedral with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Rosary service will be held 6 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home.
