She died Friday, May 7, 1999, in Runningwater Draw Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1913, in Edna. She married
W.W. "Bill" Bearden on Sept. 22, 1934, in Paducah. She moved to Olton from Paducah in 1942. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Olton. A son, Royce Bearden, died in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Hasha of Graham and Becky DeBerry of Olton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton or to Olton Ambulance Association.

Burial will be in Oklahoma Lane cemetery under direction of Muffley Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in the Retirement Ranch.
She was born Aug. 18, 1897, in Franklin. She married
Charlie W. Morris on March 30, 1918, in Guthrie, Okla. He died in 1981. They moved to Clovis in 1939. She was a member of First Church of God in Christ, where she served as church secretary/treasurer and as a Sunday schoolteacher. She was a licensed minister, and she had been a missionary. She was a homemaker. Two sons, Timothy and Samuel Eugene, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a brother, Carey Morrow of Franklin; a sister, Sadie Thomas of Houston; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Shumard died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, in Beaumont.
He was born Aug. 30, 1954, in Post. He attended Post schools and graduated from Post High School. He graduated from Texas Tech. He worked at Pinkies and for Western Geophysical.
Survivors include his father, V.L. "Buster" Shumard of Post; a stepdaughter, DeDe Varnell of Lubbock; a brother, Billy of Post; and a sister, Barbara Britton of Post.

Services for R.G. "Dick" Stapleton, 84, of The Woodlands will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Abbey Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Stapleton died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Houston.
He was born July 6, 1914. He owned Stapleton Lumber Co. in Wolfforth. He moved to Eastland from Wolfforth in 1965, and he moved to Dumas in 1973. He moved to Houston in January 1999. He farmed and ranched in Eastland and Dumas. In Wolfforth, he helped found the Wolfforth Heights Addition, the Wolfforth State Bank, and he brought natural gas to many irrigation wells. He was a U.S. veteran of World War II. He was a member of Dumas Lions Club and Christ United Methodist Church of Dumas.
Survivors include his wife, Ida B. Stapleton; two sons, Richard of Statesboro, Ga., and Jim of Houston; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was born March 23, 1934, in Clovis, N.M. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Friona. He was a member of Castro County Masonic Lodge No. 879. He was a retired laborer and lifetime resident of Parmer County.
Survivors include his stepmother, Mildred Mercer of Friona; and a brother, Joe Mercer of Friona.

Cecilia Aguero on May 10, 1941, in Poteet. She died March 22, 1992. He moved to Smyer in 1982 from Poteet. He moved to Levelland in 1994. He was a farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Mike of Levelland and Isidro of Detroit, Mich.; a daughter, Elena Guerrero of Smyer; a brother, Jose Maria Garcia of Pleasanton; a sister, Jesusa Montez of Pleasanton; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Elmo O. Snelling on July 14, 1940, in Hollis, Okla. She moved to Plainview from Hollis in 1950. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Edmonson Northwest Home Demonstration Club and 4-H Club. She was a life member of the PTA. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Guy of Edmonson and Wayne of Plainview; two daughters, Jean Courtney of Allen and Dela Kellner of Blanchard, Okla.; four sisters, Margurette Spradin of Clovis, N.M., Wanda Lentz of Neosho, Mo., Vernell Seals of Bartlesville, Okla., and Vada Jo Choate of Ada, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
