Wanda Bea Foust
Services for Wanda Bea Foust, 78, of Lorenzo will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kelly Inman and Rev. Sven Appleton officiating. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. at Littlefield cemetery in Littlefield under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Mrs. Foust passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the Ralls Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Littlefield, to the late R. V. and Louise (Walden) Armstrong. Wanda married
Joe Bob Foust, Sr. on Aug. 21, 1948, in Santa Rosa, N.M. He preceded her in death March 9, 1994. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Armstrong and a sister, Sarah Armstrong. She was a member of the Liberty Rock Church and moved to Lorenzo in 1964 from Levelland.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Joe Bob and Suzanne Foust of Lorenzo and Chuck and Mary Gwen Foust of Plano, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Lester Burl Dunn
Lester Burl Dunn, 87, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 5, 2008.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Lubbock, with Reverends Bobby Dagnel and Randy Holman officiating.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Sanders Funeral Home.
Lester was born Jan. 12, 1921, in Kirkland, to Addison Zebedee
(Dee) Dunn and Mattie Lorena Cowan. He spent most of his youth in the Rocky Ford Community near Amherst, graduating from Amherst High in 1939. He was married
to the love of his life, Aileen Gilliland, for over 67 years.
He lived in Amarillo over 30 years. He served in the Army from 1943-1946 in the 90th Infantry Division and made the invasion of Normandy on D-Day on Omaha Beach. He received three Purple Hearts, three Bronze stars and the Legion of Honor from the U. S. government.
He was a farmer in his youth. He worked at International Harvester as a regional manager, and retail sales with Sears & Roebuck and Alamo Furniture and Carpet. After retirement, he worked for Jones Funeral Service and Sanders Funeral Home. He was a volunteer at the V. A. outpatient clinic in Lubbock and the South Plains Food Bank.
He is a member of the Disabled American Veterans, military Order of the Purple Heart. He was also a member of Yellowhouse Masonic Lodge 841, a 32nd degree member of Scottish Rite, a York Rite Mason, and a member of Khiva Shrine.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and his beloved grandson, Forest Dunn. He is survived by his wife, Aileen of Lubbock; brother, Roy Lee and wife Charolette of Amarillo; sister, Lucille Oaks of Bethlehem, Ga.; daughter, Cynthia Ann Skinner and husband Robert of Frisco; son, Larry Burl and Rosemary Bolza of Ft. Defiance, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Hannah Dunn of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Sara Dunn of Seattle, Wash.; two grandsons, Chris Skinner of Lone Tree, Colo. and Jon Skinner of Frisco; and two great-granddaughters, Emily Cook of Little Elm and Tera Rose Skinner of Frisco; five nephews; eight nieces; and Forest's widow, Jessi Dunn.

Mack Curtis Fowler
Mack Curtis Fowler, 89, of Paden, Okla., formerly of Smyer, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Mack was born in Lakeview but was proud to call Smyer his home. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. On Aug. 22, 1945, he married
Mickey Frogge.
Mack was a farmer and ginner, but a fisherman at heart. He will be sadly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nila "Toots" Fowler; daughter, Sherry Henson and husband Bobby of Smyer; son, Danny Fowler and wife Melissa of Abilene; brother, Kenneth Fowler of Lubbock; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mickey Fowler; sons, Donnie and Steve Fowler; and three sisters.
Graveside services with military honors will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Memorial Park. Celebration of Life service will follow at 4 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m.

Alexis Party Ann Enriquez
Funeral services for Alexis Party Ann Enriquez, 16, of Littlefield will be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at First Baptist Church, in Littlefield.
Burial will be at Littlefield Memorial cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. She died on Sunday, May 4, 2008. She was born on Dec. 7, 1991, in Lubbock, to Mary Ann Casas and Jesus Enriquez Jr.
Alexis enjoyed school and basketball. She was close to her family and friends. In 2004, she was diagnosed with Devics Syndrome and in 2007 with Multiple Sclerosis. Alexis will be missed.
Survivors include her parents, Mary Ann and Jesus Enriquez Jr.; sisters, Jazmine Lee, Aliyanna Sanae and Marisol Garza; and brother, Nico Lee.
Don William Buxkemper
Rosary services for Don Buxkemper, 60, of Slaton, will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in Englunds Chapel. Resurrection mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 in Slaton's St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Englewood cemetery and under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Don died Monday, May 5, 2008 and was born Aug. 6, 1947 in Slaton. He grew up in Slaton and graduated from Slaton High School in 1965. Don had lived in Houston before returning to Slaton in 1980. He was an automotive mechanic and worked for O'Reilly Auto Parts in Lubbock.
His survivors include his sons, Jerry, Michael, and DJ; brother, Larry; and two grandchildren.
Paul Armes
Paul Armes, 80, of Levelland, formerly of Odessa, passed away, Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the Covenant Hospital in Levelland.
Paul was born to J B and Maggie Armes, in Odell, on Feb. 19, 1928. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked in the oil field for over fifty years in the US and overseas. He married
Mozelle Tucker in January 1957 and she preceded him in death June of 2002.
He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Ophelia Greenwalt and Mary Jo Adkins.
He is survived by his children, C. M. "Boogie" Armes and wife Vikki of Midland, and Morris Armes and Linda Hensley, both of Levelland. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Zella Slaughter and Truman Lee Parmer of Levelland, and Dean Renfro of Brownfield.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Jason Harmeyer.

Roy W. McNeese
Roy Wilson McNeese, 89, started his heavenly journey Monday, May 5, 2008, at Grace House of Lubbock. Funeral services are planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Redbud Baptist Church, with Syl Moore and Pastor Shon Wagner officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Roy Wilson McNeese was born Dec. 13, 1918, in Roundrock, to Benjamin and Ethel (Kemp) McNeese. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 in World War II. He married
Emily Marie Goff on Feb. 21, 1947, in Clovis, N.M. Roy and Marie lived in Smyer for 34 years. Roy worked at Reese Air Force Base as a hydraulic foreman from 1947 until 1977. He was currently a member of Redbud Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Roy loved to farm. He served on the Smyer School Board. Roy had a daily, personal relationship with his Lord. His grandchildren were the greatest blessing in his life.
Roy is survived by his daughters, Barbara Lynn Blevins and husband Don Blevins, Jr. of Shallowater, Beverly Jo Berry and husband Lynn Berry of Sundown, Brenda Kay Wright and husband Mitch Wright of Lubbock; grandchildren, Don Blevins, III, Hunter Berry, Madison Berry, Ashley Masek, Holly Boehm, Curtis Berry, Reagan Wright, and Cameron Wright; and great-granddaughter, Harley Boehm. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, on April 14, 2007. He was also preceded by his parents; his brothers; Leonard and E.D. "Dub" McNeese; and sister, Annie Pearl Edwards.

Mildred Louise Cox
Graveside services for Mildred Louise Cox, 84, of Amherst will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Fairlawn cemetery in Amherst, with Reverend Ted Wilson officiating and Reverend Lou Ellerbrook assisting. A celebration service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.
Mrs. Cox passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at Lamb Healthcare Center, in Littlefield. She was born June 8, 1923, in Snyder, to Jesse James and Valara (Stuard) Middleton. She married
James Cox on May 2, 1941, at Mineral Wells. They moved to Amherst in 1943. She loved gardening, growing flowers and watching the birds. She was an accomplished artist. Mildred was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Amherst. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, on Oct. 8, 2006.
She is survived by four sons, James Glenn Cox of Muleshoe, Reagan Lee Cox of Muleshoe, Toby Cox of Amarillo, and Stephen Clay Cox of Cat Springs; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
There will be a family visitation Tuesday, May 6, 2008, from 5-7 p.m., at Hammons Funeral Home in Amherst.
Beryl L. Schoepf
Family and friends of Beryl L. Schoepf, of Hockley County, will gather to reminisce his 88 years of life from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 82nd and Iola Avenue in Lubbock. Reverend Mark McMillan will lead the family and friends in celebrating his life at 1 p.m. at Wolfforth's First Baptist Church. Family and friends who wish to view his remains prior to the final closure should plan on being at the church from 12 until 12:45 p.m. the day of service. Fort Hood Army Base will present his family with military honors during a committal service at Resthaven Memorial Park. Our loving brother, father, and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 4, 2008.
Beryl was born on April 2, 1920 in Bell County, Texas, to Earl Thomas and Cora Ann Schoepf. He served in the Army during WWII. After the war, he worked hard farming with his brother Pete on the family farm. Beryl married
Mary Lynn Travis in 1958, his loving wife of 46 years. Mary preceded him in death in 2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Rusty Schoepf and wife, Tonya, of Wolfforth and daughter, Sharon Henderson and husband, Craig, of Lubbock; grandchildren, Justin and wife, Lauren, of Wolfforth, Heath Schoepf, of Wolfforth, Austin Schoepf, of S.C., Landon, Bransen and Grant Henderson, of Lubbock. He is also survived by a brother, James "Pete" Schoepf, of Ropesville, and three sisters, Cleta Franklin, Wanda Powell and Elsie Stegall, all from Lubbock.
He is preceded in death by five siblings: brothers, Charles, George, Earl and Jarrett Schoepf; and one sister, Cora Mae Reynolds.
