Danny Tyson Moore
Danny Tyson Moore was born Dec. 13, 1944, in Ralls. He was the son of Warren and Charlene Moore. He attended high school in Ralls and graduated from Texas Canyon State University with a degree in Business Administration. He was very athletic and played football and basketball his entire life, and enjoyed traveling and spending time at home.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Zook Moore, who resides at the family home in Mesa, Ariz.; twin brother, Donnie Moore of Clinton, Okla.; brothers, Butch Moore of Lubbock, and Jody Moore of Ft. Worth; five children, Michelle Beery of Freeport, Fla., Heather Rogers of Richardson, Shane Moore of Austin, Danny Moore Jr. and Sheila Moore, both of Springtown. He is also survived by stepson, Todd Wellington of Mesa, Ariz. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two uncles, and a stepdaughter.
Services were held 2 p.m. June 14, 2008 in Lewistown, Ill.

Billy Allen Alexander
Services for Billy Allen Alexander, 71, of Lubbock, will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Oak-wood United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven.
Billy, who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend, lost his extended battle with cancer June 15, 2008, and rests in the arms of his Savior. One of seven children, Bill was born in Tupelo, Miss., July 18, 1936. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During his 20 year career, Bill served in stations throughout the world including a tour in Viet Nam. While assigned to the ROTC detachment at Texas Tech, Bill completed his BBA in, accounting and earned his CPA which he put to use in thirty two years of private practice in Lubbock.
Bill will be missed by his wife of twenty-eight years, Janell Alexander, and is survived by his five children/step children, Rhonda Medellin and husband Gabe, Cheryl Alexander, Connie Baird and husband Jim, Vicki DeVantier and husband Mark, and Ronnie Burns and wife Susan; and daughter-in-law Kay Alexander. Additionally he is survived by 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
An active member of Oakwood United Methodist Church, Bill served as a teacher, Bible study leader and church financial advisor. He was a long time member of the Texas Society of CPA's and the Masonic Lodge. Bill was recognized as the Business Associate of the Year by the American Business Women's Association in 1990.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother as well as his son Mark Alexander. He was loved and respected by both his family and friends and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Bill be made to Oakwood United Methodist Church: 2215 58th ST, Lubbock TX 79412.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m.
Aaron Gardner
On Jan. 13, 1926, Aaron Luther was born to Martin Luther and Minnie Mae (Pierce) Gardner in Durant, Okla., formerly Chowtaw Indian Territory. He served during World War II in the Lightning Division of the US Army. Aaron married
Barbara Schuler on June 26, 1958, and they had two daughters. He retired from his Electrical Engineering work in 1988. Aaron passed away June 15, 2008.
Aaron was preceded in death by his wife Barbara on Feb. 12, 1990; and by his parents; two sisters, Altha Allard and Moina Dean Spears; and one brother, Gene Gardner. Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Vicki Gardner Steen and Terri Gardner-Guajardo; beloved son, David Guajardo; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Aaron, and Anna; six great-grandchildren; his beloved sisters, Frances Moore of Lubbock and Edith Elsik of Albuquerque; his beloved brothers, Charles Gardner of Hanford, Calif., and Loren Langston of Lubbock; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews, including Rox Huber of Paris, Texas.
Special thanks are sent to Interim Hospice and all the medical staff who cared for him.
His family will greet friends tonight at Rix on Broadway from 7 - 8 p.m. Memorial services will be 4 p.m., Wednesday, June 18th, in W.W. Rix Chapel.

Hilliard Moffett McLamore
Hilliard Moffett McLamore, aka "Mac" McLamore, 72, died peacefully at his home on June 14, 2008.
Born on April 2, 1936, in Lubbock, he graduated from Lubbock Senior High in 1953. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1956, where he specialized in radar operation, radio operation (Morse code) and cryptography. After his honorable discharge, he attended Texas Tech and the University of Texas, and earned membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He studied mathematics and electrical engineering, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas in 1959. He was a Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Texas, AF and AM, Yellowhouse Lodge # 841 of Lubbock.
He lived a productive life as one of the first computer programmers, and he advanced alongside the industry. His humble nature, good will and sense of humor will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gudrun, of Vienna, Va.; his son, Lars, of Burke, Va.; his daughter, Christina, of Miami, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two half-sisters.
He will come to rest at Arlington cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to a favorite charity that benefits veterans.
Laura Gerner Wood
Services for Laura Gerner Wood, age 61, of Lubbock, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Grace Lutheran Church in Slaton. Pastor Evonne Kiebler will officiate. Burial will follow at the Terrace cemetery under the personal care of Justice-Mason Funeral Home of Post.
Laura died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at the Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born on April 4, 1947, to Amos and Lorine(Haley) Gerner. Laura started school at Garnolia and later attended Post Schools where she graduated in 1965. After high school she attended Drawns Business College at Lubbock. For many years she worked for Hobbs Trailers and the Lubbock County Appraisal District. She married
Billy Wood on May 6, 1995, in Slaton, and made their home in Lubbock. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Slaton. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Amos Gerner, Jan. 31, 1985, and Lorine Gerner, May 15, 1997.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Wood of Lubbock; two brothers, Kenneth Gerner of Houston, and Jerry Gerner of Post; one sister, Louise Gerner of Dallas; two step-sons, Toby Wood and Cary Wood, both of Arkansas; two step-daughters, Christina Wood of Corpus Christi, and Julie Wood of Austin. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephew and cousins; seven step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be George Stanley, Damon Stotts, Jerry Dubose, Scott Gerner, Marcus Wall and Karl Gerner.

Tom E. Coffman
Tom E. Coffman, 82, of Lubbock passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008. He was born in Lamesa on Dec. 30, 1925, to W.P. and Leona (Messer) Coffman.
Tom served his country in the United States Navy during WWII receiving the Victory and American Campaign Medals. After his discharge in 1946, he worked as a dental assistant and joined the Lubbock Police Department. He later became a firefighter for the Lubbock Fire Department and was owner of Southwest Backhoe.
Tom was a member of Highland Baptist Church and will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Gladys Coffman; daughter, Carolyn Hough and husband Al; step-daughter, Shirley Parramore; grandchildren Cristy Reed, Charles Morrow, Kimberly Thomas; step-grandchildren Cindy Strawbridge and husband Jerry, Mark Parramore and wife Amy; five great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Trinidad Olivarez
Trinidad Olivarez of Idalou departed this life on June 15, 2008, at the age of 86 years. She was born to Mariano and Jovita (Hernandez) Sanchez on Oct. 3, 1921, in Elgin. Trinidad married
Manuel Olivarez on Aug. 31, 1940, in Caldwell. He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 2007. She moved from Colorado City, to Idalou in 1986. Trinidad was a Guadalupana, a Cursillista, and a member of St Philip Benezi Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish Trinidad's memory are four daughters, Lola Cardenas and husband, Frank of Slaton, Esperanza Ortega and husband Celestino of Idalou, Seferina Duran and husband, Tony of Lubbock, and Juanita Stockton and husband, Joe of Warrensburg, Mo.; seven sons, Ben Olivarez and wife Sonia of Houston, Blas Olivarez and wife Joann of Idalou, Manuel Olivarez, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Idalou, Mario Olivarez of Houston, Andy Olivarez and wife Delia of Colorado City, Miguel Olivarez of Idalou and Carlos Olivarez and wife, Isabel of Idalou; 34 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and one sister, Angelita DeLeon of Caldwell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel; parents; grandparents; two brothers Esiquio and Angel Sanchez; one sister, Manuelita Sanchez; and two sons, Solomon and Miguel Olivarez.
Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at St. Philip Benezi Catholic Church in Idalou. Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at St. Philip Benezi Catholic Church in Idalou with Msg. Buxkemper officiating. Interment will follow at Idalou cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Dr. William Sheral Sparks
Dr. William Sheral Sparks, Th.D., 83, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, after a short battle with cancer and complications from pulmonary edema. He was born Oct. 30, 1924, in Alden Bridge, La., to Fred DeWitt Sparks and Truda Luvena Bradford. Bill was united in marriage for 60 years to Joy Eleanor Young on Aug. 8, 1947. They have two children, a son, David Frederick (Carolyn) Sparks from Tripoli, Iowa; and daughter Carol Eileen Sparks (deceased Jan 5, 1997); and two grandchildren John Ryan and Ashley Kay Sparks.
Bill was a brilliant man! He received his Bachelor of Divinity at Phillip's University, Enid, Okla., in 1946; Master of Divinity at Butler University-Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis, Ind., in 1948; Completed a three-year scholarship at Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion and ordained in the Methodist Church in 1952, however, he was a minister in the Christian Church since 1942; Doctor of Theology at The Iliff School of Theology, Denver, Colo., in 1958; Library of Science Degree at University of Denver, Denver, Colo., in 1960; Librarian at Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina, Kan., until 1966; Director Emeritus of Library and Information Services, Professor Emeritus of Theological Bibliography and Research at St. Paul School of Theology, Kansas City, Mo., until retiring in 1993, a total of 27 years. Bill was a man of many traits, a Librarian, Professor, minister who taught Old Testament Studies and had many classes at the church, First United Methodist in Lubbock. He was a member of the H.I. Robinson Sunday School Class.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Sanctuary with Reverend Keith Wiseman officiating.
Family visitation will be after service in the parlor.
Winona Adair Williamson
Winona Adair Williamson, 73, of Littlefield, passed from this life Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Littlefield. She was born May 17, 1935, in Mineral Wells, to Gordon and Ethel Weathersbee.
Winona married
James Adair in 1952. With him, she had two children, Steve and Cynthia Adair. He preceded her in death in 1989. She then married
Joe Williamson in 1997 in Las Vegas. Winona was a hairdresser in the Littlefield area for many years, and was a member of the Crescent Park Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James; a brother, George Weathersbee; and a sister, Dorothy Sherrill.
Those left to cherish Winona's memory are her husband, Joe Williamson, of Littlefield; a daughter, Cynthia King and husband Johnny of Sudan; a son, Steve Adair of Littlefield; two grandsons, Chad and Russ King; and a sister, Alice Mitchell of Amarillo.
Services to honor the life of Winona will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home with Terry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 17, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
