SNOOK (Special) Graveside services for Cecil T. Reynolds, 75, of Snook will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Giesenschlag cemetery with the Rev. Henry Beseda officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, May 6, 1999, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 6, 1923. He retired from Porter Better Grow in 1985. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 until 1945.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine Reynolds, and his second wife, Lillie Reynolds.
Survivors include a son, Cecil T. Reynolds II of Snook; a daughter, Tonya Forburger of Lubbock; a sister, Elizabeth Hardy of Houston; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday.

Eva Albright
Services for Eva Jewel Albright, 90, of Lubbock will be today in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. John Donnerberg, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
She died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, in Heritage Oaks Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 22, 1908, in Lamar County. She moved to Lubbock in 1944. She married
George Irving Albright on June 29, 1929, in Hugo, Okla. He died on Dec. 8, 1976. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker and also worked in retail sales until her retirement.
Survivors include one son, Benny Albright of Lubbock; two daughters, Jane White and Liz Jordan, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Fay Matthews of Muleshoe, Joy Herron and Bess Nehila, both of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be made to a favorite charity.

Van Jacobs
PORTALES, N.M. (Special) Services for Van Grady Jacobs, 80, of Portales will be at 2 p.m. today at Wheeler Mortuary Chapel.
Burial will be in Portales cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary of Portales, Inc.
He died Wednesday, May 5, 1999, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was born Aug. 2, 1918, in Lone Pine, Ark. He married
Myra Herman on Aug. 19, 1951, in Portales. He was the fourth child in a family of six. On New Year's Eve, 1923 the family moved from Arkansas to a farm east of Farwell. They later moved to Oklahoma Lane and he received most of his education there and in Muleshoe. In 1938, they moved to Portales. In 1941, he entered the U.S. Army and was sent to Europe in the infantry during World War II. He received a Purple Heart for wounds during a battle in Germany. Following the War, he returned to Portales and worked in local body shops doing car repair until 1947, when he became the first school mechanic at Eastern New Mexico University. He taught welding, power mechanics and machine shop at Eastern until 1970. In the fall of 1970, he became the Industrial Cooperative Training instructor at Goddard High School in Roswell, N.M. He had been retired since 1980.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Greg Jacobs of the home; two daughters, Debbie Reeves of Portales and Patti Campbell of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mary Emma McPheil of Melbourne, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund in Clovis.
William Chisum
Services for William M. Chisum, 71, of Lubbock will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. E.L. Bynum and Rev. Dean Robinson officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Mountainair, N.M. He graduated from Mountainair High School and served two years in the U.S. Navy. He married
Betty Whittemore on Dec. 28, 1946, in Socorro, N.M. He worked for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and Boone Publications. He retired from McCarty-Hull as a salesman. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Lubbock Home & Pigeon Club.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ken of Lubbock and Dennis of Wilmington, N.C.; two daughters, Claudia Lueb and Judy Brunner, both of Lubbock; his mother, Verna Stensland of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Jim Chisum of Albuquerque; two sisters, Wanda Waldrip of Artesia, N.M., and Sue Rose of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Billie Ruth Holt

She died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Breckenridge. She married
Terry Holt on March 22, 1948, in Paducah. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sherry Autry of Snyder and Kerry Holt of Otis, La.; a son, Terry E. Holt of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Floyd C. Reeves of Temple; and five grandchildren.
Charles Willis

He was born in Smyer and attended Smyer High School. He also attended South Plains College in Levelland.

Bettie Johnson on Dec. 28, 1954, in Smyer Baptist Church. He had been a farmer in Gaines County and also was employed by Mobile Pipeline, from which he retired. He was a deacon in the church. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Annette Robinson of Fort Worth and Cheryl Bell of Amarillo; his parents, Rex and Madge Willis of Lubbock; a sister, Jane Phillips of Lubbock; a brother, Joe Willis of Lubbock; three grandsons; and two granddaughters.

Anselmo Alcocer Jr.

He was born Oct. 1, 1954, in Tulia. He moved to Dimmitt from Nazareth in 1987. He graduated from Hart High School in 1974. He was a Catholic and agriculture laborer.
Survivors include his parents, Pete and Florinda Barretero of Hart; two sisters, Concepcion Lara of Morehead, Minn., and Julia Perez of Amarillo.
Carl Schlenker
FRIONA - Services for Carl Reeve Schlenker, 80, of Friona will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Union Congregational Church with burial in Friona cemetery under direction of Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home.
Schlenker died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Hereford Care Center in Hereford.
He was born March 24, 1918, in Parmer County. He married
Velma Schueler on Dec. 14, 1946, in the Rhea Community. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Friona. He was a lifetime resident of Parmer County. He farmed in the Rhea Community. He served on the Parmer County Community Hospital Board and the Prairie Acres Nursing Home Board for many years. He was a former president of the Plains Gas Users Association. He was named Outstanding Farmer in 1960 by the Parmer County Soil Conservation District. He was a former director of the Friona Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Noel Schlenker of Anaco, Venezuela, and Ira Floyd Schlenker of Friona; two daughters, Connie Lynn Johnson of Friona and Carleen Kay Sims of Lubbock; two sisters, Sarah Dean of Friona and Amelia Rankin of Claremont, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Dorris Smith

She died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, in an Abilene hospital.
She was born in Chicago, Ill. She moved to Abilene from Lubbock in 1971. She was a retired teacher. She was active in the theater in Lubbock. She was a founding member of the Abilene Community Theater and Abilene Repertory Theater. She was a member of the Abilene Women's Club, Beta Sigma Phi and Alpha Psi Omega. She was a member of First Central Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Christian and Terry C., both of Dallas; a daughter, Sandra S. Meng of Snellville, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

She was born Feb. 21, 1925, at Duncan, Okla. She married
Leo Clark. He died Jan. 25, 1993. She moved to Littlefield from Sacramento, Calif., after her husband's retirement. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sisters, Jerry Smith of Sudan and Doris Ratliff of Littlefield; and a brother, Jimmy Don Ratliff of Littlefield.
