Richard Garner Jones
A year ago, on Sept. 4, 2007, Richard Garner Jones passed away.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1928, in Vernon, to Garner and Beulah Jones. He graduated from High School in Vernon. He served in the Air Force and in the Air Force Reserves. He attended Rice University in Houston and later received his PH.D. in Psychology from Texas Tech University. He developed his practice in Houston.
The particulars of his life were vast and varied and his life was not ordinary, but then neither was he. He experienced a lot and he grew a lot. He lived in the moment and strove to fulfill his beliefs and values. He dealt with the challenges and obstacles of living with Parkinson's disease for 22+ years. He was stubborn and hardheaded and did not let his illness stop his life. He had so many awesome people come in and out of his life. These people helped define who he became. He was an old soul who had much to share. He felt he had lived a good life. When the time of his passing grew near he was ready to go.
Remembering our father include Susan "Le" Walker of Houston, Cindy Jones Geiger and husband Ty of Califon, N.J., Kevin Jones and wife Donna Suggs of Durango, Colo.; and his step-children, Belinda Gaydon and husband Allen of Lubbock, Les Beaty of Lubbock, Cindy Lou Beaty Scott of Georgetown, and Raymond Allen Beaty of Georgetown. He was also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua Walker, Jonathan Walker, and Jennifer Walker; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his friend and former wife, Iris Wade, and many friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Tom Jones; his son, Garner Augustus Jones; and his wife, Anne Beaty Jones.
Joseph H. Huffman
Joseph H. Huffman, 74, of Plainview passed away on Friday, September 12, 2008 in Plainview. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Gerald Boerger officiating. Burial will follow in Silverton cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
Mr. Huffman was born November 9, 1933 in Lockney to Charles Herman and Helen Walker Huffman. Mr. Huffman farmed in Floyd and Hale County. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Tulia.
Survivors include two daughters, Valerie Shultz and husband James of Crowell, and Veronica Baca and husband Frank of Lubbock; one son, Ronnie Huffman and wife Vicky of Lockney; his companion, Evelyn Inman of Plainview; one brother, Charles Huffman of Lockney; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, September 15, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Rita Faye Homesley
Rita Faye Homesley, 80, of Lubbock passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008. Graveside services will take place 2 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Resthaven cemetery in Lubbock with Randall Holman officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Rita was born August 6, 1928 to George and Evelyn Paine in Kansas City, Mo. She grew up in St.Paul, Kan., and graduated from St. Frances High School. While competing in a beauty pageant, she met Eugene Homesley, whom she married
in 1954 in Parsons, Kan.
Rita was a very loving and kind wife, friend and mother. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Eugene Homesley of Lubbock; sons, Greg Homesley and wife Kim of Lubbock; Glenn Homesley of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, George Paine of Sun City, Ariz.; sister, Mary Johnson of Cedar Vale, Kan.; and three wonderful grandchildren.
Family has requested that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association, the Star Chapter, 3610 22nd St. Ste. 300, Lubbock, Tx 79410.
Ann Dugger
Services for Ann Dugger, 89, of Seminole will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Brownfield First Christian Church with Rev. Mike Click officiating and Rev. Ken Reeder assisting. Interment will follow in the Terry County Memorial cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Ann passed away on September 12, 2008 in Seminole. She was born on August 15, 1919 in Sydney, Texas to Walter and Sarah Elizabeth Trice. She graduated from Old Glory High School. She married
Bill Dugger on January 19, 1941 in Rochester, Texas. They moved to Brownfield in 1946. He preceded her in death in 2000. Ann worked for General Telephone Company in Brownfield as a Communications Consultant retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club (BPW), the Pioneer Association, and Brownfield First Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and a daughter, Kara Janelle Dugger in 1945.
Ann is survived by her son, Gary Dugger and wife Carman of Seminole; four grandchildren, Michael Chad Dugger and wife Adonica of Shallowater; Blake Dugger of Winter Park, Colo.; Morgan Dugger of Seminole; and Kevin Fenner and wife Deandra of Abilene; three great-grandchildren, Ann Elizabeth Dugger, Ryan Dugger, and Christien Fenner; and her sister, Alene Schmidt and husband Milton of Austin. Ann will be in state on Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Eva Casanova Mosqueda
Funeral services for Eva Casanova Mosqueda, 81, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at Ministerios Nueva Vida with Rev. Jesus Cisneros officiating. Evening service will be 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at Ministerios Nueva Vida. Burial will be at Crosbyton cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
Mrs. Mosqueda passed away on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 at Mi Casita Nursing Home. She was born on Oct. 26, 1926 in Runge. She married
Gonzalo A. Mosqueda on March 18, 1943 in Karnes City. Mrs. Mosqueda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gonzalo A. Mosqueda; two sons, Antonio and Jimmy Mosqueda; two daughters, Juanita Medina and Frances Salazar.
Survivors include her daughters, Amelia Vigil, Monica Salinas, Maria Sanchez, Mary Ann Rodriguez, Sofia Silvas, Adela Cineros, Josie Vargas; one son, Gonzalo Mosqueda Jr.; two grandsons she raised as her own, Jimmy Salazar and Joe Manuel Salazar; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at Ministerios Nueva Vida.
Jerriene Riley
Jerriene Riley, 90, of Lubbock passed away September 12, 2008. She was born May 2, 1918 to the late Stephen Milton and Effie Wharton in Roosevelt County, N.M. She graduated from Littlefield High School and moved to Lubbock in 1936 to attend Texas Tech where she graduated in 1940.
Jerriene married
Hershel Riley in 1941 in Needmore, and he preceded her in death in 1965.
She worked for Frank Boone Publication and retired in 1981. Jerriene was also a member of First Baptist Church of Lubbock.
Jerriene was preceded in death by brothers, Olan and Sonny Wharton; and sisters, Ina Bell Bush and Mildred Wharton. Survivors include four children, Emily Phenix and husband Lee of Ransom Canyon; Sue Bridges and husband Johnny of Pensacola, Fla.; Jerry Riley of Lubbock; and Carol Wilkins and husband Carlton of Tokio, Texas; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Marjorie Wharton of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Martha Wharton of Lubbock; and numerous other family members.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 at Sanders Memorial Chapel with Reverend John Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 until 5 p.m.

Bill J. Rousseau
Bill J. Rousseau, 78, of Tulia passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 in Amarillo. Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 at Tulia Christian Fellowship with Rev. Rusty Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Bill was born on June 8, 1930 in Lakeview to Charlie and Vera Rousseau. They moved to Tulia when Bill was young and he attended schools there. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved to fly and bought his first airplane when he was 16 years old. He farmed for several years, but because of his love of flying, he became a Crop Duster Pilot. He did aerial spraying until the early 1980s. He also raised cattle and was a land trader among many other things. He was a very loving dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lubbock for several years and before that, he was a member of the Trinity Fellowship.
Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Neta Jean Rousseau; his parents, Charlie and Vera Rousseau; one brother, Buddy Rousseau; and baby sister, Naomi Rousseau.
Survivors include three daughters, Patsy Carter and husband Bob of Lubbock; June McHugh and husband Dennis of Amarillo; Sherry Ollinger and husband Duane of Ransom Canyon; one son, Bill Rousseau and wife Lauri of Tulia; two sisters, Flossie Payne and Nelda Elliff, both of Tulia; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to B.S.A. Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, Tx 79105.
Tommie H. Wages
Services for Tommie H. Wages, 66, of Abernathy will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 in the Abernathy First Baptist Church under the direction of Abell Funeral Home.
The Wages family will gather at Abell Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 until 5 p.m.
Mr. Wages died Thursday, September 11, 2008. He was born November 7, 1941 in Lubbock and married
Bobbye Joan Richards on June 14, 1963 in Lubbock. He had resided in Abernathy since 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbye; two children, Cody and wife Shilla, and Leigh Ann Wages; four grandchildren, Whitney, Paden, Garrett, and Erin; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; two sisters, Sue Faulkner and Margaret Ann Rieken; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn McElya.
George R. Williamson
George R. Williamson, 83, of Arlington, formerly of Pottsville, Ark. died Thursday, September 11, 2008 at his son's home in Arlington. The son of Joe and Mae Simpson Williamson, he was born November 27, 1924 in Pottsville. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. After his military service, George moved to Lubbock, where he was employed and retired as a Captain with the Lubbock Fire Department. After his retirement he returned to Russellville, Ark. until the summer of 2001, where he then moved to Arlington. He was a member of the DAV and Mars Hill Presbyterian Church on Crow Mountain. His favorite past time was playing golf. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lorene; his parents; and three sisters.
He is survived by three sons, Roger Williamson and wife Ella of Irving; Derrall Williamson and wife Donna of Arlington; Doug Williamson and wife Karen of Doniphan, Mo.; four grandchildren, Derrall Williamson, Jr. and wife Tabitha of Fort Worth; Jessica Williamson of Lemoore, Calif.; Daniel Williamson of Naylor, Mo.; Amber Williamson of Naylor, Mo.; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Burial will be at Bowden cemetery in Pottsville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville, Ark. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a Fireman's Fund of your choice.
Allie Tyler Bolch
Allie Tyler Bolch, 98, of Pampa passed away Sept. 12, 2008, in Lubbock. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Bolch was born on July 8, 1910 in Concho County to A. R. and Ruth Tyler. She graduated from O'Donnell High School in 1929 and attended Hardin-Simmons College in Abilene. She married
C. L. Bolch on Dec. 21, 1933. Allie was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was an accomplished seamstress and homemaker. Allie's favorite things were baking, being active in church, and spending time with her dear family and friends. Allie's relationship to God and her Savior, Jesus Christ, was and is evident in every relationship during her earthly life. She will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, W. J. "Mutt" Tyler and Oscar Tyler; a sister, Betty Frazier; a grandson, Zachary Lias; and two nephews, Charles Keith and Jerry Tyler.
Survivors include a son, Travis Bolch and wife Norma of Pampa; two daughters, Bettie Edwards and husband Gerald of El Centro, Calif.; and Sunshine Lias and husband Dayre of Germantown, Tenn.; brother, Charles C. Tyler and wife Louise of Meadow; sister, Wanda Greenfield and husband Keller of Richardson; two grandsons, Gary Bolch and wife Sherry of Pampa, and David Wade Bolch and wife Kambra of Dripping Springs; granddaughter, Allie Sue Willits and husband Josh of Point Mugu, Calif.; four great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; five nephews, Jimmy, Larry, Donnie, and Mitchell Tyler, and Tyler Greenfield; and five nieces, Nancy Cooper, Charlcey Dickson, Suzanne Tsatsoulas, Carolyn Agapos, and Denise Dorman.
