Rosary for Adrian Diaz, 20, of Lubbock will be at 7 p.m. today and Wednesday in Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with deacon Alfredo Jaime officiating.
Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens cemetery.
Diaz died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999.
He was born Nov. 4, 1978, in Lubbock. He attended Lubbock High School, where he played baseball and softball.
Survivors include his parents, Juan and Margie Bustillos Diaz of Lubbock; three brothers, Ronnie Diaz, John Diaz and Paul Diaz, all of Lubbock; his fiance, Thelma Jauez of Lubbock; a son, Christian Jauez Diaz of Lubbock; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Louisa Bustillos of Lubbock.
Alma Pierce
'Services for Alma Pierce, 84, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bowman Chapel of First United Methodist Church with burial in the City of Lubbock cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 21, 1914, in Ralls. She graduated from Brownfield High School and attended Texas Tech. She married
Roger Q. Pierce Jr. on June 13, 1934, in Lubbock. He died Feb. 9, 1964. She was a homemaker and a sales clerk at Dunlap's Department Store for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and later attended Lubbock Bible Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Janis Wilson of Lubbock and Joane James of Houston; a son, Roger of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
H.L. McGaugh
PLAINVIEW - Services for H.L. "Shorty" McGaugh, 76, of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Kevin Igo, elder of Ninth and Columbia Street Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
McGaugh died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in Covenant Hospital in Plainview.
He was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Plainview. He married
Betty Jean Lyde on May 12, 1945, in Clovis, N.M. He farmed until 1970, and he moved to Plainview and worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rhonda Harrison of West Columbia; two sons, Rickey of Lubbock and Reggy of Montgomery; three brothers, Melvin of Ralls and J.R. and J.D., both of Waldron, Ark.; two sisters, Ruth Callahan of Austin and Louise Poppell of Augusta, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
Allie Loveless
LOVINGTON, N.M. - Services for Allie Elizabeth Loveless, 91, of Lovington will be at 2 p.m. today in Ropesville Church of the Nazarene in Ropesville with the Rev. David Powers, pastor of the Nazarene Church in Laurel, Miss., officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock under direction of Smith-Rogers Funeral Home of Lovington.
She died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in Lovington Good Samaritan Center.
She was born Jan. 13, 1908, in Erick, Okla. She married
Clyde Loveless in 1924, in Byars, Okla. He died in December 1980. She moved to Lovington from Ropesville in 1991. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Ropesville. She retired from the Ropesville school system.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne White of Wanette, Okla.; a sister, Johnnie Lee Blakley of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Eulalia Gallegos

She was born April 5, 1918, in Puerto De Luna, N.M. She married
Bonifacio Gallegos on June 1, 1935, in Santa Rosa, N.M. He died Aug. 4, 1986. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lubbock. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include seven sons, Ernesto, Guadalupe, Orlando, Ramon, Jesus and Ricardo, all of Lubbock, and Armando of Crane; six daughters, Sulema Rendon, Felicita Burrola, Mary Silvas and Elvia Gallegos, all of Lubbock, Dorothy Consuelo Gallegos of Dallas and Nina Tarin of Crane; a brother, Federico Lopez of Dallas; three sisters, Dolores Lopez of California, Corina Montoya of Lubbock and Amelia Vasquez of Kennedy; 35 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Dwight Sanders
Services for Dwight L. Sanders, 73, of El Paso will be at 10 a.m. Friday at W.W. Rix Chapel.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
He died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Columbia Medical Center-East in El Paso.
Sanders was born March 25, 1925, in Littlefield. He married
Jackie Pieratt on Jan. 5, 1948, in Amarillo. She died Feb. 26, 1996. He had been a resident of Lubbock since 1958. He worked for Furr's for 35 years, before retiring in 1987. He was a veteran of the 4th Marine Division in World War II having served in the Saipan, Marshall Island, Tinan and Iwo Jima campaigns. He was a past member of the Hub City Wheels.
Survivors include two sons, Larry D. of Falls Church, Va., and Sandy L. of El Paso; a sister, Juanita Reneau of Waco; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home today.
Rayford Fowler
BROWNFIELD - Memorial services for Rayford Fowler, 86, of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church in Brownfield with the Rev. Beverly Titus, minister, officiating.
Fowler died Dec. 29, 1998, in Monroe, La.
He was born Aug. 19, 1912, in Wheeling, Winn Parish, La. He married
Bertie Mae McLaren on April 14, 1934. They worked in the churches. He graduated from Atlanta High School, and he farmed and worked with the reforestation program of Brown Paper Co. and Carey Salt Co. He began working with Columbian Carbon Co. in 1943. He was transferred to Seagraves in 1945, and he retired as superintendent of Plant 64 in 1977.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brownfield, Masonic Lodge in Seagraves, South Plains Iris Society, Antique Clock Collectors in Lubbock, Red Raider Club, Panhandle-Plains Historical Society, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He was a charter member of the Scottish Rite in Lubbock and Texas Tech Dads Association. He served 12 years on the Seagraves Independent School District Board, and he was chairman of the board of Stewards and Administrative Board at the church in Seagraves.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Annette Nall of Canyon, Sammie Saulsbury of Monroe, La., Sarah Bettinger of Lakewood, Colo.; a son, John of Aiken, S.C.; and five grandchildren.

Bruce Pritchett
LOVINGTON, N.M. - Services for Bruce "Jack" Pritchett, 92, of Humble City, N.M., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harry Pittam officiating.
Burial will be in Prairie Haven cemetery in Hobbs.
Pritchett died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in Seminole Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1906, in Mitchell County. He was a member of the Methodist church. He was a Mason, and he was a past president of the Farm Bureau. He received the Soldier's Medal for Bravery during World War II.
Survivors include two brothers, Billy Sam of Lovington and Monroe P. of Plano; and a sister, Mary Clyde Paquin of Seminole.
John Burkeholder
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Services for John H. Burkeholder, 89, of Columbia, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Burkeholder died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in Boone Hospital Center.
He was born April 27, 1909, in Spickard, Mo. He married
Bernice Slavin on May 11, 1935, in Unionville. He attended school in Trenton, Mo., and received a bachelor's degree in agriculture. He received a master's degree in rural sociology from the University of Missouri. He served as a county agent and later as a state youth specialist at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a member of Epsilon Sigma Phi, Gamma Sigma Delta, Columbia Kiwanis Club, Men's Garden Club, AARP and Retired Professors from the College of Agriculture. He was named professor emeritus of extension education after retiring. He received Life Membership and Friend of IFYE Awards. A son, Dr. James N. Burkeholder of Lubbock preceded him in death. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife; a grandson, James N. Burkeholder Jr. of Denver, Colo.; and two granddaughters, Susanne Burkeholder of Houston and Allison McGough of Wichita Falls.

Lessie Smith

Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery under direction of White Funeral Home of Tahoka.
She died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in Lakeridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 11, 1905, in Fannin County. She moved to Lynn County in 1922. She married
Oris Smith on Oct. 22, 1922, in Memphis. He died Sept. 4, 1981. She owned Lessie Smith Doll Hospital from 1968 to 1996. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church. A daughter, Jackie Sherman, and two sons, Douglas Smith and Harley Smith, preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Willetta "Sis" Blevins of New Home; two brothers, Willard Beaty of Santa Maria, Calif., and Loyd Beaty of Muleshoe; two sisters, Irene Schriner of Billings, Mont., and Lila Mae Cadman of Santa Barbara, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Lirria Hensley
Memorial services for Lirria June Y. Hensley, 93, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today in the Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kim E. Clowe, minister of music First Christian Church, officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. James Woodworth.

She died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in the Slaton Care Center.
She was born Oct. 24, 1905, in Victoria. She married
Guy Henry Hensley on April 25, 1929, in Victoria. He died on July 14, 1971. She moved to Lubbock in 1971. She was a member of the Eastern Star, 49's Bridge Club, Queen & Kings Bridge Club, and the Stitch & Chatter Club. She joined the First Christian Church of Lubbock in 1972 and was a member of the Harvester's Sunday School Class, Keenagers, and the Goldtones.
Survivors include two sons, Sherwood of Baytown and Mike of Lubbock; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
