He died Thursday, May 6, 1999, in Lubbock.
He was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Callahan, Colo., and married
O'Dell Hice. She died in 1994. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a self employed truck driver.
Survivors include two half brothers; a half sister; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Maria Valles
PLAINVIEW - Rosary for Maria Trinidad Valles, 75, of Plainview will be at 7 p.m. today in Calvillo, Bartley & Silva Funeral Home in Plainview.

She died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born Oct. 6, 1923, in Matamoros, Mexico. She married
Jose Valles on Dec. 17, 1945, in Rio Grande.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Johnny Joe, Eligio and Hector, all of Plainview; two daughters, Carmen Perez of Plainview and Rosa Linda Aguirre of Mead, Kan.; and 19 grandchildren.
Faye Pullen
Services for Faye Olene "Sadie" Pullen, 90, of Lubbock will be at 4 p.m. today in Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel with the Rev. Joe Lee officiating.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery.

She was born Feb. 5, 1909, in Conroe. She married
Delwin E. "Jack" Reynolds on Jan. 25, 1932. He died in 1946. She later married
L.B. Pullen on Nov. 18, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. He died in 1977. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist. A son, Stanley Reynolds, and a daughter, Carol Ann Reynolds, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Bridges of Lubbock; a brother, L.C. Houchin of Lubbock; a sister, Billie Martin of Levelland; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
Willie Mae Lynch

She died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in Integrated Health Services of Plainview.
She was born Dec. 14, 1900, in Hennepin, Okla. He married
Berry Noble Lynch on May 29, 1920, in Plainview. He died in May 21, 1989. She moved to Plainview from Oklahoma in 1907. She graduated from Plainview High School and attended Watson Business College. She was a nurse at Plainview hospitals. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Tye Pat of Fort Davis; two brothers, J.M. Tye of Lockney and Ben Tye of Kress; a sister, Cleda Byars of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
John Thomas
SNYDER - Services for John Howard Thomas, 78, of Snyder will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Nan Swenson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens under direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Thomas died Monday, March 1, 1999, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 6, 1920, in Waukesha, Wis. He married
Evelyn LaRose on May 4, 1946, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He received a bachelor's degree from Purdue University in 1942. He was an engineer for Trans World Airlines. He worked for Westinghouse Electric for 15 years, and he was a co-owner of Thomas-Stanfield Chrysler in Snyder from 1965 to 1978. He was a past president of Snyder Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. He served on the City Council from 1967 to 1971. He was past president of the Goldcoaters, and he was a member of the Airport Board, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the York and Scottish Rite and Suez Temple. He served as chairman of the Scurry County Republican Party.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jonlyn Larose Stahl of Pleasant Hope, Mo.; a brother, Donald of Oconomowoc, Wis.; and three grandchildren.
Bobby James
SNYDER - Services for Bobby Gerald James, 66, of Ruidoso, N.M., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with burial in Hermleigh cemetery.
James died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Sept. 24, 1932, in Southland. He graduated from Snyder High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, UN Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He was a past master of the Hermleigh Masonic Lodge, and he farmed for many years in Hermleigh Community. He was a district superintendent for Mesa Pipeline Co. until retiring in 1994. He married
Pat Davidson on Sept. 22, 1956, in Hermleigh.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald of Rotan and Jimmy Pat of McKinney; and four grandchildren.

Elva Wren

She died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at her residence.
She was born in Stonewall County. She was a World War II Army veteran and worked as a nurse at Stonewall Memorial Hospital in Aspermont. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Meyer of New Braunfels and Margaret Edwards of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Nadine Boyles of Aspermont and Margaret Suter of Old Glory; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Tony Garcia. She graduated from Springlake-Earth High School in 1981. She attended Texas Tech University and received a computer analyst degree. She worked for MHMR, and she was a nursing assistant at the Lubbock State School.
Survivors include her parents, Jesus and Manuela Compean of Lubbock; and a brother, John Compean of Lubbock.
Lucile Windwehen-States
Graveside services for Lucile Boone Windwehen-States, 85, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Old Plainview cemetery & Memorial Park. Officiating will be the Rev. Charles Johnson, pastor of Second Baptist Church.

She died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.
She was born April 4, 1913, in Hazel Hill, Mo. She moved to Lubbock in 1974 from Littlefield. She graduated from Plainview High School and attended Wayland Baptist University. She had been a member of Second Baptist Church since 1976. She worked as a Dental Assistant and retired as the recovery room nurse from South Park Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Joni Lynch of Lubbock and Joy Rose of McCalla, Ala.; one sister, Lena Stewart of Lubbock; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be made to Meals on Wheels or Second Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. 7 p.m. today at Sanders Funeral Home.

Johnson died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, in Walls Regional Hospital.
He was born Jan. 5, 1919, in Talco. He was a service manager for Ford and Chrysler motors until retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Mae Johnson; a son, Carl Jr. of Abernathy; a brother, Donald of Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Maureen Sugart of Odell, Dean McKnight of Missouri and Loretta Gambell of Silverton; four stepchildren, Donna Webb of Lone Grove, Teresa Thompson of Joshua, Melinda Parrish of Cleburne and Michael Uptergrove of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and a great-step grandchild.

Survivors include a son, Rex of Houma, La.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
