Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in River Road Fellowship Church with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Tony was the baby boy born to LeRoy and Faye Roberts on July 24, 1958. He was quickly whisked home to two older sisters, Tanja and Leann, eagerly waiting to boss and mother him for the rest of his life. As Tony grew, so did the huge but natural talent of a rhythm to the drums. The only other beat to catch Tony's rhythm was the love of his life, Lori Stuart. They married
Nov. 4, 1976, and quickly began to march to their own drumbeat. Tony and Lori were touched by heaven with three beautiful children, Tina, Nina and Jeff. The family, being complete, began to embark on their journey through life together with summers on the lake, winters being pulled behind a truck on a homemade sled, holidays surrounded by extended family, and Tony always being the center of each part.
"Muncle" Tony taught countless friends and family how to water ski, plumb, paint, dry wall, fix cars and how to laugh with everything in you. He also served in the National Guard and held a journeyman's plumbing license.
God touched Tony's life again by giving him six grandbabies, who called him "Pawpee" and idolized his every move and word. During Tony's last days, he found the true meaning of Philippians 1:10 by coming full circle in life to realize what was important and most valued ... faith, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Roberts, in 2007.
Survivors include his soul mate, Lori; two daughters, Tina Hoffman and husband Jeremy and Nina Parvin and husband Kevin; a son, Jeff Roberts; six precious grandbabies, Bailey and Tony Hoffman, Keeven, Sydnee, Jordyn and Brilee Parvin. He also leaves behind his momma, Faye Roberts; and his two sisters, Tanja Good and Leann Jennings. He will also be missed by countless nieces and many "favorite" nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Prayer Garden, River Road Fellowship, 503 E. Willow Creek Drive, Amarillo, TX 79108; or Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter St., Suite 404, Amarillo, TX 79106.
