Uta Evlan Wyatt Barnes
Uta Evlan Wyatt Barnes was born Dec. 23, 1920 to Jim and Nettie Wyatt in Longworth, TX. Uta married
Jack Barnes July 3, 1945. They fell in love before Jack Barnes was sent overseas to fight in WW2. She waited for him to come home to her, and when he did, they married
as soon as possible. Uta and Jack were blessed with a marriage made in heaven. Uta was the love of Jack's life and will continue to be until they are together again.
Uta was a gifted seamstress and clothes designer; there was nothing she couldn't make. She loved gardening and cooking, and if you've ever been blessed enough to have Jack cook for you then you've tasted Uta's cooking. She taught him everything he knows about cooking.
Uta and Jack designed and built their home in Roswell, New Mexico. She often said that it was one of the best times of her life, to get to see something they both designed come to life.
But her greatest gift was the love she shared with her husband. Theirs is a cherished relationship on both their parts, and it was a gift they shared with family and close friends. To know them together was to know true and everlasting love. The only love greater was the love our Lord shares with all of us.
