Darrell Gene Bailey
Darrell Gene Bailey, lifelong resident of Clovis, was born on May 23, 1937 in Clovis, N.M. to Foy and Grace Bailey.
Left to cherish memories are his wife of 49 years, Jeanie Bailey of Clovis; father, Foy Bailey; daughters, Kandie Bailey of Lubbock and Tammy and Shane Allen of Amarillo; and sister and spouse, Virginia and Thomas Rhodes of Amarillo. Grandchildren left to cherish loving memories are Aaron Burch, Amber Burch and Alisha Burch Harrist, all of Lubbock, and Callie Harris and Cory Harris, of Amarillo. Great-grandchildren include Addison and Cason Harrist of Lubbock. Darrell will also be missed my numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at 16th & Pile Church of Christ in Clovis. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.

Joan Seal
Joan Seal, 75, of Longview and formerly of Lubbock, passed away on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, in Longview.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today in Resthaven Memorial Park, with Pastor Kirk Taylor officiating. Please join us in celebrating Joan's life by visiting her memorial at www.mem.com.
Joan was born on April 29, 1934 to the late William Washington and Effie Rhoda (Tice) Hill in Boggy Depot, Okla.
She is survived by two children, Michael Seal of Lubbock and Phyllis Pusser of Longview; four grandchildren, Jonathon Steele, Jeff Seal, Matthew Steele and Kelly Seal-Nyman; and three great-grandchildren.

Donald Edwards Raymond
Donald Edwards Raymond passed away March 24, 2009. Donald was born in Lubbock, May 16, 1952 to Richard and Kathryn Raymond. He served in the United States Army. He was a talented craftsman in designing and making custom knives. He also farmed for several years in west Texas. He is survived by his mother, Kathryn C. Raymond of Hale Center; two brothers, Larry Dean Raymond of Ennis, William Wayne and Ruth Raymond of Calif.; and his sister, Kathy Ann and Shane Blount of Hale Center. Don is also survived by one son, Michael J. and wife Stephanie Raymond of Lubbock; and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Norris Raymond.
The visitation is Friday, March 27, 2009, from 6 to 7 p.m., at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral service for Donald will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Dr. Carrol Green will officiate. The interment will follow at Green Memorial cemetery in Wilson TX.
Belinda Lopez Elizondo
Belinda Lopez Elizondo was born in Sterling City, Texas on Aug. 3, 1949. She went to her final resting place on March 25, 2009. Services will be 1 p.m. today, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Andres Mendoza officiating.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Gaitan Moreno; father, Mauricio Lopez, Sr.; sisters, Soila Lopez, Rosa Lopez Rey; and brother, Mauricio Lopez, Jr.
She is survived by her step-father, Antonio Moreno; three daughters, Diana Lopez Ortega, Cynthia Lopez and Michelle Flores Chavez, all of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; six brothers, Benito Lopez, Manuel Lopez and Eddie Gamez, all of Lubbock, Danny Lopez, Victor Lopez, and Mauricio Lopez, of San Angelo; seven sisters, Josie Cassity of Lubbock, Nora Sevier, Delia Costilla, Corina Robles, Rosalinda Martinez, Margie Tellez and Rita Grafton, all of San Angelo.
Pallbearers will be Jason Ortega, Manuel Lopez, Jr., Joe Lopez, Rene Garcia, Isaiah Muņoz and Aaron Gamez.
Belinda had many friends in West Texas and we thank them all for their prayers and comfort to her in her time of need.
Mabel Mayfield
Mabel Mayfield, 92, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Anson General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Pittman officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope cemetery directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 11, 1917, near Jewett, in Limestone County, Texas, to a pioneer family, Mabel was a daughter of Albert and Lillie (Reese) Story. She attended school in the Union Community and later attended Anson High School, where she met N.J. Mayfield. They married
Nov. 12, 1935, in Anson and lived in Jones County for all their married
life where they engaged in farming and ranching. N.J. passed away in September of 1973.
Mabel was a lifelong Baptist and a faithful member of Anson North Side Baptist Church. She loved sports and rarely ever missed watching the Cowboy's, Mavericks, the Aggies or Red Raiders. She loved going to Texas Stadium to watch the Cowboys.
Mabel is survived by three sons, Dwain Mayfield (and wife, Lynda), of Weatherford, Durwood Mayfield (and wife, Alleene) of Lubbock, Gilbert Mayfield (and wife, Juli) of Arlington; grandchildren, David Mayfield (and wife, Julie) of Dublin, Gary Mayfield (wife, Shelley and family of Wautaga, Jason Mayfield (wife, Pam and son Chase) of Saint Louis, Mo., Corey Mayfield (wife, Kim and daughter Riley) of Arlington, Charles Mayfield, currently stationed in Iraq, (sons Aaron and Mason), and Jennifer Gore and daughter, Brook of Lubbock.
Family visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2009 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Adams-Graham Funeral Home.

Winona Ward
Services for Winona Stephens (Barnett) Ward, 95, of Post, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ, 10th & Ave M in Post, officiated by Travis Sweet. Burial will follow in the Girard cemetery in Kent County at 2 p.m. under the oversight of Justice-Mason Funeral Home of Post.
Winona died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in her home. She was born Aug. 23, 1913, to Aggie and Lola Rue Stephens in Kent County. Winona married
Wallace F. Barnett on March 28, 1937 in Crosbyton, moving with him to Girard, Anton, Wolfforth, Fritch, Lubbock, and returning to Post for the remainder of her years. Wallace preceded her in death on December 4, 1973. Winona later married
Johnny Q. Ward on Dec. 17, 1981, until his death Nov. 5, 1989. Winona was a devout believer in Christ and often volunteered at the Golden Plains Care Center.
She is survived by her three sons, Hugh W. Barnett, of Ft. Worth, Herman M. Barnett of Mississippi, and J. Leon Barnett of Rosharon, Texas; five grandchildren, Clay Barnett and his wife Lisa of Elkhart, H. Gary Barnett of Bedford, Sandra L. Barnett of Euless, Johnny Barnett and Coby Clay Barnett; two great-grandsons, Kyle and Brad Barnett of Elkhart; and two sisters, Beth Evans and husband M.D. of Abernathy, and Othella Chandler of Dalhart.

Georgia Coleman Brewer
Georgia Coleman Brewer, 87, of Lubbock, passed away March 26, 2009. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. at Grand Court Retirement Home.
She was born Dec. 20, 1921, in Atlanta, Ga. She was a graduate of Girls H.S. in Atlanta, Ga., Mars Hill College, N.C., and the University of N.C. at Chapel Hill. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Lubbock, had worked with handicapped children and Meals-On-Wheels, and had served as the Executive Director of the West Texas Chapter of the American Lung Association.
Survivors include her son, Stephen A. Brewer of Lubbock; two sisters, Irmeth C. Richards of Atlanta, Ga. and Eugenia Palmer of Smyrna, Ga.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Susan Gayle Brewer; and her husband, Arthur M. Brewer, who passed away Jan. 18, 2005.
The family requests that contributions be made in Georgia's memory to Lubbock Meals-On-Wheels or the Volunteer Dept. at Lubbock State School.
Cosme ''CT'' Davila
Prayer Services for Cosme "CT" Davila will be 7 p.m. today, at El Buen Pastor, located at 1111 36th Street. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, in the same church, with Rev. Dan Davila officiating. Burial will be at City of Lubbock cemetery under the direction of Richard Calvillo and Calvillo Funeral Home staff.
Cosme passed away on Monday. He was born on Oct. 29, 1929, in Waring, Texas, to the late Ezekiel and Petra Davila. He married
Matilde Segura on Nov. 30, 1950, in Ballinger. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2001. He moved to Lubbock in 1958, coming from Kerrville. He worked many years as a butcher for Farm Pak. He loved sports and was an all around handy man. He was a Pentacostal.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Edwina Rodriguez, on Oct. 19, 1999.
Survivors include five sons, Jesse of Denver, Robert of Carlsbad, N.M., Ezekiel of Las Vegas, Nev., Jimmy and Danny, both of Lubbock; four daughters, Sandra Davila and Debbie Gutierrez, both of Lubbock, Daisy Emerson of Las Vegas, Nev., and Diana Trevino of Amarillo; 28 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Lori Bufe
Services for Lori Bufe, 28, of Lubbock, and formerly of Abernathy, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2009, in the Abernathy High School Auditorium with Steve Gauntt and David Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy.
Ms. Bufe succumbed to her battle with cancer Sunday, August 30, 2009, in Lubbock.
She was born February 18, 1981 in Plainview, to Harold and Linda (Cook) Bufe. The family lived in Panhandle and Hale Center before moving to Abernathy, where she graduated from Abernathy High School in 1999. She played basketball and was in FFA and showed livestock. She attended Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University and was a trainer for the LCU Men's Basketball Team. She pledged Kappa Phi Kappa and was employed as restaurant manager at Ruby Tequilas.
Lori is survived by her parents, Harold and Linda Bufe; a sister, Cheri Liess and her husband Jake; and a brother, Ryan Bufe and his wife Ashley all of Abernathy. She is also survived by her grandparents, Wilford and Faye Bufe of Hale Center, and Wayne and Charlotte Cook of Spokane, Wash.; two nieces, Taelor and Addison Liess, and Brock Bufe; one uncle, Howard Bufe of Dallas; and an aunt, Betty Williams of Ft. Worth.
The family will be receiving friends at their home.
