Harold Williams
SLATON - Graveside services for Harold Ebb "Jack" Williams, 92, of Midland will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano cemetery in Amarillo under direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Williams died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in Terrace Gardens Nursing Center in Midland.
He was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Heck Switch, Okla. He graduated from Heck Switch High School in 1924. He married
Caddie Towry on Nov. 19, 1927, and he farmed in Heck Switch until 1939, when he moved to White Deer. He worked with natural gas pipelines in White Deer. He retired in 1971, and he moved to Amarillo from Dumas in 1972. He moved to Slaton in 1977, and he moved to Midland in 1994. He was a 54-year member of the Scottish Rite of free masonry and SJUSA. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. A daughter, Betty Jean McLaughlin, died April 15, 1993.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold Dean of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Frankie M. Simmons of Midland; two sisters, Thelma Joplin of Clovis, N.M., and Mildred Roles of Georgetown; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorials to the Cerebral Palsy Center, 802 Ventura, Midland 79705, or to a favorite charity.
Isaac Lockhart
Services for Isaac Lockhart, 79, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. today in St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Solomon Fields officiating.
Burial will be in City of Lubbock cemetery under direction of Brock's South Plains Funeral Directors.
He died Friday, April 23, 1999.
He was born July 3, 1919. He worked at Plains Cooperative Oil Mill for several years until retiring. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church, where he served on the deacon board. He later moved to Paris, Texas, and married
Janie Lue Covington. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Thomas and Patsy Lockhart, both of Temple, and Donna Gray of Lubbock; a sister, Dorothy McGrew of Lubbock; six grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
Glen Tongate
SEMINOLE (Special) Services for Glen Perry Tongate, 79, of Seminole will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Seventh Street Church of Christ with Leo Copeland officiating.
Burial will be in Gaines County Memorial cemetery under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at Memorial Health Car Center of Seminole.
He was born May 27, 1920, in Brownwood. He was a lifelong resident of Texas, moving to Seminole in 1991. He married
Betty Charlene Renfro on Dec. 24, 1975, in Lovington, N.M. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a past president of the Texas Real Estate Board and a member of Fort Worth VFW. He was a member of Seventh Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Glen Perry Tongate Jr. of Arlington and Eddie Tongate of Louisville, Ky.; two stepsons, Melvin Scheller of Crandall and Gary Wayne Scheller of Bentonville, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Mindy Fleming of New Caney; two brothers, Scott Tongate of Bedford and Jack Tongate of Weatherford; a sister, Rilla Stewart of Houston; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Juanita Ratliff
Memorial services for Juanita Ratliff, 90, of Lubbock will be at 9:30 a.m. today in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Ted Dotts officiating.
Private burial services were held last week.
She died at her residence on Monday, April 19, 1999.
She was born in Wills Point on May 26, 1908, and she moved to West Texas in 1930. She was the first piano teacher in Levelland.
She married
Carl E. Ratliff in Waxahachie on Aug. 20, 1936. The couple moved to Lubbock in 1948. Her husband died Dec. 1, 1980.
She was a homemaker, a philanthropist, and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, the PEO, the Allegro Music Club, the West Texas Museum Association, Lubbock Symphony Guild, Zeta Tau Alpha and the Lubbock Club.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Ratliff and David Ratliff, both of Lubbock; a daughter, Suzanne Bryant, of Austin; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Juanita Ratliff Endowed Scholarship Fund at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, 79409.
Robert O'Dell
ANDREWS - Services for Robert L. O'Dell, 89, of Andrews will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Bob DuPont, pulpit minister of Andrews Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in Andrews Old cemetery.
O'Dell died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, in Northwest Regional Hospital in Corpus Christi.
He was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Cottonwood. He married
Edna McGary on Oct. 10, 1926, in Cottonwood. They moved to Andrews from California in 1951. He owned O'Dell Groceries, Bob's Used Furniture and Appliances and Bob's Place.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert D. of Irmo, S.C.; a daughter, Gayle Graham of Corpus Christi; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
L.D. Nichols Sr.
FRIONA - Services for L.D. "Nick" Nichols Sr., 88, of Friona will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Petty, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Annie E. Young cemetery in Shelluane, Ky. Services are under direction of Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona.
Nichols died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, in Parmer County Community Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1910, in Canada. He married
Eva Marie Parker on Feb. 1, 1973, in Dallas. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He moved to Friona from Alamogordo, N.M., in 1973. He was a member of the Friona Country Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A son, Lorenzo Dudley Jr., died in July 1998.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Betty June Manchak of California, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three stepsons, Billy Lee Parker of Amarillo, Jerry Parker of Canyon and Danny Parker of Porter.
Leebert Thomason
BROWNFIELD (Special) Services for Leebert Thomason, 71, of Gallup, N.M., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Pat Riley, Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Terry County Memorial cemetery in Brownfield under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
He died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was born Sept. 4, 1927, in Lahey. He married
Carol Bogart. He was raised and attended school in the Brownfield area. He was a resident of Denver City in the 1950s and 1960s and lived in Hobbs, N.M., in the 1970s where he was employed with Kerr-McKee Potash Mines. The past 35 years he was self-employed as a livestock trader in Gallup. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Thomason.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Eddy Thomason of Albuquerque, Calvin Thomason and Danny Thomason, both of Gallup and Tommy Thomason of Tempe, Ariz.; five daughters, Karen Weiss of Texas, Pauline Milton of Lovington, N.M., Shonna McDonald of Milwaukee, Wis., Rolanda Shelton of Phoenix, Ariz., and Johannah Thomason of Gallup; a brother, Alan Thomason of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Pauline Weeks of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Billie Stiles
Services for Billie Ruth Stiles, 69, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Paul Jantzen officiating.
Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
She died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center.
She was born in Floydada and was a graduate of Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech. She was a member of Trinity Church and had served as office manager of the Farm and Home Administration for over 31 years. She was a member of the Temprano Chapter of A.B.W.A.
She is survived by a sister, Winnell S. Smith of Arlington and several nieces and nephews.

Lucy Wiley
Services for Lucy Gene Wiley, 82, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today in Hodges Chapel of the First Christian Church with the Rev. Michael Passmore officiating.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
She died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Acworth. She moved to the Lubbock area in 1924. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1931. She attended Texas Tech and Kidd Key Woman's School in Sherman. She married
J. Kell Wiley in 1947 in Lubbock. She was a medical bookkeeper until retiring in 1993. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Harvesters Bible Class. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 5, 1993, and a son, Sammie Skinner, on Nov. 11, 1998.
Survivors include a son, Tom Wiley of Lubbock; a stepdaughter, Kaye Greer of Lubbock; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund.
Maria Jordan

She died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born Oct. 21, 1942, in Chihuahua, Mexico. She married
Raul Jordan Sr. in 1963.
She worked in the maintenance department at the post office for many years.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Church in Lovington.
Survivors include a daughter, Araceli Sanchez of Lovington; three sons, Jose Arturo Jordan, Jose Maria Jordan and Raul Jordan Jr., all of Lovington; six brothers, Frederico Dominguez and Manuel Dominguez, both of Hobbs, N.M., Raul Dominguez, Eladio Dominguez, Oscar Dominguez, and Francisco Dominguez, all of Lovington; a sister, Evangelina Jordan of Lovington; her mother, Francisca Dominguez; and seven grandchildren.
Dolores Montez

He was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico. He worked in construction and on farms. He married
Socorro Sanchez at Edenburg.
They lived in Pharr for several years before moving to Hereford. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church in Hereford.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Pablo Cabrera of Mexico; two daughters, Estela Cabrera of Pharr and Angelica Castillo of Hereford; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
