Kenneth Martin

THROCKMORTON - Services for Kenneth A. Martin, 72, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today in Merriman-Archer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eric Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Throckmorton cemetery.

Martin died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, in Highland Hospital in Lubbock.

He was born Dec. 13, 1926, in Throckmorton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He married Marilyn Simonds on Feb. 16, 1952, in Glendive, Mont. She died Aug. 25, 1984. He was a retired farmer and Baptist. He was a former resident of Lubbock, Throckmorton and Haskell. He worked for an exploration company for several years.

Survivors include a son, Keith of Lubbock; four daughters, Lessie Wilder and Roxanne Smith, both of Lubbock, Lynette Patterson of Richardson and Billie Neskorick of Cee Vee; his mother, Lessie Martin Moore of Hico; a sister, Vondell Rogers of Hico; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Maria Lopez

LITTLEFIELD - Rosary for Maria Martinez Lopez, 80, of Littlefield will be at 7 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the same church with the Rev. Patrick Maher officiating.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.

She died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield.

She was born May 10, 1918, at Karnes City. She married Cresencio Lopez in 1932 at Karnes City. She had lived in Littlefield since 1948. She was a homemaker and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and of the prayer group in the church.

Survivors include four sons, Carlos M. of Falfurrias, Florencio and George, both of Dimmitt, and Paul of Littlefield; two daughters, Eva Gonzalez of Woodrow and Estela Lopez of Amarillo; a brother, Florencio Martinez of San Antonio; two sisters, Maggie Rodriguez of Bovina and Carolina Franco of Brownfield; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Felipa Cantu

ANTON - Rosary for Felipa G. Cantu, 85, of Anton will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Anton.

Mass will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the same church with Rev. Nicholas Rendon, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Anton cemetery under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home.

She died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at Bender Terrace Nursing Home in Lubbock.

She was born May 1, 1913, in Monterrey, Mexico. She married Juan N. Cantu on Dec. 23, 1929, at Sinton. They moved to Anton in 1951 from Raymondville. She became a naturalized citizen on Nov. 18, 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Anton. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan N. Cantu, on Jan. 19, 1983.

Survivors include four sons, Francisco and Abel, both of Madera, Calif., Jesse E. of Hereford and Albert G. of Port Lavaca; four daughters, Maria C. Garcia of Anton, Pomposa C. Bravo of Madera, Calif., Teresa C. Guzman of Raymondville, and Janie Hermosillo of Fort Worth; two brothers, Conception Gamez Jr. of Dallas and Florinto Gamez of Monterrey, Mexico; a sister, Secundina Hernandez of Progresso; 37 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Dale Stoddard

ANDREWS - Graveside services for Dale Stoddard, 74, of Andrews will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hext cemetery in Hext with Tom Allen and Ralph King officiating.

Burial is under direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Stoddard died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in Midland Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Menard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Jessie Meixner on Aug. 19, 1950, in San Angelo. He was a pumper for Unocal for 38 years. They moved to Andrews from Lake Kickapoo in 1997. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Andrews.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, J.D. of Lawn and Mickey of Archer City; a daughter, Judy Allen of Big Spring; and seven grandchildren.

Stella Davidson

Services for Stella Davidson, 91, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today at the W.W. Rix Chapel with Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating.

Services are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

She died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at home.

She was born June 29, 1907, in Blossom. She married W.G. Davidson in Hugo, Okla., on Dec. 18, 1929. He died April 8, 1985.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Eikenberry of Lubbock; one son, Don Davidson of Lubbock; two brothers, Bill Walker of Shallowater and Harold Walker of Amarillo; two sisters, Nannie Smith of Deport and Alene Claypool of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Edith Ausbie

Services for Edith L. Ausbie, 68, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carter Chapel CME with Clarence Weatherspoon officiating.

Burial will be in City of Lubbock cemetery under direction of Ossie Curry Funeral Home.

She died Thursday, April 22, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born Aug. 23, 1930, in Sealy. She married Will B. Ausbie on Oct. 5, 1947, in Ladonna. She moved to Lubbock on Jan. 1, 1950. She served in many church activities.

She worked for Lubbock State School for 20 years before retiring.

Survivors include her husband; a sister, Thelma Ausbie of Wichita Falls; and a grandson.

Charles Headrick

Services for Charles Keith "Julio" Headrick, 39, of Lubbock will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Vandelia Church of Christ with Doug Hale officiating, and Jay Fuglaar assisting.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

He died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside.

He was born Nov. 9, 1959, in Lafayette, La., and graduated from Coronado High School in 1978. He was a painter with M&M; Painting for 18 years prior to working for L.H.R. Corporation for three years. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He married Teresa Walker on Aug. 17, 1991, in Lubbock. He had served on the board for Dixie Little League, and was a Lubbock resident most of his life.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Cole Walker Headrick of Lubbock; his father and stepmother, Prentiss and Melissa Headrick; his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Mike Wheeler; a brother, Mike Headrick of Lake City, Utah; a sister, Denise Sneed of Lubbock; two stepsisters, Jenny Benitez of Lubbock, and Leslie Seaman of Clifton, Colo.

The family suggests memorials the Cole Walker Headrick Trust Fund, c/o City Bank, 5211 Brownfield Highway, Lubbock, 79407, attn: Kim MacDonald; Hospice of Lubbock; or blood donations to the Texas Blood Institute.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.

Bruce Runyon

A prayer service for Bruce Runyon, 73, of Lubbock will be at 7 p.m. today in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Father Gene Driscoll officiating.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Santa Fe National cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M., under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in University Medical Center.

He was born March 15, 1925, in Los Angeles. He moved to Lubbock in 1937. He graduated from Lubbock High School and a vocational agriculture school. He married Frances Sanchez on March 10, 1947, in Las Vegas, N.M. He was a retired farmer and a sales representative for Gypsum Building Materials and Wholesale Hardware. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Nan Woolam of Lubbock and Judy Kelly of Lubbock; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggest memorials to the Catholic Family Services.

Anthony Perez

SEMINOLE (Special) Graveside services for Anthony Ray Perez, infant son of Gilbert and Rachel Perez of Seagraves, will be at 10 a.m. today at Seagraves cemetery with the Rev. Elijio Garza of Seminole, officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

He died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born Aug. 10, 1999, in Lubbock.

Survivors include his parents; and grandparents, Maggie Ruiz of Wichita, Kan., and Phillip and Elida Perez of Seagraves.

Rebecca Jones

PADUCAH (Special) Services for Rebecca Garvin Jones, 34, of Columbus, Miss., will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Roy C. Keith, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Cee Vee cemetery under direction of Seigler Funeral Home.

She died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999.

She was born Oct. 19, 1964, in Lubbock. She graduated from Paducah High School in 1983. She was a child care consultant for United Methodist Ministries in Columbus.

Survivors include her husband, David Jones of Columbus; two sons, Matt and Luke, both of Columbus; her parents, Phillip Garvin of Monticello, Ark., and Barbara Ivey Garvin of Lubbock; two brothers, Phillip Garvin Jr. of Monticello, Ark., and Scott Garvin of Lubbock.

Raul Barriga

LOVINGTON, N.M. (Special) Rosary for Raul Lune Barriga, 33, of Lovington will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Bethany Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be conducted in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Arrangements will be under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home.

He died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, in Hobbs, N.M.

He was born May 1, 1966, in Rosales, Chihuahua, Mexico. He lived in Lovington since 1997 where he worked in the oil field as a roustabout and sandblaster.

Survivors include his father and his wife, Isidro and Maria Barriga of Lovington; his mother, Genoveva Barriga of Chihuahua City, Mexico; two sisters, Blanca Estela Cano Luna and Angelica Maria Valdez, both of Chihuahua City; and a brother, Jorge Valdez Luna of Chihuahua City.
