Services for Freda Chauncey Gentry, 93, of Lubbock will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Broadway Church of Christ with Rodney Plunket officiating.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
She died Friday, August 13, 1999, at her residence.
She was born, June 3, 1906, in Eastland came with her family to Lubbock in 1916. She graduated from Lubbock High School. She married
Bruce E. Gentry on July 3, 1925, in Post. He died April 30, 1983. She was a resident of New Deal from 1941-83. She was a member of Broadway Church of Christ. She was active in the Pioneer Ladies Club, was Lioness and was Cub Scout Leader.
Survivors include, family members Bruce and Mary Gentry and Robert Gentry; a brother, John Chauncey; two sisters, Sarah McInturff and Kay Streetman all of Lubbock; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be in the Garden Room of Broadway Church of Christ from 1 p.m. to service time.

PLAINVIEW (Special) Services for Ronny Glynn Phillips, 51, of Plainview will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Church of the Nazarene with Shawn Fouts, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under direction of Lemons Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, July 24, 1999.
He was born Oct. 10, 1947, in Littlefield. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1966. He had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Plainview for 11 years and was retired. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his fiancee, Susan Tant of Plainview; a brother, Joseph of Dallas; two sisters, Karen Hutson of Dimmitt, and Debbie Crosby of Plainview; and his parents, Norman and Vera Phillips of Plainview.
The family suggests memorials to Church of the Nazarene.
Antonio Moreno Sr.
LAMESA - Services for Antonio Moreno Sr., 52, of Lamesa will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Guajardo Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be at Lamesa cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Home.
Moreno died Sunday, February 14, 1999, at Medical Arts Hospital.
He was born June 6, 1946, in Eagle Pass. He married
Anastasia Baltazar and worked as a farmer for 21 years.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Lucia Moreno; two brothers, Martin of Lamesa and Refugio of Lamesa; six sisters, Cruz Rodriguez, Lydia Gomez, Delia Samora, Marcella Cuellar, Irene Galindo and Sylvia Guerro; two sons, Antonio Jr. of Lamesa and Eusebio of Lubbock; a daughter, Janna Lucia Moreno of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.
Margie Ellis

She was born Aug. 20, 1921, in Emory. She married
Jackson P. Ellis on May 20, 1977, in Post. She was a seamstress and a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Nail, in 1974.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Jimmy of Clyde; three daughters, Renee Norwood of Dunn, Gina Rhodes of Snyder and Barbara Smith of Odessa; a sister, Gladys Skinner of DeSoto; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Ladelle Evans

She died Thursday, July 22, 1999.
She was born March 2, 1909, in Bloomburge. She attended school in Brice. She married
the Rev. Milton Odell Evans on Feb. 27, 1927, in Memphis, Texas. He died in May 1977. She moved to Brice where her husband was a farmer and a pastor. They moved to Shelleyton in 1943 where he was pastor at the First Baptist Church. They moved several more times, settling in Plainview where her husband became the associate pastor of First Baptist Church. She was involved in W.M.U. and G.A.'s.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Johnson of Plainview; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Gregorio Garcia
Rosary for Gregorio Baros Garcia, 86, of Lubbock will be at 7 p.m. today in White Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Michael O'Dwyer officiating.
Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens cemetery.
Garcia died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center.
He was born May 25, 1912, in Fort Sumner, N.M. He moved to Lubbock from Fort Sumner in 1927. He married
Lucy Carmona on Oct. 15, 1931, in Lubbock. He was a carpenter and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lubbock. Two daughters, Angie Mojica and Bonifacia Cruz, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Eliseo Garcia and Mike Aguilar, both of Lubbock, Gregorio Garcia Jr. of Irving and Alex Arredondo of Cedar Park; three daughters, Rebecca Sifuentes, Sandy Hernandez and Edna Davila, all of Lubbock; a sister, Petra "Tita" Jaramillo of Lubbock; 25 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Veda Woodard

T.O. Woodard who preceded her in death. She was a member of Bel Aire Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, J.T., Stean and Jerry, all of Hobbs, and Darrel of Colorado; two daughters, Lenora Stewart of Las Vegas, Nev., and Glenda Byram of Hobbs; a brother, John Ed Poindexter of Hereford; three sisters, Lorene Franklin of Snyder, Isora Stewart of Texas and Virginia Baker of Winters; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Grace Fischer
Services for Grace Francis Fischer, 103, of Lubbock will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Davis Price officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in New York City under the direction of Rest Lawn, Wilson's Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
She died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Lubbock Hospitality House.
She was born Jan. 13, 1896, in Lynn, Mass., and lived in New York City for many years. She married
Ernest B. Fischer Sr. on Aug. 10, 1918. He died Oct. 12, 1970. A son, Robert R. Fischer Sr., died on Feb. 28, 1999, in Lubbock.
She lived in Louisville, Ky., for 19 years before moving to Lubbock in 1991. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Fischer Jr. of Homer, N.Y.; a daughter, Dorothy Fischer of New York; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Covenant Presbyterian Church or to a children's home.
Carole Wolters
SAN ANTONIO - Shirley Carole Averett Wolters, 65, of San Antonio died Feb. 15, 1999.
She was born in Lubbock on Sept. 13, 1933. She was a member of Castle Hills First Baptist Church in San Antonio. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1951.
Survivors include her husband, Wilbur; daughters, Sharon R. and Karen K.; a son, Bradley C.; her mother, Edna Averett; a sister, Peggy Coker; a brother, Roland Averett; and two granddaughters.
Mabel Williams
HOBBS, N.M. - Graveside services for Mabel Williams, 87, of Hobbs will be at 3 p.m. today at Gaines County Memorial cemetery North with the Rev. David Moore of the First Assembly of God Church in Seminole officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Boyter Funeral Home in Seminole.
Williams died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, at Home Health Care Center in Hobbs.
She was born Dec. 2, 1911, in Montague County. She moved to Hobbs from Kermit in 1959. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, the Senior Citizens and a past member of the Moose Lodge. She was a homemaker.
She married
Leslie Williams on Jan. 10, 1931, in Wareka, Okla. He died in 1990. A daughter, Betty Bowling, died in 1970; a grandson, Randy Bowling, died in 1983; and a granddaughter, Drenda Scott, died in 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Earl of Seminole; a sister, Hazel Foshee of Bowie; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Henry McWilliams
ABILENE (Special) Services for Henry "Benny" McWilliams, 79, of Abilene will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Revs. David Verbeck and Mike Hill officiating.
Burial will be in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
He died Saturday, July 24, 1999, at his residence.
He was born in Dickens County, and moved to Abilene from Spur in 1954. He owned and operated Texas Refrigeration before retiring. He married
Aldaphyne Spraberry on Feb. 1, 1941, in Dickens County. He was a member of First Assembly of God and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; three sons, Charles of Houston, and Steve and Ben, both of Abilene; a daughter, Kay Fangohr of Temple; two brothers, Lawson of Spur and Raymond of Arkansas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
