HEREFORD - Services for Coleman Lloyd Wright, 85, of Hereford were at 10 a.m. Monday in Rose Chapel of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. H.W. Bartlett, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
Wright died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, in Hereford Care Center.
He was born June 14, 1913, in Colorado City. He married
Faye I. Myers in 1935, in Muleshoe. He was a postal worker.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dale of Hereford; two daughters, Gwenn Cui of Irving and Paula Edwards of Hereford; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Vera Dryden
SNYDER - Graveside services for Vera Beatrice Dryden, 90, of Snyder will be at 2 p.m. today in Hillside Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Marvin Applin, of Gentle Dove Ministries, officiating.
Burial will be under direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 4, 1908, in Denton County. She married
Griff Dryden, and he preceded her in death. A son, Don Arvin, died Jan. 2, 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Dryden of Snyder.
Irlene Shearer
HEREFORD - Graveside services for Irlene Shearer, 60, of Orange, Calif., will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Rest Lawn cemetery with the Rev. Paul McClung, a retired Baptist minister, officiating.
Burial will be under direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.
She died Feb. 2, 1999, at her residence.
She was born April 16, 1938, in Hereford. She attended Dawn and Hereford schools and West Texas State College. She worked for Sunkist in Los Angeles County. She married
John Bustamant. She married
Jack Shearer, and he preceded her in death. She was a clerk for Melodyland Church.
Survivors include her father, Walter R. Galley of Burnet; a daughter, Xan Serocki of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, Clifford H. Galley of Burnet; and two granddaughters.
Elva McFarland
FARWELL - Graveside services for Elva Louise McFarland, 93, of Farwell will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sunset Terrace cemetery with J.R. Collins officiating.
Burial will be under direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis, N.M.
She died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, in Clovis, N.M.
She was born Oct. 10, 1905, in Killeen. She married
M.L. "Lonnie" McFarland. He died in 1988. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, John of Farwell; three daughters, Yvonne Campbell of Ohio, Jean McBrayer of Wyoming and Gail Binford of New Braunfels; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Medina Children's Home of Medina.
Erik Zavala
TAHOKA - Services for Erik Rae Zavala, 18, of Tahoka will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of Christ in Tahoka with Ron Fant, of Church of Christ in Tahoka, officiating.
Burial will be in Nevels Memorial Cemtery under the direction of White Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, in Tahoka.
He was born May 26, 1981, in Lubbock. He graduated from Tahoka High School and was a lifetime resident of Tahoka. He was employed by West Telemarketing and attended Church of Christ in Tahoka.
Survivors include his father and mother, Edward Zavala and Virginia Stephens Zavala of Tahoka; his grandparents, Lupe and Carmen Zavala of Lubbock and Mrs. A.P. Stephens of Tahoka; and two brothers, Joel Shi Dotson of Portales, N.M., and Shi Dotson of Tahoka.
Macaria Davila
SLATON - Services for Macaria Gonzales Davila, 95, of Slaton were Wednesday at Englunds Chapel with the Rev. Reymundo Almaraz officiating.
Burial was in Englewood cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.
She died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.
She was born March 10, 1904, in Guanajuato, Mexico. She moved to Slaton from Shiro. She was a homemaker. She married
Jose Davila. He died in July 1965. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Charlie Davila on Feb. 14, 1994, and Martin G. Davila Sr. on May 13, 1996.
Survivors include five sons, Raymond Davila, Jessie Davila and Joe Davila, all of Slaton, and Louis Davila and Phillip Davila, both of Fresno, Calif.; six daughters, Angel Diaz, Jane Garza and Basilia Cruz, all of Slaton, Mary Riveria of Lubbock and Cruz Flores of Livingston; a brother, Francisco Gonzales of Fresno; and a sister, Tiofila Galan of Fresno; 68 grandchildren; and 149 great-grandchildren.
Inez Crump
PADUCAH - Graveside services for Lola Inez Crump, 80, of Paducah will be held 10 a.m. today at the Garden of Memories in Paducah with the Rev. Roy C. Keith, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Garden of Memories under direction of Seigler Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, July 27, 1999, at a Childress Hospital.
She was born Sept. 16, 1918, in Paducah. He graduated from Paducah High School and attended Texas Women's University in Denton. She began her school teaching career in Paducah and taught in Dimmitt and Littlefield before retiring. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include a sister-in-law; four nephews; and a niece.
The family suggests memorials to the Paducah cemetery Association or to First Christian Church.
G.B. Johnston Jr.
LOCKNEY - Services for G.B. Johnston Jr., 76, of Lockney will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Hawkins officiating and the Rev. Harold Abney, pastor, assisting.
Burial will be in Lockney cemetery under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Lockney.
He died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Lockney. He attended schools in Lone Star, Sterley and graduated from Lockney High School in 1939. He married
Naomi Huckabee on March 11, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Lockney. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he taught Adult Timothy Sunday School Class for many years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Barry of Lubbock and Christ of Horn Lake, Miss.; two daughters, Kay Martin of Lockney and Lori Bean of Lubbock; a sister, Agnes Frizzell of Lockney; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
