HOBBS, N.M. - Services for Gerry Hightower, 85, of Hobbs will be at 2 p.m. today in Jefferson Street Church of Christ with the Rev. Virgil Webb officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens under direction of Chapel of Hope.
She died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in Columbia Lea Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Snyder. She married
Herschell Hightower on Sept. 15, 1961, in Albuquerque. She was a real estate broker for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Don Scaramella of Lewisville; three sisters, Bobbie Hale of Actin, Olline Schilling of Sweetwater and Vada Burleson of Snyder; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Frances Edmiaston
LEVELLAND - Services for Frances Corine Edmiaston, 77, of Levelland will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of Second Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in City of Levelland cemetery.
She died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, in Hickory House.
She was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Winters. She moved to Levelland from Lubbock in 1925. She married
Hermint Edmiaston on Sept. 3, 1947, in Lovington, N.M. He died May 7, 1980. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Willard Withrow of Levelland, Donald Ray Withrow of Levelland, Johnny Mack Withrow of Fresno, Calif., and Dale Edmiaston of Granbury; a brother, Floyd Humphreys of Granbury; five sisters, Corda Leah Taylor, Isabell Burnett and Margie Morgan, all of Levelland, Louise Camino of Peoria, Ariz., and Maudie Haddox of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
Stephen Simmons
BROWNWOOD - Services for Stephen Simmons, 36, of Brownwood will be at 4 p.m. today in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenleaf cemetery.
Simmons died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in Brownwood.
He was born Oct. 8, 1962, in Lubbock. He married
Glenda Rainey on July 11, 1998, in Brownwood. He was a mechanic.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bret Moore and John Daniel Moore, both of the Bryan-College Station area, Christopher Allen Simmons of Lubbock and Forrest Simmons of Brownwood; two daughters, Spring and Summer, both of Brownwood; his mother and stepfather, Maryann and Cotton Butler of Lubbock; his father and stepmother, Beal and Pat Simmons of Lubbock; a brother, Beal Simmons Jr. of Lubbock; and several nieces and nephews.
William Carlisle
KNOX CITY - Services for William Irby Carlisle, 80, of Anton will be at 2 p.m. today in Rochester Church of Christ with Jim Pratt and Bill Trice officiating.
Burial will be in Rochester cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Carlisle died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Dec. 20, 1918, in Cleburne. He graduated from O'Brien High School. He was a farmer. He worked for Clark Equipment in Lubbock until retiring. He moved to Anton from O'Brien in 1997. He married
Johnny Mae Duncan on Sept. 10, 1937, in Rochester. He was a member of the Church of Christ. A son, Jerry Wayne, and a daughter, Cathy Irene, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe Dean of Anton; two daughters, Linda Reed of Anton and Andra Gradner of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, Tom of Tulia; a sister, Bernandine Bolin of Veiner, La.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Ronald McDonald House or to Lubbock Children's Home.
R.R. Kirby
CLOVIS, N.M. - Services for R.R. Kirby, 71, of Slaton will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Craven officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Pleasant Hill, N.M.
Kirby died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Pleasant Hill. He married
Mary Ellen Newman on May 12, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in Clovis for 20 years. He moved to Slaton in 1972 where he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad until retiring in 1986. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Scott of Lubbock, Gary of Warner Robins, Ga., and Roger D. of Lubbock; five brothers, Cecil of Baileyville, Ill., Vernon of Soper, Okla., Charles of Enterprise, Ala., Jim of Springfield, Tenn., and Mike of El Paso; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Donald Webster
SAN ANTONIO - Services for Donald R. Webster, 64, of San Antonio will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Robertson and Rev. S. Merle Waters officiating.
Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National cemetery under direction of Sunset Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He was in the real estate services with the U.S. Civil Service, serving first at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock then at Randolph an Kelly Air Force Bases in San Antonio. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, and he was a member and past master of the Alamo Lodge 1, AF&AM.; He was a member and past patron of the Bexar Chapter 616 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; three daughters, Carrie Friar of Amarillo, Cristie Grunwald of Dallas and Julie Webster of Temple; a brother, James of Odessa; a sister, Norma Cardinal of Denver, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Jenna Wilson
ODESSA - Services for Jenna Aley Wilson, 75, of Odessa will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kevin Strempke officiating.

She died Monday, March 8, 1999, in Odessa.
She was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Norton. She moved to Odessa from San Angelo in 1955. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Senior Citizens Center. Her first husband, Ray Aley, died in 1976. She married
Odell Wilson on Nov. 22, 1978, in Odessa.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Danny of Odessa; two daughters, Sandra Powell of Plano and Lesa Benton of Midland; five grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Overman of Levelland, Katherine Patterson of Stephenville and Virginia Tomlin of Galveston; a stepdaughter, Nanette Idell of McCamey; and a stepson, Warren Wilson of Midland.

She was born Dec. 22, 1902, in Meridian, Miss. She married
H.L. Holleman on Dec. 24, 1920, in Brownwood. He died Oct. 10, 1983. She moved to Brownfield in 1925 and farmed. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Olene Cox of Brownfield; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
