Harold Williams
SLATON - Graveside services for Harold Ebb "Jack" Williams, 92, of Midland will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Llano cemetery in Amarillo under direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Williams died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in Terrace Gardens Nursing Center in Midland.
He was born Sept. 1, 1906, in Heck Switch, Okla. He graduated from Heck Switch High School in 1924. He married
Caddie Towry on Nov. 19, 1927, and he farmed in Heck Switch until 1939, when he moved to White Deer. He worked with natural gas pipelines in White Deer. He retired in 1971, and he moved to Amarillo from Dumas in 1972. He moved to Slaton in 1977, and he moved to Midland in 1994. He was a 54-year member of the Scottish Rite of free masonry, SJUSA and a member of First United Methodist Church. A daughter, Betty Jean McLaughlin, died April 15, 1993.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold Dean of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Thelma Joplin of Clovis, N.M., and Mildred Roles of Georgetown; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorials to the Cerebral Palsy Center, 802 Ventura, Midland 79705, or to a favorite charity.
Nellie Downes
ATHENS, Tenn. - Services for Nellie June Riggs Downes, 77, of Athens were in Memorial Gardens in Athens under direction of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.
She died Jan. 24, 1999.
She was born March 18, 1921, in Marion County, W.Va. She moved to Monomgalia County, and attended the Sugar Grove School in Grant District. She attended the University High School in Morgantown, W.Va. She attended Fairmont State Teachers College where she received a teachers certificate. She taught school in Opekiska. She moved to Lubbock in 1970, where she received bachelor's and master's degrees in education. She taught at country schools. She worked in Lesotho, South Africa, with her husband until 1986, when they returned to Lubbock. In 1987, she moved to Athens, Tenn.
Survivors include her husband, John D. Downes; three sons, John D. Downes III of Belle Mead, N.J., Earl R. Downes of West Palm Beach, Fla., and James R. Downes of Athens; a daughter, Jean L. Rademacheer of Lansing, Mich.; four grandsons and a granddaughter.
Thomas Oliver
BROWNFIELD - Services for Thomas Pratt Oliver, 98, of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds, minister, officiating. Mike McDonald, minister, will assist.
Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Park under direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Oliver died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, in Brownfield.
He was born April 24, 1900, in Mertens. He married
Fern Marie Entrekins on Dec. 31, 1931, in Lovington, N.M. He attended Snyder and Grandview schools. He farmed until retiring in 1982. He moved to Brownfield from the Gomez community in 1982. He was a member of the Church of Christ. A son, Billy Ray, died March 23, 1991.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jeri Scott of Brownfield; a son, Freddie of Brownfield; a sister, Vera Layton of Portland, Ore.; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Eula Mae Wilson
FLOYDADA - Services for Eula Mae "Granny" Wilson, 78, of Floydada will be at 2 p.m. today in Trinity Church with the Rev. Henry Russell, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
She died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999, in Mangold Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Cedar Hill Community. She attended Cedar Hill schools and graduated from Floydada High School. She attended Draughon's Business College in Plainview. She married
George Raymond "Chick" Wilson on July 28, 1967, in Ralls. He died March 19, 1984. She moved to Ralls from Floydada in 1967, and she returned to Floydada in 1984. She retired from Piggly Wiggly in Floydada, where she worked in the meat department for 17 years. She was a member of Trinity Church in Floydada.
Survivors include a son, Joe Melvin Allard of Holly, Colo.; a brother, Eddie Fortenberry of Abernathy; three sisters, Pauline Van Hoose of Kingsland, Louise Guilliams of Carlsbad, N.M., and Marie Strickland of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Louise Fant
KERMIT - Memorial services for Louise Fant, 81, of Tahoka will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Eastside Church of Christ in Kermit with Ron Fant, minister of Tahoka Church of Christ, officiating.
Private graveside services will be in Kermit cemetery.
Cremation was under direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Kermit.
She died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in Tahoka Care Center.
She was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Queen City. She married
Roy Lee Fant on July 13, 1935, in Miller County, Ark. He died Nov. 28, 1993. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and she was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in Kermit. She moved to Tahoka from Kermit in 1992. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the family service station business.
Survivors include two sons, Ron of Tahoka and Charles of Rimrock, Ariz.; two sisters, Grace Woods of Austin and Dorothy Burdett of Abilene; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Bertha Blue
Graveside services for Bertha Mae Blue, 90, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Resthaven Memorial Park with John Bryant officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Chapel of Angels Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in Lubbock.
She was born Aug. 30, 1908. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Snyder and the Senior Citizens Center. A son, Bob Lockname, and a daughter, Alma Lee King, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two brothers, Andrew King and William King, both of Altus, Okla.; five grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Santos Bazaldua
Services for Santos Bazaldua, 61, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. today in A.W. Wilson Chapel of Jamison's Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery.
Bazaldua died Feb. 6, 1999, at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1937, in Mexico. He married
Frances Rodriquez.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Bazaldua of Loveland, Colo.; two sons, Ricardo and Eddie, both of Loveland; three brothers, Jauan of Lubbock, Cayetano of McAllen and Rudye; and a sister, Herminia Bazaldua.
Ralph Moore
MATADOR - Services for Ralph W. Moore, 65, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Christ in Matador with Dennis Zahn of Liberal, Kan., and Michael G. Crowley officiating.
Military graveside rites will be in East Mound cemetery under direction of Seigler Funeral Home.
Moore died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Gatewood, Mo. He married
Lois Jannette Anderson on Nov. 24, 1951, in Salem, Ark. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972. He was a prison guard and worked in heavy equipment maintenance. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janna Wagner of Lubbock; a son, Jerry R. Moore of Georgia; his mother, Hester Moore Hopkins of West Plains, Mo.; a brother, Raymond Edward Moore of West Plains, Mo.; a sister, V. Ruth Brewer of West Plains, Mo.; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
