SNYDER - Services for Vera Lee Moore, 91, of Snyder will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Looney, a Church of Christ minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Snyder cemetery.
She died Sunday, April 18, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 24, 1907, in Nacogdoches. She married
J.A. Moore on Jan. 10, 1925, in Biard. He died Jan. 23, 1963. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She moved to the Fluvanna area in 1935. She moved to Snyder from Paragould, Ark., in 1981.
Survivors include three daughters, Joy Richardson, Lynn Bosley and Myrna Crow, all of Snyder; a son, E.J. Moore of Paragould, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Florence Beck
Services for Florence "Flo" Beck, 88, of Lubbock will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Michael Passmore officiating.
Private burial will be directed by Rix Funeral Directors.
She died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at her residence.
She was born June 8, 1910, in El Paso and was a graduate of Jennings College in Aurora, Ill. She also attended the University of Chicago. She moved to Lubbock from Fort Worth in 1946. She was employed as a secretary by Southwestern Public Service Co. until retiring in 1972. She married
Jeff Beck on Dec. 23, 1971, in Lubbock. He died May 17, 1988. She was a member of First Christian Church, Treasurer of Christian Women's Fellowship, and member of the Harvester's Class, Keenagers and the Chatterbox Club. She was also Woman of the Year in 1984, a past president of the Caprock Chapter of National Secretaries Association and was Secretary of the Year in 1964.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Power of Lubbock and Lou Ann Talbot of Addison; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Christian Women's Fellowship Memorial Fund at First Christian Church, 2323 Broadway, Lubbock 79401.
Odie Rohde
FRIONA - Services for Odie Lee Rohde, 74, of Friona will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Friona with the Rev. Charles Broadhurst and the Rev. Wade Messer officiating.
Burial will be in Friona Memorial Park under the direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Wheeler County. She married
Walt Rohde in 1987 at Reno, Nev., and they lived in Las Vegas for several years. She owned and operated Claborn Floral in Friona for many years before her retirement. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Friona.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dr. Jobey Claborn of Kaufman and Johnny Claborn of Dallas; a brother, Bill West of Hereford; a sister, Elsie Lloyd of Hereford; and three grandchildren.
She will lie in state at First Baptist Church in Friona from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday.
Jim Massey
Services for Jim Massey, 63, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. John H. Ballard officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
He died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside.
He was born July 10, 1935, in Houston. He moved to Lubbock in 1937. He graduated from Lubbock High School and Texas Tech with a degree in business. For 40 years he was employed by Southwestern Public Service in the marketing department. His memberships include the First United Methodist Church, the Southwest Lubbock Rotary Club and Toastmasters International. He was an honorary member of the Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department. He married
Joyce Gillit in Clovis, N.M., in 1955.
Survivors include a son, James D. Massey of Round Rock; and two grandsons, Christopher and Brandon Massey.

Martha Brown
Services for Martha M. Brown, 80, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. today in Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dave Treat officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Chapel of Angels Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, in Lubbock.
She was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Goree. She was a member of the National Education Association, Texas State Teachers Association and Texas Tech Century Club. She graduated from Texas Tech in 1955. She taught school in Slaton from 1955 to 1964 and at Monterey High School from 1964 to 1984.
Survivors include a son, Mike of Lubbock; a daughter, Kathy Mady of Amarillo; a brother, Frank Lane of Sudan; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Texas Tech Academic Scholarship Fund.
Steven De La Cruz
BROWNFIELD - Rosary for Steven De La Cruz, 22, of Brownfield will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the same church with the Rev. Reynaldo Reyes officiating.
Burial will be in Brownfield cemetery under direction of Head Family Funeral Home.
De La Cruz died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999.
He was born Feb. 2, 1977, in Brownfield. He married
Priscilla Garza on Feb. 20, 1996. He worked for Scott Manufacturing in Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Danny and Adelia De La Cruz; two daughters, Stephanie Lynn De La Cruz and Lindsey Nicole De La Cruz, both of Brownfield; a brother, Justin of Brownfield; three sisters, Janeatte, Lee Ann and Jennifer, all of Brownfield.
Raymond Samples
Memorial services for Raymond Samples, 74, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bacon Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Hawkins, a Baptist minister, officiating.
Private burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Samples died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center.
He was born July 7, 1924, in Oklahoma City. He graduated from an Oklahoma City high school and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married
Geneva Sloan on Oct. 26, 1945, in Blackwell, Okla. He retired as a manager with TG&Y; Stores. He was an ordained Baptist minister, and he served in Woodrow, County Line and Southland. He was a former member and deacon at Bacon Heights Baptist Church. He moved to Lubbock from Chickasha, Okla., in 1970. A son, Bill, died Nov. 15, 1995.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charlie of Lubbock and Webb of Wolfforth; and a grandson.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, the Hank Scott Memorial Garden at Bacon Heights Baptist Church or to a favorite charity.
