Frank Salazar
ABERNATHY - Services for Frank "Chio" Salazar, 57, of Abernathy will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Colgate Church of Christ with Juan Rubio, minister, officiating.
Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. tonight at Chapel of Angels Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Belvieu cemetery in Rotan under direction of Chapel of Angels Funeral Home in Lubbock.
He was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Lockhart. He worked in the agriculture business most of his life. He worked in a gin and a grain elevator and helped with some farms in Rotan, driving tractors and working in fields. He later went to work in a filling station for a number of years.
Survivors include a son, Frank Salazar Jr. of Houston; a daughter, Barbara Lopez of Arlington; his mother, Inocencia Salazar of Abernathy; two brothers, Jesse Salazar and George Salazar, both of Abernathy; nine sisters, Esther Sepeda of Lubbock, Carmen Ochoa of Rotan, Rosa Quintanilla of Arizona, Reina Garcia, Mary Riojas, Gloria Yanez, Dora Lucero, all of Abernathy, Sylvia Lucero of Lubbock and Bea Sanchez of Wylie; and four grandchildren.
Harold Williams
MULESHOE - Services for Harold Williams, 76, of Clovis, N.M., will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ellis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willie Tolison, pastor of 16th and Pile Street Church of Christ in Clovis, officiating.
Burial will be in Bailey County cemetery under direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at his residence.
He was born April 23, 1923, in Roaring Springs. He married
Marie Roush in Fort Sumter N.M. on March 1, 1977. He moved to Clovis in 1951 from Muleshoe.
He was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis and a member of the Muleshoe Masonic Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a civil service employee at Cannon Air Force Base for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dan Williams of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dale Williams of Harlingen; two daughters, Kathy Welborn and Cindy Brindley, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Edward Williams of Stinnett; and five grandchildren.
Robert Jones
HOUSTON - Services for Robert Eli Jones, 78, of Houston were held Monday at Veterans Funeral Service in Houston.
Burial was in Arlington cemetery in San Antonio under direction of Veterans Funeral Services.
He retired from Plumbers Local 68.
He was a member of the Lubbock High Westerners championship football team in 1939.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, a sister, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Katherine Taylor
Graveside memorial services for Horace Cordell Taylor and his wife, Katherine Conatser Taylor, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at City of Levelland cemetery.
Masonic graveside services for Horace Taylor will be provided by members of Seagraves Masonic Lodge. Services for Katherine Taylor will be provided by members of Levelland Cactus Drive Church of Christ.
He died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999. She died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999.
They were former residents of Levelland and Seagraves and most recently of Golden, Colo.
Weldon Hancock
O'DONNELL - Services for Weldon Hancock, 75, of O'Donnell will be 2:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in O'Donnell with the Rev. Ken Peterson, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Wes Brown assisting.
Burial will be in Gail cemetery under direction of White Funeral Home.
His body will be at the funeral home until it is moved to the church at 12 p.m. Friday.
He died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at his residence.
He was born May 24, 1924, in Borden County. He attended O'Donnell High School and Texas Technological College, where he was a member of the Wranglers.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married
Juanda Taylor on March 8, 1947. They moved to Borden County from Lubbock in 1947.
He farmed in Borden County for 52 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Borden County Livestock Association and a founder of the Borden County Booster Club. He served on the board of directors of the O'Donnell Co-Op Gin. He was a member of the Square and Round Travel Club of Lubbock, the Terry Twirlers and Merry Mixers of Lubbock.
He coached Little League, Babe Ruth and Pony League Baseball for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in O'Donnell.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, Homer and Hazel Hancock of Tahoka; two sons, Tommy Hancock of Westbrook and Joe Dan Hancock of Manhattan, Kan.; two daughters, Sandra Cunningham of Ranger and Sue Brown of Belton; a brother, Raymond Hancock of O'Donnell; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Road, Suite 3, 79416.
James Mashburn
MIDLAND - Services for James B. "Pete" Mashburn, 92, of Midland will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Stanton with the Rev. Waymon Swopes of Greenwood Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring under direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, June 17, 1999, in Midland.
He was born May 27, 1907 in Trent. He married
Neloise Dugger on Jan. 24, 1948 in Big Spring. He moved to Martin County in 1925. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European theater and was wounded in Anzio, Italy. He lived in Martin County until 1990 when he moved to Midland. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stanton.
His wife died in 1997, and a son also died in 1990.
Survivors include a son, James B. Mashburn Jr. of Midland; four daughters, Evelyn Koonce of San Angelo, Alma Allison of Seminole, Mary David of Pasadena, and Irma Owens of Midland; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
The family will receive visitors at Gilbreath Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. today.
Amos Steelman
BOVINA - Services for Amos E. Steelman, 87, of Bovina will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Morgan, pastor, and the Rev. Don McNerlin officiating.
Burial will be in Bovina cemetery under direction of Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at Parmer County Community Hospital in Friona.
He was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Montague County. He married
Leone Glover on Feb. 3, 1934, in Bovina. She preceded him in death on Nov. 4, 1992. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bovina. He had lived in Bovina since 1929, moving there from Wellington. He was a member of the 700 club.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Gayle Steelman and Richard Steelman, both of Bovina; two daughters, Vivaliah Hutto of Bovina and Evelyn Joyce Vineyard of Glen Rose; two sisters, Opal Bowen of Lubbock and Ruby Bishop of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
