SNYDER - Services for Lillian Ruth McCollum, 97, of Snyder will be at 10 a.m. today at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with the Rev. Miller Robinson officiating.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Park cemetery in Houston under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
She died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Snyder Health Care Center.
She was born Oct. 24, 1902, in Covington. She married
William Hugh McCollum on Jan. 13, 1922, in Covington. He died June 22, 1967. She worked at Itasca Cotton Manufacturing Company. She moved to Snyder from Houston in 1992.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Porter Wheeler
RALLS - Services for Porter "Pete" Wheeler, 95, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. today at Emma Church of Christ with Ken Free officiating.
Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, at Ralls Nursing Home.
He was born June 28, 1904, in Globe. He married
Ila Mae Bradford on Dec. 10, 1936, in Gainesville, Texas. He was a member of the Emma Masonic Lodge No. 931. He moved to Crosby County in 1919. He was a farmer and a member of the board of directors of the Crosby County Fuel Co-op.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David of Houston; two daughters, Linda Stem of Lubbock and LaWanda Neel of Denver, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burney Chapman
Services for Burney Chapman, 58, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jo Mann and the Rev. Ron Brunson officiating.
Cremation is under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
He died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1941, in Fort Worth. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School and from Texas Tech in 1963 with a bachelor's degree. He was a self-employed farrier. He was a consultant in Life Data Labs, Mustad-Capewell and Thorobred Racing Plate. He was a member of American Farrier's Association, Texas Professional Farrier's Association, Texas Tech Rodeo Association, The Ranching Heritage Center, AMBUCS and American Airlines Admiral's Club. He was a former member of the Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the rank of Life Scout. He was inducted into the Kentucky Derby Hall of Fame and the Brotherhood of Working Farrier's Hall of Fame. He was known for his development of the heartbar shoe.
Survivors include four sons, Brandon, Blane, Brice and Baker, all of Lubbock; a sister, Sarah Webb of Artesia, N.M.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Wanda Hash
O'DONNELL - Services for Wanda Hash, 74, of O'Donnell will be at 2 p.m. today at the O'Donnell Church of Christ with Ken Wilde and the Rev. Richard Rush officiating.
Burial will be in O'Donnell cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in Lubbock.
She was born Feb. 2, 1925, in O'Donnell. She graduated from O'Donnell High School. She was a lifetime resident of O'Donnell. She married
Jimmy Hash on June 27, 1942, in O'Donnell. He died Aug. 4, 1974. She was a retired teacher and taught in Draw and Redwine. She also worked at Hash Cleaners for 25 years. She was a member of the O'Donnell Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Jana Bessire of O'Donnell and Kem Cathey of Bandera; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Letha Newsom
LEVELLAND - Services for Letha Newsom, 102, of Lubbock and formerly of Levelland will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with Steve Vernon, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the City of Levelland cemetery under the direction of Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.
She died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born Aug. 27, 1897, in Mason County. She married
Fred Newsom on Dec. 21, 1912, in Ranger. He died June 3, 1971.
They moved to Whitharral and began farming in 1924. They moved to Levelland in 1968. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the 1926 Study Club and the Levelland Garden Club. She moved to Lubbock in 1994.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorene Hamilton, on Aug. 3, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Ray of Waco and Weldon of Dalhart; a daughter, Joyce Robnett of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
J.D. Webb
LORENZO - Services for J.D. Webb, 71, of Lorenzo will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Boles officiating.
Burial will be in Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born July 17, 1928, in Terry County. He married
Mary Aycock on Jan. 6, 1946, in Portales, N.M. They owned Webb Nursery in Idalou for several years. He moved to Lorenzo from Willcox, Ariz., where he had farmed for 18 years. He had been a resident of Floydada. He was a farmer and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, MeLinda Susan Karnok of Athens, Ga. and Carol Kainz of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Donald of Lubbock and Roy Gene of London; a sister, Gladys Hancock of Seminole; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Jean Webb
Services for Jean Webb, 68, of Lubbock will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne R. Williams, pastor emeritus of Parkway Drive Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Sudan and moved to Lubbock in 1945. She married
Windell Wayne Webb on Jan. 25, 1945, in Lubbock. He died Jan. 18, 1978. She attended schools in Sudan and was a Baptist. She retired from Brunswick Bowling Center as the snack bar supervisor in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Ray Webb of Lubbock; three daughters, Anna Louise Webb, LaQuitta Jo Webb and Linda Denise Shelton, all of Lubbock; two brothers, Alton Benton Morgan and Bobby Joe Morgan, both of Odessa; three sisters, Patsy Ann Lang of Lubbock, Trinnie Yvonne Johnston of Tulsa, Okla., and Naomi Jewell Slagle of Paris, Texas; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
