Lucia Balderas

PLAINVIEW - Rosary for Lucia Balderas, 51, of Plainview will be said at 6 p.m. today at Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Fellowship Church with the Rev. Steve Rogers officiating and the Rev. Elbert Fadallan assisting.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley-Silva Funeral Home.

She died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at her home.

She was born Dec. 12, 1948, in Kennedy. She married Manuel Balderas on July 22, 1967, in Lockney.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Robert and Manuel, both of Plainview and Michael of Dallas; a daughter, Mary Martinez of Lubbock; five sisters, Luciana Burchfield of Pottsboro, Elvira Fielden of Whitesboro, Linda Housel of Pennsylvania, Elva Castillo of Naco and Emily Doty of Sherman; eight brothers, Remigio Guerrero of Whitesboro, Reymundo Guerrero of Graham, Rudy Guerrero and Joe Guerreo, both of Dallas, Raul Guerrero of Sherman, Rojelio Guerrero and Ruben Guerrero of Sherman and Reynaldo Guerrero of Abilene; and five grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to South West Cancer Center.

Shirley Harrison

Memorial services for Shirley J. Harrison, 52, of Lubbock will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at South Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Fikes, pastor, officiating.

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at University Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 15, 1947, in Lubbock. She married Randall Harrison on Nov. 27, 1979, in Lubbock. She worked as licensed vocational nurse for Methodist Hospital and surrounding nursing homes for many years.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Robert Dwayne Rockey of Lubbock, Ronnie Dale Rockey and Luke Rockey, both of Houston; a brother, Dwayne Hanks of Wolfforth; two sisters, Virginia Harvey and Lavonne Banks, both of Lubbock; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Cardease Wilson

Services for Cardease Wilson, 89, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Michael S. Passmore, pastor First Christian Church of Lubbock, officiating.

Burial will be in the City of Lubbock cemetery.

She died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, in Lubbock.

She was born June 4, 1909, in Yantis. She married A.L. Wilson Sr. on Dec. 7, 1923, in Paducah. He died on Dec. 17, 1988. She moved from Hereford to Lubbock in 1987 and was a Baptist. She was a member of the Hereford Art Guild, and the Porcelain Artist Clubs. Two sons, Ken Wilson and A.L. Wilson Jr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Narrel W. of Lubbock; a daughter, Wanda Newman of Elk City, Okla.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dorothy Henly

Graveside services for Dorothy Mann Henly, 81, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the City of Lubbock cemetery with the Rev. D.L. Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She died on Thursday, June 24, 1999, in University Medical Center.

She was born on August 25, 1917 in Decatur and moved to Lubbock in 1936. She married Grady Henly on February 19, 1939 in Vernon. He died on October 12, 1995. She graduated from Vernon High School and attended Texas Tech University, and was a member of the MortarBoard of Texas Tech University. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Grace Sunday School Class.

She served as the Postmaster of New Deal until her retirement in 1979.

Survivors include; two sons, Bill Henly of Dallas and Dan Henly of Lubbock; one daughter, Linda Appleton of Hayesville, N.C.; one brother, Billy Mann of Austin; and four grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials to First Baptist Church Homebound Ministries or the Arthritis Foundation.

The family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home on Friday from 6-7 p.m.

Pearline Fox

CANYON - Services for Pearline Harrison Fox, 79, of Tulia will be at 2 p.m. today at Holley Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Gray of Tulia Christain Fellowship officiating.

Burial will be in Dreamland cemetery under the direction of Holley Funeral Home.

She died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999, in Tulia.

She was born Dec. 10, 1919, in George West.

She was a homemaker.

She married M.C. "Mitt" Fox in Oct. 1939, in Canyon. He died in 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny C. Fox of Happy and Robert Lee Fox of Lubbock.

Her body will be at Holley Funeral Home until services.

Anna Loveless

Services for Anna M. Loveless, 72, formerly of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Monterey Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Mausoleum under direction of Rest Lawn, Wilsons' Funeral Directors.

She died Monday, June 21, 1999, in East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairle, La. She was born September 13, 1926, and married Ralph C. Loveless on May 9, 1946. She was retired from the Education Service Center. She was a former member of Monterey Baptist Church.

Her husband died in November of 1995.

Survivors include a son, Don of Forney; two daughters, Sharon Simmons of Metairle, La., and Nancy Loveless of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; a brother, Charles Ball of Spearman; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jacob Jones

LOCKNEY - Services for Jacob Lee Jones, 24, of Lockney will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Abney officiating.

Burial will be in Lockney cemetery under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.

He died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, in Lubbock.

He was born Jan. 24, 1975, in Plainview. He attended schools in Plainview and Lockney and graduated from Lockney High School in 1993. He received his CNA license in 1997 and was attending LVN school at South Plains College. He moved to Lockney from the Aiken community in 1985. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Floydada.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Emily Tellez of Lubbock; a daughter, Caitlin Breian of Lubbock; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Jones of Lockney; his grandparents, Pete and Betty Jones of Lockney and Leroy George of Fritch; a brother, Bryant Jones of Lubbock; and a sister, Janet Jones of Lubbock.
