SEAGRAVES - Services for Thomas Nelson, 7-month-old infant son of Eddie and Jodee Nelson of Seagraves, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Rick Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Seagraves cemetery under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 29, 1998, in Lubbock.
Survivors include his parents, three sisters, Katie, Harley and Hannah Nelson, all of Seagraves; his paternal grandparents, Tommy and Judy Mosley of Seagraves, Ronnie Nelson of Alabama, James and Magie Keel of Seagraves, Agnes Nelson of Robert Lee and Delores William of Seagraves; and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Debbie Haverman of Denver City, Ben and Sarah Bryan of Odessa and Marvin and Billie Dorsett of Lubbock.
Lloyd Ash
RICHARDSON - Services for Lloyd E. Ash, 63, of Richardson will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Church of Christ in Earth with Floyd Stanley, of Rogers, Ark., and King Burney, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Earth Memorial cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
He died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Fairview Southside Hospital in Edina, Minn.
He was born Jan. 18, 1936, in Gladewater. He was a resident of the Tipton Home in Tipton, Okla. from 1941 to 1949. He graduated from Big Lake High School. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from Abilene Christian University. He had been a Church of Christ minister for churches in Abilene, Anson, Abernathy and Earth.
He was a professional salesman and writer.
Survivors include a son, Anthony L. Ash of Corsicana; a daughter, Tonya A. Vallo of Ferris; his mother, Lillie Ash of Lamesa; five sisters, Louise Griffin of Dallas, Iona Martin of Earth, Edwana Owen of Muskogee, Okla., Weldeana Harper of Austin and Gloriaa Duke of Lamesa; and five grandchildren.

Marguerite Wren
STANTON - Services for Marguerite Wren, 82, of Stanton will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Stanton with the Rev. David Harp officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery under direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, in a Midland Hospital.
She was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Water Valley, Miss. She married
Chalmer Wren Sr. on Sept. 19, 1937, in Monahans. He died May 21, 1992. She was a longtime resident of Stanton.
She and her late husband farmed in the Stanton area for many years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Stanton.
Survivors include three sons, Chalmer Wren Jr. of Stanton, Bobby Lewis Wren of Houston and Glen Allen Wren of Trier, Germany; a brother, Earl Shippey of Houston; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Flora Parker
JAYTON - Services for Flora Earl Neeley Parker, 86, of Jayton will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Jayton with the Rev. Jim Reinbolt officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
She died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born Aug. 30, 1912, in Fisher County. She spent the early part of her life in McAdoo, where she graduated from McAdoo High School in 1930. She attended Amarillo Junior College. She lived in Spur before moving to Jayton in 1946.
She married
Lee Parker on Nov. 20, 1932, in McAdoo. He died June 18, 1996.
She worked along side her husband for many years at the Parker Butane business in Jayton.
She was a Methodist.
Survivors include a son, David Parker of Jayton; four daughters, Shirley Haddick of Arlington, Flora Hagen of Center Point, Bobbie Meixner of Vernon and Betty Culpepper of San Antonio; two brothers, Koy Neeley of Lampasas and Kenneth Neeley of Amarillo; four sisters, Theresa Holmes of Clyde, Winnie D. "Pete" Burney of San Antonio, Myrna Nell "Polly" Byrum of Anton and Joan Power of Bentonville, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Bera Reed
Graveside services for Bera Mae Reed, 72, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Resthaven Memorial Park with Mike Fagan officiating.
Burial is under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at Lakeside Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born in Irene, and married
Vernon D. Reed on Feb. 12, 1956 in Clovis, N.M. Prior to retirement, she was a nurse employed by Dr. Billy Kincaid. She received her L.V.N. from the Amherst Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Shallowater.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sandy of Lubbock; her mother, Mattie Merrell of Littlefield; a brother, Ed Merrell of El Paso; a sister, Martha Taylor of Sudan; and one granddaughter.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, 3601 4th St., Lubbock 79430.
Mildred Cortez
LAMESA - Services for Mildred E. Cortez, 76, of Lamesa will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
Burial will be in Lamesa cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
She died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.
She was born April 30, 1922, in McClain County, Okla. She married
Felix Cortez.
Survivors include her husband.
Gloria Lytle
Gloria Gay "Gigi" Lytle, 57, of Lubbock died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at her residence.
No formal services are planned.
Arrange-ments are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
She was born on July 2, 1941, in Stratton, Neb. She was a graduate of Hobbs (N.M.) High School. She attended Kansas State University.
While a resident of Hobbs, she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and obtained a federal radiotelephone operator permit and was active in Girl Scouts, attending a world gathering in Finland in 1958.
When she moved to Lubbock, she became an active member of the worldwide short wave radio community and won a trip to China in 1993 in a world radio contest.
She was a legal secretary and had been employed by the firm of Crenshaw, Dupree and Milam, and the U.S. Attorney's Office. Later, she was employed in the trust department at American State Bank.
Surviving are a son, Scott Hill of Lubbock; two daughters, Belinda Gamboa of Lubbock and Celeste Goodwin of Sweetwater; her mother, Alberta Schlaefli of Sweetwater; and a brother, Tommy Schlaefli of Las Cruces, N.M.
