Services for Mollie Venita Krizan, 85, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Horizon Baptist Church with the Revs. Jackie Gestes and Tom Reynolds officiating.
Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Springlake cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
She died on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center.
She was born on June 27, 1915, in Sedalia. She moved to Lubbock in August 1999 from Smyer. She married
Waldean Roberson on Dec. 16, 1933, in Plainview. He died on May 23, 1963.
She married
Edmond R. Krizan on Jan. 29, 1984, in Idalou. He died on June 16, 1997.
She was a housewife and a member of New Horizon Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur A. Roberson of Lubbock, and Donald E. Krizan of Houston; two daughters, Janet Wheeler of Andrews and Judith Ann Krizan of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Postelle Pigford
HOUSTON Graveside services for Postelle Pigford, 82, of Boerne will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Forest Park Westheimer cemetery in Houston with the Rev. David B. Vaughan officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Vaughan's Funeral Home of Boerne.
She died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000.
She was born March 7, 1918, in Plainview. She was married
to Dr. Charles Pigford. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joe Cox of Fair Oaks Ranch; a stepdaughter, Linda Harper of Dallas; a brother, Olie O'Neal Jr. of Lubbock; a sister, Betty Poston of Lindale; and four grandchildren.
Rachel Abel
CARMICHAEL, CALIF. Rachel Abel, 82, of Carmichael died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2000, in Carmichael.
No services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Lind Brothers Mortuary Carmichael Oaks Chapel.
She was born June 6, 1918, in Wilbarger County, Texas. She lived in Eskaton Village in Carmichael for seven years. She lived many years in Lubbock.
Her husband, Tom, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Jack; a brother, George Germany of the Lubbock area; a sister, Zelma Rush of the Lubbock area; and two grandchildren.
Stefanie Hill
MONAHANS - Services for Stefanie Joy Hill, 19, of Odessa will be at 10 a.m. today at Grace Fellowship Church in Monahans with the Rev. Mark Bristow officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa at 3 p.m.
She died Monday, May 29, 2000, in Lubbock.
She was born Aug. 15, 1980, in Monahans.
She was a senior at Texas Tech and was majoring in psychology. Her future plans included graduate studies at Texas Women's University in Denton. She was a member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church in Lubbock and Sigma Phi Lambda Sorority.
Survivors include her parents, Terry and Karen Hill of Odessa; three sisters, Janelle, Jessica and Jordan; her grandparents, Bryant and Barbara Hill of Lubbock, Don Hill of Mathis and Joy Hil of Monahans.
The family suggests memorials to First State Bank in Monahans, attn. Clara Edwards.
Mary Ford
HOBBS, N.M. - Services for Mary Nell Ford, 49, of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Stringer officiating.
Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Hobbs under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Hobbs Health Care Center.
She was born on June 4, 1950, in Hobbs, N.M. She married
Chellie Ford on July 21, 1973, in El Paso.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Albert Ford of Hobbs; a daughter, Damie Ford of Hobbs; and a granddaughter.
Visitation is scheduled Sunday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 8 a.m. until services.
Leonard McGowan
Services for Leonard Clinton McGowan, 87, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Junction cemetery in Junction under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo.
He died Monday, May 8, 2000, at his grandson's residence in San Angelo.
He was born Feb. 6, 1913, in Paluxy. He was a general contractor and a member of Central Baptist Church in Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy McGowan of Lubbock; two daughters, Peggy Branaman of Junction and Lavon Mann of San Antonio; a sister, Thelma Henry of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
John Curry
IRVING - Graveside services for John W. Curry, 45, of Irving will be at 1 p.m. in Bear Creek cemetery in Irving under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Dallas.
Memorial services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving.
He died Monday, May 8, 2000, in Irving.
He was born June 14, 1954, in Tulia.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, his mother, a brother, and two sisters.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
