Mrs. Milam was born Nov. 7, 1935 in Kaufman, Tx. to the late Roy D. and Annie Chamblee. She died Oct. 24, 200.
She retired from Dresser-Rand Industry, Houston, Tx. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Palacios and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star #380.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Milam, Sr. of Palacios; sons and daughters-in-law, Alton and Kim Smith, and David and Sharon Smith, all of Houston; stepson, Ricky Milam and wife Penny; step-daughter, Becky Garcia and husband Pat, all of Palacios; sisters Lorraine Smith, Faye Bates and husband Vernon, and Ethel Kunefke; sister-in-law, Wanda Chamblee, all of Palacios; Margaret Cleveland and Shirley Griffith and husband Ervin of Victoria; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roy Alton “Buddy” Smith; brothers Roy D. and Freddie Wayne Chamblee; and sisters Evelyn Taylor, Mary Alice, Wanda and Joyce Chamblee.
Pallbearers were Homer Brown, Mark Bates, Pat Garcia, Brad Scott, Bobby Ray Kunefke, Charles Eikenberg, Michael Griffith and John Toellner. Honorary Pallbearers were be L.J. Brister, Homer Aparcio and her grandchildren.

AUBREY DENSON SANDERS
Funeral services for Aubrey Denson Sanders, 83, of Palacios, Tx., were held Oct. 25, 2008 at Trinity Baptist Church in Palacios with Rev. Louis Rush officiating. Interment was at Hawley cemetery.
Mr. Sanders was born Sept. 7, 1925 in Sulpher Springs, Tx. to the late Fred and Dee Lillie Williams Sanders. He died Oct. 22, 2008.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Gail and William Dannels of Midland, TX; sons and daughters-in-law David and Debbie Sanders of Palacios, and Dan and Shawn Sanders of Huffman, TX; sisters Bernice Voyles and Nancy Peek, brother Frank Sanders of Jacksonville, TX; grandchildren Brandon Sanders and Ashley Sanders both of Palacios, Jeffrey Dannels and wife Jennifer of Little, Elm, TX and Jennifer Dannels Smith and husband Kyle of Carrollton, TX, Micah Sanders of Oregon and Danessa Sanders of New Caney, TX; and great grandchildren Liam Smith and Morgan Dannels.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Sanders and brothers Virgil and Dayton Sanders.
Pallbearers were John Toellner, Charles Mize, Bennie Mize, Jeff Dannels, Bill Dannels and Herbert Ressler.

PEGGY LAWSON PITTMAN
Funeral services for Peggy Lawson Pittman, 66, of Boling, Tx., were held Oct. 11, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Palacios with Revs. Andy and Janell Blair officiating. Interment was at Palacios cemetery.
Mrs. Pittman was born May 3, 1942 in Houston, Tx. to J. Sewell and Margaret Hill Lawson. She died Oct. 9, 2008.
She attended WCTC A&I; in Kingsville and worked as librarian and substitute teacher in Bay City and Van Vleck ISDs. She owned and operated Pittman’s Variety Store in Palacios and Pittman’s Grocery in Boling.
She is survived by her mother Margaret Lynn of Palacios; daughter and son-in-law Sissy P. and Brett S. Taylor; son and daughter-in-law Charles Luther and Rhonda Pittman; grandchildren Nicklos, Roxanne and Colton Pittman, and Kacy and Kory Taylor; and step-children Rick Daughtery and Karen Daughtery Pierce and their families.
She was preceded in death by her father. and her husband, Charlie D. Pittman.
Pallbearers were John Toellner, Charles Taylor, J. W. Luedcke, Jimmy Neeley, James Janeck and Dan Tucker.

ALVIS C. HUNTER
Funeral services for Alvis C. Hunter, 80, were held Oct. 2, 2008 at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South in San Antonio, Tx. Interment was at Mission Burial Park South.
Mr. Hunter was born on Aug. 27, 1928. He went to be with the Lord on Sept. 29, 2008.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Polly A. Hunter; his three sons Alvis R. Hunter (Darla), Bill Hunter (Lesa), and Leslie Hunter (Cheryl); sister Ann Mangum (Dalton); brother Trammel Hunter (Joyce); grandchildren Dustin, Bonnie, Natalie and Katie; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

JEROME KIMBALL, III
A family memorial for Jerome “Jerry” Kimball, III, 49 was held Sept. 26, 2009 at Wharton Funeral Home in Wharton, Tx.
Mr. Kimball was born May 6, 1959 to Bonnie and Jerome B. Kimball, Jr. in Ft. Ord, Calif. He passed away Sept. 19, 2008 at Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital in Houston.
He was preceded in death by his father, and his sister, Stacy Lynn Kimball Odom.
ISABELLE APARICIO GARCIA
Funeral services for Isabelle Aparicio Garcia, 90, of San Antonio, were held Oct. 1, 2008 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Palacios, Tx. with Father Mike Buentello and Father Dan Morales officiating. Interment was at Palacios cemetery.
Mrs. Garcia born to Manuela and Isaac Aparicio in Goliad, Tx. on Jan. 2, 1918. She entered into eternal life on Sept. 28, 2008.
She was a devoted wife and mother who, with deep faith, love, and tremendous trust, showed us by her example the precious gift of life. She lived to the fullest its virtues of faith, hope, and love, always serving God’s will. Mamaw, we will miss you.
She is survived by her children: Mike Garcia and wife Elba of New Milford, CT, Mary Ramirez of Galveston, Ben Garcia, Jr. and wife Mari of San Antonio, Bertha Garcia of San Antonio, Mamie Herrera of Houston, Molly Kafarela and husband Niko of Houston, Robert Garcia, Sr. and wife Mary Ann of Palacios, Liz Ramirez and husband Steve of Angleton, Carrie Lopez and husband Raul of San Antonio, Bonnie Suniga and husband Ruben of Angleton, 31 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Garcia, Sr., daughter Angela, son Isaac, sister Janie Gonzales, and brothers Homer and Bernard Aparicio.
Pallbearers were Chris Ramirez, Carlos Garcia, Dan herrera, Robert Garcia Jr., Marcos Lopez and Matthew Suniga. Alter servers were Kenneth Garcia Jr., Drew Morales and Anthony and Christopher Garcia.
GEORGE WILLIAM HEJTMANEK
Funeral services for George William Hejtmanek, 80, of Ashby, were held Oct. 2, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Bay City with Revs. Andy and Janell Blair officiating. Interment was at Ashby cemetery.
Mr. Hejtmanek was born on Feb. 14, 1928, in El Maton, Tx.. He died Sept. 30, 2008.
The youngest of six children, George was raised by his parents, Frank and Albina, on a cotton farm in Ashby during the depression era. He graduated from Blessing High School in 1945, and, after serving in the U.S. Army, he married
Dovie Lee Spoor on June 22, 1948. He started out with a small cotton farm and with hard work, ingenuity, and integrity, became a respected and successful farmer and rancher, receiving numerous awards and recognition. He was also a leader in the community. George was president of the Tidehaven School Board for over 20 years, served as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Collegeport, and mentored young farmers in the area.
George and Dovie were married
for 58 years and raised a happy and close-knit family. He was a loving and involved father and grandfather and was a wonderful role model. His children have fond memories of working with him in the fields, tending the cows, and talking with him. As a grandfather, he treated the kids to pickup rides to see the cows, feeding the catfish, making homemade ice cream, and dressing up as the Easter Bunny. George also loved history, reading, gardening, growing roses, and playing cards and dominoes. He was a good friend and had a generous spirit and a sweet nature. George often said, “I’ve always tried to live by the Golden Rule and treat other people the way I want to be treated.” He succeeded in this and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, George Hejtmanek Jr. and wife Barbara of Houston, Ronald Hejtmanek and wife Beverly of Austin, and Cheryl Horne and husband Michael of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Erin Althaus and husband Brian, Jennifer Kriskey and husband Thomas, Steven, Rachel, Russell, and Randall Hejtmanek, Meagan and Michael Horne; step-grandchildren, Erin Rystad and husband Greg, and Emily and Mary Rochford; great-grandchildren, Preston and Emerson Althaus, and Abigail and Zoe Kriskey. He is also survived by his sisters Alice Jurek and Martha Jane Schimek.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dovie; his parents, Frank J. and Albina Hejtmanek; and siblings, Anna Mae Jurek, Georgia Lostak, and Frank Hejtmanek. He was also preceded in death by his grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Hejtmanek.

JONITA JOY STEWART LOUDERBACK
Funeral services for Jonita Joy Stewart Louderback, 80, of Edna, Tx., were held Oct. 1, 2008 at Edna Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Bozarth officiating. Interment was at Memory Gardens in Edna.
Mrs. Louderback was born on Feb. 1, 1928 in Houston to the late William and Ermine Partain Stewart. She died Sept. 28, 2008 in Victoria, Tx.
She was a retired teacher for Palacios ISD, a graduate of Texas Womens University in Denton and a member of Edna Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gates of Edna and Cindy Brookhouser of Van Vleck; son, Andy Louderback of Edna; grandchildren, Jennifer Weeren, Julianne Hammock, Jonathan Gates, Katie Brookhouser, Clint Johnson, Kara Louderback and Kelsie Louderback.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Jerome Louderback; and brother, William Stewart.
