Funeral services for Christopher Gonzales, 18, of Blessing, were held Dec. 4, 2007 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Blessing. Interment was at St. Peter’s Catholic cemetery in Blessing.
Christopher was born Dec.31, 1988 in Bay City, TX to Irene Bernal and Francisco Gonzales, Jr. He died Nov. 28, 2007.
He is survived by his parents Irene Bernal and Francisco Gonzales, Jr. of Blessing; brothers Kevin Gonzales, Sr. and Francisco Gonzales III & wife Virginia all of Bay City; grandfather Guadalupe Bernal, Sr. of San Perlita, TX; his girlfriend Victoria Davalos of Markham; nephew Kevin Gonzales, Jr. and niece Alizia Marie Gonzales both of Bay City; aunts Rosie Vera and husband Raul, Lydia Moran, Leonisa Garza, Licha Mesa, Fidela Wilkins, Luisa Gonzales and Catarina Conde; uncles Guadalupe Bernal Jr., Raul Bernal and wife Yolanda, Ruben Bernal and wife Marti, Pepe Garza, Juan Gonzales, Fernando Gonzales and Felipe Gonzales; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers were Cody Mallette, Santaigo Saucedo, Jose Palomares, Daniel Perez, David Perez, and Justin Lara. Honorary pallbearer was Sean Carrillo.

JANET R. BULLOCK
Funeral services for Janet R. Bullock, 71, of Palacios, were held Nov. 23, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Palacios with Rev. Dave Gruhn officiating. Interment was at Hawley cemetery in Blessing.
Mrs. Bullock born March 22, 1936 in Tyler, TX to Howard Dubblin Roberts and Mozelle Viola Glover Roberts. She died Nov. 19, 2007.
She was a resident of Palacios since 1960 and a member of the First Baptist Church of Palacios, TX.
She is survived by her husband Leamon Leon Bullock of Palacios; daughters Julie Sliva and husband Danny of Blessing, and Michele Hubbard and husband Jeremy of Spring; sons: David Bullock and wife Shelly of Bay City, and William Bullock of Orchard; sister Sandra Alexander of Lindale; brother Phillip Roberts of Texas City; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father: Howard D. Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Danny Sliva, Dustin Sliva, Jeremy Hubbard, Brian Jackson, Neil Christenson, and Kyle Glover.

FLORENCE ‘FLO’ CLARDY FALKS
Funeral services for Florence “Flo“ Falks, 65, of Angleton, Tx., were held Nov. 20, 2007 at Second Baptist Church in Angleton. Interment was in Bay City.
Mrs. Falks was born Oct. 18, 1942 in Palacios, Tx. to the late Vernon and Geraldine (Gerri) Clardy. She died Nov. 17, 2007. A member of Second Baptist Church, she was a retired Angleton business woman and was working as a part-time Clerk of Brazoria County District Attorney Office-Civil Division.
Flo will be sadly missed by family and numerous friends who spent many weekends & holidays camping with her and Ollie. There are many happy memories of endless domino and card games while camping and at family reunions. Flo cherished and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and especially her husband of 47 years, Ollie. Favorite pets Angel and Priss who constantly occupied her lap while traveling in the motor home will now find comfort with Ollie.
She is survived by her husband Ollie of Angleton; sons Dwayne Falks and wife Connie of Pineville, La., and Keith Falks and wife Carolyn of Richwood; daughter Cheryl McLeland and husband Don of Manvel and special daughter Jennifer Autry of Angleton; sisters Lucille Dendy of Longview, Tx., Kathleen Hanks of Kountze, Tx, Bessie Jo Samuels of Kansas City, Mo., and Gladys Clements of Palacios; brothers Charles Laslie of Mountain Home, Ark. and Pat Brumbelow of Ellinsville, NY; special niece Debbie Simek and husband David of Inez, Tx.; grandchildren Kyle and Katie Falks of Pineville, La., Tyler Falks of Richwood, LaShann and Shelly Sanders of Richwood; great-granddaughter Hailey Falks of Pineville, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Cole.
Pallberarers were Kyle Falks, Rick Evanicky, James Evanicky, Robert Evinecky, Steve Wilks, Mike Wilks, Donnie Falks and Chris Orsag. Honorary pallbearers were employees of the Civil Division of Brazoria County District Attorney’s Office.
ARMANDO GALVEZ, SR.
Funeral services for Armando Galvez, Sr., 54, of Bay City, were held Nov. 19, 2007 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City with Rev. Casey Jarzombek officiating. Interment was at Palacios cemetery in Palacios, TX.
Mr. Galvez was born July 20, 1953 in Rio Hondo, TX to Antonio Rodriguez Galvez and Amelia Trevino Galvez. He passed away Nov. 15, 2007 in Houston.
He was resident of Bay City for the past 20 years and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City.
He is survived by his daughter Monica Rodriguez of Kalamazoo, MI; sons Armando Galvez, Jr. of Dickinson, TX and Luciano Galvez and wife Samantha of Fritch, TX; his mother Amelia Galvez of Bay City; sisters Dora Gomez of Laredo, Dalia Rodriguez of Bay City, Irene Salazar of Houston and Genoveva Flores of Katy; brothers Arturo Galvez of Brownsville and Tony Galvez of Bay City; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio R. Galvez.

ELIZABETH ALYNE DAVIS
Funeral services for Elizabeth Alyne Davis, 82, of Blessing, Tx. were held Nov. 16, 2007 at Taylor Brothers in Bay City. Interment was at Lewis cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
Mrs. Davis was born Oct. 18, 1925 in Stanford, KY to Daniel Potter and Lillian Hiatt Potter. She died Nov. 13, 2007 after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jack Davis of Blessing, daughters Sandra Hamilton and husband Wayne of Branson, MO; Jackie Moore and husband Russ of Rosharon; sons Jim Davis and wife DruAnn of Conroe; Randy Davis and wife Mary of Blessing, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents and brother Leslie Potter.

MARY HELEN ROACH
Funeral services for Mary Helen Roach, 86, were held Nov. 9, 2007 at the Palacios Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Viera officiating. Interment was at Palacios cemetery.
Mrs. Roach was born Aug.5, 1921 in Palacios to Mae Taylor and Claude Smith. She passed away Nov. 4, 2007.
Her life was being a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She married
John P. Roach on April 5, 1937, and together they had two children, Mary Jean Jones and John Thomas Roach. Mrs. Roach was a life long resident of Palacios and had lived the past six years in Houston. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and of the Catholic Daughters in Palacios.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jean Jones, and her son: John Thomas Roach, both of Houston; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Joyce Taylor and Jody Gonzales; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Roach; her parents Mae Taylor and Claude Smith; brothers Tom Smith and Bobby Taylor; son-in-law Joe M. Jones; and grandson Tyler Roach.

Mrs. Mosier was born Jan. 25, 1932 in Palacios to the late Bertha Kincannon and Loren G. Margerum. She passed away Nov. 6, 2007.
Mrs. Mosier was a life long resident of Palacios, a retired Tax Assessor with Palacios I.S.D., and a member of the First Baptist Church of Palacios.
She is survived by husband: Rudolph Elwood Mosier, Jr. of Palacios; daughters Diana M. Slavik and husband Harold of Victoria, and Susan M. Stanfield and husband Derrek of College Station; son, Terry W. Mosier and wife Debbie of Palacios; sister Margaret Hockey of San Antonio; 7 grandchildren: Angela Diaz and husband Mario of Palacios, Mary Lynn Roe and husband Jason of Bay City; Leigh Ann Roemer and husband Eric of Mission, Bonnie Curington and husband Shane of Temple; Kristen Treider and husband Russell of Meridian MS, Daniel Stanfield of College Station, and Cassie Dearen of Victoria; 5 great-grandchildren: Austin, Adrian and Alaina Diaz all of Palacios, and Hannah and Chloe Treider of Meridian MS.
Mrs. Mosier was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Geraldine Thigpen and Eleanor Mathias.

RICHARD TRUMAN (Dick) BOLLING
Richard Truman “Dick” Bolling was born March 23, 1936. He passed away Nov. 7, 2007. He will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread in a very private ceremony.
Dick lived a full life.
