Verabee Molsbee Phillips
Verabee Molsbee Phillips, 88, of Nocona, TX passed away on February 10, 2003.
Mrs. Phillips was born on May 13, 1914 in Nocona, TX to Orville and Lucy Floyd Buckley Molsbee. She retired as an Avon Sales Rep. after 20 years and was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips were held on Friday, February 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren with Rev. Tommy Lamascus and Rev. Don Hendrix officiating. Interment was held in Molsbee Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Orville Lee Phillips; one brother, Gerald Molsbee, Gainesville, TX; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Doane Phillips; her parents, Orville and Lucy Molsbee; four brothers, Eugene, S.W., Olin and O.M. Molsbee; and one sister, Sue Vaughn.

Nora Jean Rhyne Stockton
Nora Jean Rhyne Stockton, 73, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on January 18, 2003 at a Fort Worth hospital.
She was born in Bowie, Texas on November 12, 1929 and grew up in Bowie. She was a 1947 graduate of Bowie High School. She married Warren Stockton on April 3, 1949.
Services were held January 23, 2003 at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church in Weatherford with Dr. Vaughn Baker and Rev. Jim Jarrel officiating. Burial was at Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Cotton-Bratton Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include: her husband, Warren Stockton; one son, Mark Stockton; one daughter, Sandy Caffee; one sister, Anita Joyce Rhyne Sanders; grandchildren, Sara and Zack Stockton and Trent and Bailey Caffee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O.Z. and Vera Rhyne.

Tolbert Caesar Fanning
Tolbert Caesar Fanning, 90, of Forestburg, TX passed away on February 9, 2003 in Denton Regional Medical Center in Denton, TX.
Mr. Fanning was born on September 25, 1912 in Forestburg, TX to James Ashley and Olis Katherine Kidd Fanning. He married La Vona Elizabeth Wilson on December 30, 1939 in Hillsboro, TX. He taught school in Stony Point, Forestburg, Saint Jo, New Home and Abilene schools, where he also coached boys and girls basketball and boys track. He prided himself in winning 383 basketball games. He retired in 1975.
Funeral services for Mr. Fanning were held on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Forestburg Church of Christ in Forestburg, TX with Loyd Morris officiating. Interment was held in Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg, TX under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, La Vona Fanning, Forestburg, TX; one daughter, Sally Fanning, Danbury, CT; one son, Steve Fanning, Denton, TX; and five grandchildren. Mr. Fanning was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Fanning; and one brother, Foy Fanning.
Pallbearers included: his nephews.

Eunice Isabelle Allen
Eunice Isabelle Allen, 87, of Nocona, TX passed away on February 16, 2003 at Nocona Nursing Home.
Mrs. Allen was born on October 6, 1915 in Montague, TX to G. P. and Lilly Pitcock Richardson. She was a homemaker and first and presser at Action Line. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Allen were held on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Schlittenhart and Rev. Buddy Lee officiating. Interment was in Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: seven children, Sam and Louise Allen of Nocona; Alice and Mike Harper, Bowie, TX, Minnie and Jerry Walker, Ringgold, TX, Doie and Peggy Allen, Nocona, TX, Joan and Otis Tettleton, Nocona, TX, David and Linda Allen, Nocona, TX, and Barbara and Jimmy Ice, Bonita, TX; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lucille Richardson. She was preceded in death by two young daughters, Betty Allen and Mary Allen; a daughter-in-law, Noma Lee Allen; a grandson, Randy Allen; and two brothers and four sisters.

Raymond Francis Love
Raymond Francis Love, age 78 of Orting, WA, passed away on February 14, 2003 at Washington State Soldiers Home.
He was born on February 23, 1924 in Fiatt, IL to William Vincent and Lena Belle Alexander Love. He was a lifetime member of the Salvation Army. He was a retired military, army veteran, serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Graveside services for Mr. Love were held on Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 3 p.m. in the Nocona Cemetery.
Survivors include: Ruby Glenn of Nocona, Texas, Harriet Ross of Crossett, AK and Leota Klein of Rhome, Texas.

Clora Evalene (Ward) Wimberly
Clora Evalene (Ward) Wimberly, age 74 of Shreveport, LA passed away on February 23, 2003 at her residence.
Mrs. Wimberly was born on February 23, 1929 in Heber Springs, AR to Roy James Ward and Clora Ellen Fortner Ward. She married William Scarbrough Wimberly on June 29, 1957 in Minden, LA. She was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, gardening, her neighbors and friends. She was a graduate of Hope High School in Hope, AR.
Services for Mrs. Wimberly were held on February 26, 2003 at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel in Saint Jo. Interment was held in the Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Survivors include: her mother, Clora Ward of Saint Jo, Texas and her sister, Loretta Parmer and her husband, James of Saint Jo and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wimberly and her father, Roy Ward.
Pallbearers were: Wally Fugate, Red Hackett, Monty Fischer, and Bobby Wimberly.

Arnold William Knabe
Arnold William Knabe, 75, of Muenster, TX passed away on February 26, 2003 in Kindred Hospital in Fort Worth.
Mr. Knabe was born on September 19, 1927 in Muenster, TX to Albert B. and Anna Stoffels Knabe. He married Aileen Clara Koelzer on November 10, 1953 in Sacred Heart Church in Muenster. He was the owner/operator of a dairy farm north of Muenster since 1954. He also worked in the oil field and for the REA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, March 1, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Muenster, TX with Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A. officiating. Interment was held in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster, TX under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Aileen Clara Knabe, Muenster, TX; three daughters, Janet Felderhoff, Carol Sicking, and Lorie Grewing, all of Muenster, TX; two sons, Gary and Darrell Knabe, both of Muenster, TX; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Margaret Schmitt, Lillian Cardwell and Angie Lutkenhaus, all of Muenster, TX, Adeline Devers, Valley View, TX and Sister Anselma Knabe, Fort Worth, TX; and extended family, Damian and Grace Walterscheid, Muenster, TX. Mr. Knabe was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Margie Ann Walterscheid; one granddaughter, Amy Hilton; four brothers, Adolph, Leonard, Albert and Gilbert Knabe; and one sister, Lorine Morrison.
Pallbearers included: Jody Felderhoff, Toby Walterscheid, Jeff Felderhoff, Brandon Grewing, Herbie Fette, and Larry Reiter.

James Darrell Mills
James Darrell Mills, 79, of Newport, TX passed away on February 25, 2003 at Bowie Nursing Center.
Mr. Mills was born on May 17, 1923 in Grapevine, TX. He was a retired cabinet maker and served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
A private graveside committal service was held at a later date at Newport Cemetery in Newport, TX under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Mrs. Annie Mills, Newport, TX; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Forson, Newport, TX; two sons, Jimmy and Randy Mills, both of Allen, TX; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Goss
Mary Goss, 77, of Bowie, TX passed away on February 26, 2003 in Bellmire Healthcare Facilities.|
Mrs. Goss was born on December 25, 1925 in Oklahoma City, OK. She married Dub Goss. She was a retired surgical nurse.
There were no services held.
Surviving relatives include: two sons, James Harmon, SC and David Harmon, FL; one daughter, Janet Busch, CA; one sister, Patricia Smith, OK; one brother, Bobby Jackson, Bowie, TX; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Mrs. Goss was preceded in death by her husband, Dub Goss.
