Mrs. Lawdermilk was born on March 6, 1927 in Bowie, TX and was a lifetime resident. She graduated from Bowie High School in 1944. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie, TX.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2000 in the First Baptist Church, Bowie, TX. Dr. Ronnie Lawson officiated the services under the direction of Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, TX. Pallbearers were Craig Rhyne, T. R. Rhyne, Adam Rhyne, Chris Rhyne, and Monty Beggs.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Charlotte Erfurt, Bandera, TX and Sue Tune, Bowie, TX; one son, David Lawdermilk, Bowie, TX; one brother, Jimmy Hamilton, Bowie, TX; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Lawdermilk, 1996 and one sister Iris Rhyne.

James Sanford George, 57, of Decatur, TX passed away on June 2, 2000 in his residence.
James George was born on July 22, 1942 in Seymour, TX. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He married Audrey Lee Chapin in 1991 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was in the roofing and construction industry.
Services were held on Sunday, June 11, 2000 at 4:00 p.m. in the family residence. Minister Warren Carruthers officiated services under the direction of Coker Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Audrey George, Decatur, TX; his father, Dale Heard, Olney, TX; sons, Bobby Copeland, James Copeland and Dale George all of Decatur, TX; one daughter, Robin Hamilton, Decatur, TX; three brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and extended family and friends.
James Lelon Wolfe
James Lelon Wolfe, 41, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2000 in a Fort Worth Hospital.
Mr. Wolfe was born on January 29, 1959 in Hobbs, New Mexico. James worked as the Executive Vice President of Emergency Fire Protection Systems of Fort Worth, Texas. He was a member of the Texas Fire Sprinkler Association.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Bridgeport, Texas. Dr. Bill Dye officiated the services under direction of Hawkins Funeral Home. Interment was held in Thomas Cemetery, Bridgeport, Texas. Pallbearers were Charles Akerman, Scott Colburn, Bill Carmickle, Chris Piercy, Jeff Obitz, Gary Massie, John Hickman, Jim Tidwel, Herb Taylor and Danny Elliott.
Surviving relatives include his wife of the home, Carroll Renee Wolfe; his parents, Lelon and Bonnie Wolfe and Jim and Eva Read; his son, James Carroll "Dude" Wolfe; his daughter, Jonna Renee Wolfe; five brothers, Waylon, Joe and Grady Wolfe, Randle and David Read; three sisters, Cynthia Carl, Cheryl Smith, and Christa Walenciak; his grandmother, Marie Kneeland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lawrence was formerly employed at Nocona Boot Co., the Montague County Shopper and Memories Tea Room.
Services were held on Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at 2:00 PM at Abundant Life Church with Rev. Rod Messer officiating.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lawrence; one son, Bradley of Nocona ; three daughters, Chelsea, Brittany, and Madison, all of Nocona; one sister, Lorie Hogan Sparks of Nocona; two brothers, William (Bill) and John Hogan, both of Nocona; three stop-brothers, Jacob York of Marble Fall, TX, Clinton York and Cody York, both of Portland, TN; her mother and step dad, Rose and Mike Woods of Nocona; father and step-mother, William and Jani Hogan of Portland, TN; and her grandfather, Sam Hill of Nocona.

Mrs. Auda Richardson, age 97 of Bowie passed away on September 20, 2000 at United Regional HCC, 11th Street in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mrs. Richardson was born on October 14, 1902 in Springtown, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bowie. Mrs. Richardson had been a resident of Bowie for 52 years and a lifetime resident of Montague County.
Services were held on Saturday, September 23, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Bowie, officiated by Rev. Chuck Aaron and Rev. Darrell Brown. Interment was held at Salona Cemetery under the direction of Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home.
Survivors include one son, M.D. "Doyle" Richardson, Bowie; three daughters, Mrs. Joyce May of Hurst, TX; Mrs. Jean Bridgewater of Bowie; and Mrs. Patsy Plaxco of Spring, TX; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Richardson, Sr.; one son, H.A. Richardson, Jr.; and one daughter, Jo Ann Stone.
Pallbearers were Lance Cunningham, Jerry Richardson, Steven Plaxco, Bobby Stone, Charles Richardson, and Ronny Stone. Honorary Pallbearers were Gary Cunningham, Larry May, Jerrall Richardson, Dave Harrison, Robert Mingee, Jack Westwood-Booth, Steve Henderson, Allen Richardson, Justin Richardson, Gary Don Richardson and Cleve Adamson.
Jimmy Lindsey Dennis . . .
Jimmy Lindsey Dennis, age 57 of Saint Jo, Texas passed away on September 30, 2000 in St. Paul Hospital in Dallas.
Mr. Dennis was born on December 19, 1942 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was a member of the Saint Jo Church of Christ and was very strong in his faith. He lived most of his life in Saint Jo and was a family man, loving husband, father & grandfather. He was an avid fisherman, entering numerous bass tournaments and winning many of them, prior to becoming ill. He worked several years in metal construction.
Services were held on Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Christ in Saint Jo. Officiating clergymen were Chester Cullum and C.E. Cole. Burial was held in Buffalo Springs Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Dennis of Saint Jo; two sons, Jimmy Dennis, Jr. and Michael Dennis, both of Saint Jo; three grandchildren, Ashley, Morgan & Colby Dennis of Saint Jo; his mother, Alta Raye Dennis of Saint Jo; two sisters, Lucy Thomas of San Antonio and Helen Bryce of Saint Jo; two brothers, Jack Dennis of Gainesville and Charles Dennis of Saint Jo; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; extended family of Denise & Jeff Flavin of Bridgeport and Jennifer and Shawn Vogel of Saint Jo. He was preceded in death by his father, H.L. Dennis.

Tommy Ray Collier . . .
Mr. Tommy Ray Collier, age 73 of Saint Jo, Texas passed away on October 1, 2000 in Muenster Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Collier was born on January 23, 1927 in Saint Jo, Texas. He was a Veteran of World War II and a lifelong resident and rancher in Saint Jo and Montague County. He enjoyed people, traveling and especially woodworking before becoming ill in 1997.
Services were held on Monday, October 2, 2000 at The Chapel on Main Street (Old Presbyterian Church) in Saint Jo. Officiating clergyman was C.E. Cole. Burial was held in Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Survivors include one brother, Sam Collier of Wichita Falls; close friend, Weldon Martin of Saint Jo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Billie Perry Pace Collier.
Pallbearers were Weldon Dunn, Doug Gaston, Clyde Yetter, Cotton Brawner, Carl Chappell, and Leaton Phillips. Honorary pallbearers were Geral Don Goff, Jake Reimers, Billie Peery and Johnny Peery.

Mrs. Fern Howard, age 69 of Bowie passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2000 at Bowie Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Howard was born on August 28, 1931 in Spanish Fort, Texas. She was a homemaker.
Services were held on Friday, November 3, 2000 at 2:00 PM at Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Chapel in Bowie with the Rev. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial was held in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Ray Howard of Bowie; one daughter, Cathy Moore of Winslow, Arkansas; one son, T.R. Howard of Bowie, Texas; six grandchildren and one great grandson; one brother, Pete Goolsby of Henrietta, Texas; three sisters, Pearl Moore of Henrietta, Texas, Geraldine Fulfer of Wichita Falls, Texas and Gladys Crow of Stanton, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by one daughter, Linda Lorea Howard; two grandchildren, Tommy and Tammy Howard; and parents, Claude and Stella Goolsby.
Pallbearers were Joe Tom Clary, Jim Goolsby, Daniel Proctor, Eddie Goolsby, Don Henson, and Dale Proctor.
