Owen Allen Meyer
Owen Allen Meyer, 78, passed away Monday, December 13, in Bowie, TX.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church of Bowie with Clyde Markee and Colby Smith officiating, under the direction of White’s Family Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 til’ 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Bowie.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Bowie Lions Club.
Owen was born in Gainesville, TX on March 2, 1926 to Grover and Hattie Lou Cleveland. He married Malla Faye Zahn on December 19, 1946 in Wichita Falls. He served his country n the 82nd Airborne of the U.S. Army. In 1953, Owen bought into a small company in Bowie, which repaired oil field equipment and pumps. In 1955, the company originated the idea of building a rotary gear pump with rubber coated impellers and in 1958 patents were issued. In the 1960’s, they assisted in the development of the Bowie Hydro-Mulcher, a machine utilizing a Bowie pump, designed specifically to use wood cellulose fiber mulch. In the 1970’s, Owen became the sole person in charge of the company known as Bowie Industries, Inc., employing over 100 people. The Bowie Pumps and Hydro-Mulchers are now distributed throughout the United States and Canada and many destinations overseas. Owen received the “Man of the Year” Award from the Chamber of Commerce in 1975 and the “Lion of the Year” award in 1996-1997. He enjoyed working cattle on his ranch.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Grover and Hattie Lou Cleveland; brother, G.C. Meyer; and sister, Ola Mae Smith.
He is survived by: his wife, Faye Meyer of Chico; daughter, Carlotta Myers and her husband, Dean of Bowie; son Gary Meyer of Bowie; grandchildren, Jason Myers and his wife, Jerijean; Grant Myers; Gentry Myers; Aaron Meyer and Heath Myers, all of Bowie; one great-granddaughter, Analeise Myers; and close friends, Martha and Juan Ornelas of Chico.
Casket bearers will be Mark Drosche, Kevin Walker, Donald Morton, Brad Noble, Jim Terry, Bob Jones, Ray Burns and Clifford Deweber.
Honorary pallbearers will be The Bowie Lions Club and Bowie Industries employees.

David Ronald Lilley, Sr
David Ronald Lilley, Sr, age 62 of Nocona, TX passed away December 18, 2004 in a hospital in Dallas, TX.
Mr. Lilley was born September 24, 1942 in Jennings, LA to Jeff B. and Josephine Shelley Lilley. He married Kathy Mackey on August 24, 1968 in Paris, TX. After his time in the U.S. Army he was owner of Ron Lilley Insurance Agency. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nocona, TX, the Nocona Masonic Lodge #753 AF & AM and the Nocona Rotary Club. He was a Deacon of the First Baptist Church and served on numerous committees.
Funeral services for Mr. Lilley were held Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Smith officiating. Interment was at Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Kathy Lilley, Nocona, TX; one son, Dave Lilley, Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters, JoAnn Ball, Sanger, TX and Kay Norris, Fort Worth, TX; two brothers, Jeff B. Lilley, Jr. Hurst, TX and Robert Lilley, Dallas, TX.
Family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 511 Cooke St., Nocona, TX 76255.

Frances Elizabeth Lipscomb
Frances Elizabeth Lipscomb, age 84, of Nocona, TX passed away December 17, 2004 in the Horizon Manor Nursing Home in Nocona, TX.
Mr. Lipscomb was born October 31, 1920 to Sam Houston and Ethel Frances Clark. She married W.F. “Bill” Lipscomb. She was a graduate of North Texas State Teachers College, which is now UNT at Denton, and was a school teacher for Nocona schools, and also helped her husband as a retail merchant at Lipscomb’s Dry Goods. She was a founding member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as Elder, and was active in every aspect in the church. She was also a member in the Thursday Literary Club.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lipscomb were held Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Nocona with Rev. Shelly McNew officiating. Interment was at Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, W.F. “Bill” Lipscomb, Nocona, TX; one son, Richard and his wife, Carol Lipscomb, Fort Worth, TX; one daughter, Rita and her husband, Gerald Talley, Saint Jo, TX; five grandchildren; one brother, Winston and his wife, Lenera Clark, Lubbock, TX; and one sister in law, Angie Clark, Odessa. She was preceded in death by her brother, S.H. “Hoss” Clark and one grandson, Todd Talley.

Eunice Altogo Evans
Eunice Altoga Evans, age 96 of Bowie, TX passed away December 13, 2004 at the Bowie Nursing Center.
Mrs. Evans was born April 28, 1908 in Celeste, TX. She married Leon Evans on August 9, 1930 in Waurika, OK. She was a homemaker and owner of an alteration business and Merle Norman Cosmetics. She was a member of the Baptist faith, past member of Business and Professional Club and Bowie Chamber of Commerce.
Funeral services for Mrs. Evans were held Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church in Bowie, TX with Rev. Paul Henderson, Pastor Emeritus and Rev. Jim Turner officiating. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: three sisters, Ruth Wright, Bowie, TX, Naomi Young, Nashville, TX and Billie Jean Brigham, Red Oak, TX; one brother, Weldon Wright, Archer City, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Evans in 1982; one daughter, Nelda Fay Evans in 1940; two sisters, Letta Paregien and Robbie Wright; three brothers, Marion H. Wright Dodson Wright and P.L. Wright, Jr.

Jamie Lynn (Zwinggi) Yosten
Mass of Christian Burial for Jamie Lynn (Zwinggi) Yosten, 25 of Muenster was held 10:00 am Monday at St. Peters Church in Lindsay with Rev. Ron Scheible O.S.A. and Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A. officiating. Burial followed in Sacred Heart cemetery in Muenster under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster.
Jamie passed away at 9:50 pm Thursday, December 16, 2004 in Gainesville after a brief bout with cancer.
Jamie was born November 6, 1979 in Muenster. She attended school in Lindsay where she was an honor student, finishing salutatorian in her class. She played basketball, baseball, ran track, and was a member of the National Honor Society and the high school pep club while in high school. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Law and Order on television. She composed a poem that was published. After high school, Jamie attended the University of North Texas, graduating with honors with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.
Jamie married Jeffery Yosten on June 21, 2003 at St. Peters Church in Lindsay. She has lived in Muenster for about three years. She was a loving Mother and wife.
Survivors include: husband Jeffery of Muenster, daughter Ava Yosten of Muenster, mother Sherry Zwinggi of Muenster , father Danny Zwinggi of Muenster, grandparents Red and Joyce Zwinggi of Lindsay, grandmother Betty McCartney of Gainesville, brother Jeremy Zwinggi of Muenster, and three step-sisters, April Walterscheid and Jana Truebenbach of Muenster, and Amy Truebenbach of Dallas, and a step-brother Clayton Truebenbach of Muenster.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Fred McCartney
Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Zwinggi, Jeremy Yosten, Clint Case, Clayton Truebenbach, Mike Galvan, Tyler Zwinggi.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scholarship Fund Account for Ava Yosten at the Muenster State Bank.

Joe John Hill
Joe John Hill, age 96 of Sunset, TX passed away December 14, 2004 in the Arlington Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hill was born January 26, 1908 in Scottsboro, AL to Mike and Mannie Hill. He married Angie Belle in Waurika, OK in 1929. He has lived in Sunset, TX since 1949 and was retired from Wichita Construction. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Hill were held December 16, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Staub of Calvary Baptist Church in Decatur, TX officiating. Interment was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Dorothy Fielder, Decatur, TX and Barbara Miller, Bowie, TX; two sons, James Hill, Mountain City, and Bob Hill, Grand Prairie, TX; one sister, Lucille Shoemaker, Bowie, TX; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Mannie Hill; two brothers, Oz and Mack Hill; and spouse, Angie Belle.
Pallbearers include: Michael Hill, Greg Hill, Bobby Hill, Jeffery Hill, Brent Hodges, Zachary Berrier, Clay Griffith, Brad Griffith and Brandon McGar.
