Delano Thaxton Prigmore
Funeral services for Delano Thaxton Prigmore, 63, are set for 2:00 pm Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Muenster with Rev. Bill Ledbetter, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Coker Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home, Saint Jo.
Mr. Prigmore died at 9:40 pm on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at his residence.
He was born January 1, 1941 in Fort Worth to Thomas Thaxton and Valla Pearl Meredith Prigmore. He was self employed most of the time doing die work. He married Anita Jo Ann Kidwell in McKinney, TX on February 25, 1977. They have lived in the Saint Jo area since 1985.
Survivors include his wife Jo Ann, four daughters: Shelia Barnett of Saint Jo, Ammie Hennigan of Fort Worth, Meredith Stine of McKinney and Michelle Bayer of Muenster. Also surviving him is a step-daughter, LeAnn Clark of Pilot Point, nine Grandchildren, a sister, De Anne Willis of Pittsburg, TX, and his mother Valla Prigmore of Mt. Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Prigmore.
Pallbearers will be Scott Barnett, Ricky Hennigan, Tom Kidwell, Danny Kidwell, Hank Bayer, and Chris Hennigan.
Oleta May Reed
Oleta May Reed, age 85, of Saint Jo, TX passed away December 13, 2004 in the Nocona General Hospital in Nocona, TX.
Mrs. Reed was born March 3, 1919 in Montague County, TX to Samuel Vertie and “Bertie” Berter Lenora Agee Lough. She married John Day “Cap” Reed on October 23, 1991.
Funeral services for Mrs. Reed were held Friday, December 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Saint Jo, TX with C.E. Cole officiating. Interment was at Reed Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Doris and husband Jesus Hernandez, Saint Jo, TX; two sons, Jim and wife Ann Reed, Saint Jo, TX and John and his wife Mary Reed, Saint Jo, TX; twelve grandchildren; eighteen grandchildren; and one brother, Lloyd and his wife Ruth Lough, Denton, TX.
Walter Charles Talley
Walter Charles Talley, age 85 passed away December 14, 2004 at home in Bowie, TX.
Mr. Talley was born December 1, 1919 to William T. and Sibbie McCurry Talley in Ardmore, OK. He married Arva Crystelle Taylor on October 1, 1938 in Farmersville, TX. On October 1st they celebrated their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary. Walter was a manager for National Life and Accident Insurance Company.
Funeral services for Mr. Talley were held Friday, December 17, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the Drawing Room of the White Family Funeral Home with Reverend Sara Hardaway officiating. Arrangements under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will follow at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2004 at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Chris Talley of Bowie; son, Charles Talley and his wife, Jean of Bowie; grandchildren, Sean Talley and his wife, Lisa of Rome; Lisa Groves and her husband, Mark of Possum Kingdom; Michael Talley of Colgate, OK; Shayne Talley and his wife, Lisa of Colgate, OK; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, W.S. Talley of Kingston, OK; and step-brother, S.J. Douglas of Celeste, TX.
Casket Bearers will be Sean Talley, Mark Groves, Ollin Taylor, Ronald Brown, Bill Beasley, Michael Medford and Pete Robinson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sibbie Talley; son, Joe Mae Talley; and granddaughter, Vikki Talley.
Lucille J. Davis
Lucille J. Davis, age 86 passed away December 14, 2004 in Bowie, TX.
Lucille was born April 16, 1918 in Bowie to Gaston and Jessie Lee Jackson. She taught for thirty years with twenty-seven of them in the Bowie School District.
Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Bowie with Mike Henson officiating. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of White Family Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Cindy Benton and her husband, Kevin of Bowie, TX; grandchildren, Vanessa Meyer and her husband, Tommy, Bowie, TX; Ross Davis and his wife, Cari of Longview, TX. Matthew Davis and his wife, Claire of Amarillo, TX; Eric Benton of Waco, TX; Laura Benton of Bowie, TX; great-granddaughter, Sarah Davis of Longview, TX; sister, Opal Jackson of Bowie; and daughter in law, Velma Roth of Bowie, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Jessie Lee Jackson; husband, Carroll Davis; son, Jerry Davis; two brothers, Bill and Dale Jackson; and sister, Mable Hardison.

Jesse Connally “JC” Arnold
Jesse Connally “JC” Arnold, age 96 of Blacksburg, VA passed away December 25, 2004 in the Kroontje Health Care Center, in Blacksburg, VA.
Mr. Arnold was born May 9, 1908 in Blacksburg, VA to Jesse L. and Lillian (Connally) Arnold. He was married to Lillie Christine Stark for sixty-nine years. He was a civil servant at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX for many years moving from Wichita Falls, TX to Blacksburg, VA in 1996. He was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls, TX a master mason for fifty-seven years and served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Graveside services for Mr. Arnold were held Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at the Newport Cemetery with Rev. John Edwards officiating. Services under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: two sons, Jesse and his wife, Peggy ARnold, Blacksburg, VA and James “Jim” and his wife Joyce Arnold, Houston, TX; one brother, Robert and his wife, Laverne Arnold, Wichita Falls, TX; one sister, Birmah Malone, Wichita Falls, TX three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephew and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Christine Arnold; one brother, Luther Arnold, one sister, Helen Cowen and one grandson, James R. Arnold, Jr.

Wilburn Marion (Bill) Henley
Wilburn Marion (Bill) Henley, age 86 of Nocona, TX passed away December 26, 2004 in Nocona, TX.
Mr. Henley was born August 8, 1918 in Nocona, TX to Bedford and Helen Salmon Henley He married Lavelle Laird on February 2, 1944 in Ryan, OK. He was in the Army Air Corp during WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart with 2 Oak Leaf Cluster, distinguished Flying Cross, Distinguished Unit Badge with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, American Defense Service Medal, Rame Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Air Medal with 1 Oak Cluster and Good Conduct Medal. He was a rancher and had worked in the oil field.
Funeral services for Mr. Henley were held Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tommy Lamascus, and Jennifer Howard and Mike Boyd officiating. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Wood Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Marion Boyd and husband Mike, Evergreen, CO and Thelma Sue Henley, Spanish Fort, TX; one son, William H. Henley and wife, Nocona, TX; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Bedford Henley and wife, Pat, Mesquite, TX; special friends, Jennifer Mallory Howard and Douglas Mallory; and several nieces and nephews.

Ida Mae McLaughlin Caldwell
Ida Mae McLaughlin Caldwell, age 69, of Little Rock, AR passed away December 25, 2004 in Little Rock, AR.
Mrs. McLaughlin was born May 5, 1935 in Mr. Vernon, AR to Rev. Marvin Chester and Essie Arizona Satterwhite Walter. She married Elbert Caldwell in Little Rock, AR. She was a homemaker and at one time was a Pastor at the Shady Grove Church. She was, at one time a band setter at the Haggar factory in Bowie. She enjoyed gospel singing and enjoyed singing with the Nocona Hill Choir.
Funeral services for Mrs. Caldwell were held Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the Shady Grove Church with Rev. James Walter and Rev. Don Russell officiating. Interment was at the Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Scott Morris Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Elbert Caldwell, Little Rock, AR; her mother, Essie A. Sitterwhite, one son, Johnny and wife Gwendelyn Mclaughlin; two daughters, Lynn Leonard, Perkins, OK and Diane and husband, Rev. Don Russell, Perkins, OK; step children, Rev. Kenneth and wife Jo Caldwell, McGee, AR and Ida Marie and husband, Bud King; five granddaughters, Dana Russell and finance Brandon Wine, Bowie, TX, Kasey & Kandi Leonard, Perkins, OK; Angela Miller and husband, Michael, Perkins, OK and Ashely Russell, Perkins, OK; one grandson, Jeremy Russell, Perkins, OK; one great granddaughter, Shea Miller, Perkins, OK; four step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James (Gene) McLaughlin, and granddaughter, Cynitha Leann Russell.
Jimmie Lee “Jim” Reed
Jimmie Lee “Jim” Reed, 58, of Saint Jo, TX, passed away December 23, 2004 at Denton Regional Hospital.
He was born September 4, 1944 to John Day “Cap” Reed and Oleta May Lough Reed. He married Ann Huffman in August, 1963. Mr. Reed was retired from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department where he worked as a Game Warden.
Survivors include: his wife, Ann Reed of Saint Jo, TX; two children, daughter Tammy and husband Marc Graves of Bryson, TX and son Keith Reed of Haltom City, TX; one brother, John and wife Mary Reed of Saint Jo; one sister, Doris and husband Jesus Hernandez of Saint Jo; and four grandchildren, Jake & Kelly Reed of Haltom City and Scott & Paige Graves of Bryson.
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents.
