Mary Etta Chambers, 72, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Wake services will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Taylor Memorial Church of God in Christ, 1600 E. Fifth Avenue.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 312 N. 13th St., with Elder Willie Brown officiating and Pastor Ricky Walter as eulogist. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be James Blandford, Donnie Chambers, Darius Brown, Marcus Hines, Eddie Chambers, Marcello Brown, Tevin Newsom, Clyde Chambers and Jody Reese. Honorary pallbearers will be Deron Chambers, Paul Jones, Stacy Chambers, Marcus Jones, Jonathan Lyles, Charles Johnson, Kamar Chambers, Rayshawn Chambers and Ricky Walter II.
Mrs. Chambers was born March 18, 1930 in Coolidge. She was a member of Taylor Memorial Church of God in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Chambers; parents, Jeff and Susie Bradley; and brothers, Clyde Jones, Ray and Lozell Bradley.
Survivors include her daughters and spouses, Linda Chambers and Itha Chambers, Pauletta and Milton Jones, Sharon Williams, Darlene and John Pitts and Dorothy and Ricky Walter, all of Corsicana; sons and spouses, Eddie and Annie Chambers and Clyde and Cecelia Chambers of Corsicana, and Donnie and Synthia Chambers of Beaumont; brother, Roy Bradley of Corsicana; stepsister, Mattie Jones of Corsicana; 45 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.

Sue Hull Cox, 100, of Waco passed away Monday, June 3 in a Waco nursing home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wade Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Shugart officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hull, Kenneth Hull, Sidney Miller, Chris Miller, Scott Hendricks and Rayford Hull.
Mrs. Cox was born Nov. 16, 1901 in Clayton. She was the daughter of Jim and Josephine Hull of Dawson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hubbard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Cox; parents; sister, Agnes Thomas; and brothers, Grady Hull, Vernon Hull and Ted Hull.
Survivors include her nieces, Altha Sanders and Dorothy Carlton, both of Waco, Ouida Jo Miller of Troup, Mary Hellen Cook of Fort Worth and Marjorie Wells of Houston; and nephews, Robert Hull of Corsicana and Kenneth Hull of Dallas.

Margarett Miller, 56, of Trinidad passed away Saturday, June 1, 2002 in Athens.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tomlinson Funeral Chapel with Dr. Rocky Weatherford and Brother Irvin Anthony officiating. Interment will follow at Tool Cemetery.

She was born June 3, 1945 in Mineral Wells to Ray and Mary Alice Ingram. She was a longtime resident of Henderson County and was a member of Mankin Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Alice Ingram of Kerens; daughter, Angela Elaine Miller of Glendale, Ariz.; and a host of aunts, uncles, friends and other relatives.

Newton E. Burke, 78, of Corsicana, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2002 in Corsicana.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Linney officiating. Interment will follow at Post Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Phil Plunkett, Dale Wynn, Philip DeRoy, Joe Mattecheck, Gene Burke, Ryan Chambers and Gary Vadasy.
Mr. Burke was born July 18, 1923 in Corsicana and was a driller in the oilfield.
Mr. Burke was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Eva Burke and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Burke of Corsicana; sons, Jerry and Debbie Burke of Arlington and Mike and Sharon Burke of Sealy; daughter, Pam and Stan Chambers of Grand Prairie; brother-in-law, Riley Fullerton of Corsicana; sisters, Beulah and Clayton Arbach of South Dakota and Gloria and Dale Scruggs of Freeport; grandsons, Ryan and Ericka Chambers of Grand Prairie, John and Tamra Rich, Jared Chambers of Grand Prairie, Jeremy Burke of Sealy and Zach Rich; granddaughters, Adriene Nicole and Philip DeRoy of Mesquite and Christine Burke of Sealy; great-grandsons, Robert Martinez of Grand Prairie, Matthew Chambers of Grand Prairie and Zackary Deroy of Mesquite and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pauline Eidson, 90, of Corsicana passed away Friday, May 31, 2002, in Corsicana.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. today at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nancy Schusler officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery at 4 p.m. today in Hamilton.
Honorary pallbearers were C.A. Bid Sheets, Jim Howell, Lewis Mathison, Otis Dunagan, Dewy Gordon, Franklin Neal, Bill Harrison, the Rev. Kenneth Bass, Don Taylor, Carl Hall, Bob Kral, Zak Boyd and Leland Kattner.
Mrs. Eidson was born Dec. 5, 1911 in Adamsville. She was a housewife.
She passed away at Twilight Home. Her heart gave out and she went to be with the Lord. She was a member of Central Methodist Church and worked as a pink lady for eight years in the old hospital. She was a member of Merak Temple No. 104 in Waco, Daughter of the Nile and Past Matron of Corsicana Chapter No. 118 Order of Eastern Star. She also loved to bowl.
Survivors include beloved friend, Wayne Mays of Lemon Grove, Calif.; daughter, Reta Patricia and Herman Gillen of Corsicana; sisters, Irene Sargent of Iowa Park, Ada Kalina of Solvang, Calif., Nada Sullivan of Granbury and Fay Oglesby of Hamilton; grandson and wife, Danny and Terri Gillen of Corsicana, granddaughters, Paula and Eric Trojacek of Ennis and Rhetta Wasinger of Emhouse; great-granddaughters, Amie Gillen, Katie Gillen and Misty Gillen, all of Corsicana, and Amanda Crawford of Ennis; great-grandsons, Jeremy Crawford of Emhouse, Cody Trojacek of Ennis, Jacob Wasinger of Emhouse and Dalton Wasinger of Emhouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Barnwell Rhett Eidson Jr.; son, Knighten Rhett Eidson; and grandson, Randy Gillen.

Bobby Jean Wilson, 74, of New Caney and formerly of Hardin (Old Snake River), passed away Monday, June 3, 2002 at his residence.

Mr. Wilson was born Dec. 7, 1927 in Doniphant, Ark. He and his wife Ruby traveled throughout the United States while working for Brown and Root until he retired in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence L. and Mary Francis Wilson; sisters, Irene Carmickel, Jewell Brooks, Zella Mae Bland; and brothers, Tom Wilson and Boyd Wilson; and grandson, Donald Carl Beamon Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Ruby Faye Wilson of New Caney; son, Tony Wilson of Searcy, Ark.; daughters, Jeannie Lyles of Searcy, Ark. and Ella Mae Matthews of Houston; daughter-in-law, Melva Beamon of Houston; sisters, Minnie M. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount B Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Betts as eulogist and the Rev. Nathaniel Carter, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Goodlow Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wilbur Silas Jr., Tyrone Martin, Virgil Johnson, Ernest Harris Jr., Otis Tolliver and James Martin.
Mr. Thompson was born April 11, 1904 in Kerens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Pearl Thompson; sisters, Margarite Green and Cecil Armstrong; brothers, Roosevelt Thompson; son, Willie C. Thompson; daughter, Bertha Tolliver; grandson, Timothy Thompson; and great-grandson, Jaylon Faulk.
Survivors include his sons, Sampie Thompson Jr. and wife Dorothy of Fort Worth and Oscar Lee Thompson of Kerens; daughters, Winnie Woods of Dallas, Reba Silas and husband Wilbur of Fort Worth, Sandra Harris and husband Ernest of Kerens; 31 grandchildren including special granddaughter Pamela Mitchell and husband Ruben of Dallas; 61 great-grandchildren, 40 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
