Louise Jordan
Louise Jordan, 75, of Waco passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 in a Waco hospital.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wade Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard.
Mrs. Jordan was born May 25, 1927 in Mertens. She attended Cottonwood Grammar School and was a 1944 graduate of Malone High School. She was a retired employee of Owens Brockway Glass Company in Waco. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Jordan; brother, James Homer Howard; and a great-granddaughter, Brittney Michelle Holland.
Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Harley of Waco, Patricia Bettinger of Lorena and Kay Morgan of Waco; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Katherine Brown
Katherine Brown, 98, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002 in Corsicana.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Young officiating. Internment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 18, 1904 in Corsicana and lived most of her life in Kilgore where she worked as a secretary to Jenkins and Ligett. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kilgore, an accomplished pianist and past president of the Women's Literary Club. After moving back to Corsicana, she became a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by sister Eloise Barton and mother Clara Jenkins.
Survivors include her brothers, Carbel Neal Jenkins of Lucas and James C. Jenkins of Pasadena; and nieces, Mary Katherine Stroube of Houston, Carla Miller of Lucas and Jean Risinger of Pasadena.

Bobby Gene Coker
Bobby Gene Coker, 68, of Houston began his journey with his Lord Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002.
Services will be 4 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home with Dr. Gary W. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Long Prairie Cemetery near Kerens.
Pallbearers will be David Coker, Jeff Coker, Jim Coker, Gary Paul, Adron Paul and Marvin Paul.
Mr. Coker was born July 3, 1934 in Eureka. In 1953 he moved to Houston and began his 44 years of employment with Cameron Iron Works, retiring in 1996. He was a devoted and generous family man that will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Annie Coker; brothers, Winston Coker and O.E. Coker; and sister-in-law, Patsy Coker.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Ethelene (Paul) Coker; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby D. "Donny" and Amy and Larry Gene and Teri, all of Houston, Roger Dale and Jan of Granbury; sisters, Lois McCary of Houston, Betty Sanches and Genevie Paul, both of Corsicana, and Lillie Laney of Athens; brothers, Floyd Coker of Houston, Clinton "Jelly" Coker of Richland and Jimmy D. Coker of Navarro; grandchildren, Kevin, Katherine, Steven, Austin, Carling, Amber, Brooke and Courtney; former daughter-in-law, Liz; and numerous other family members and friends.

Joe D. York
Joe D. York, 73, of Corsicana passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2002 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike Alexander officiating.
Mr. York was born Dec. 17, 1928 in Wellington to R.E. and Agnes Summy York. The family moved to Corsicana from Waco when he was 8 years old. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1945.
He attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a B.B.A. degree. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and attended officer candidate school at Lackland Air Force Base, graduating as a second lieutenant in December 1949. He spent 24 years in the U.S. Air Force both on active duty and as a reserve officer. He logged over 9,000 flying hours and retired as a lieutenant colonel.
Mr. York returned to Corsicana in 1960 where he followed his father into the family business, Joe York Furniture Company. He owned and operated the store until 1991 when he retired and closed the store.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Alan York in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Lewis York; son, Stephen Lewis York; granddaughter, Hilary York; grandson, Cameron York; brother and sister-in-law, Gerry and Polly York; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

James Oliver King
James Oliver King, 78, passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 after an extended illness.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Corley's Funeral Home with the Rev. B.F. Risinger officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial.
Pallbearers will be Ross Maxfield, Ed Blackburn, Kenneth Wylie, James Hunt, David Wansley and Don Woodcock. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Coggins, Loyd Morehead and Kenneth Stone.
Mr. King was born April 23, 1924. A veteran of WWII, he served in the Air Force with duty in Japan. After his discharge in 1946, he returned to Corsicana and built and operated King's Foods for 20 years. He retired from the food business in 1967 and entered the Real Estate business, developing housing subdivisions both in Corsicana and Cedar Creek. Mr. King served as president of the Builder's Association, was a longtime member of the Rotary Club and a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and LaBelle King; sisters, Patty King Mesker and Zelda King Curtis; brothers, Charles King and Van King.
Mr. King is survived by his wife, Frances King; son, Ronald King and wife Peggy of Roane; daughter, Carol King Wansley and husband David of Tampa, Fla.; sister-in-law, Delores Morehead and husband Loyd of Colleyville; grandchildren, Laura Bailey and husband Ed of Apollo Beach, Fla., Kerri King Wright and husband Kyle of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Kory King of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Corsicana.

Barbara Sue Hagle
Barbara Sue Hagle, 67, of Dawson passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002 at Providence Hospital.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Dawson with the Rev. David Fergeson and the Rev. Brad Brittain officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gene Carver, Ray Rogers, Gus Clark, Ryan Walters, Jeffrey Murray and Brandon Hagle.
Mrs. Hagle was born Sept. 29, 1935 in Corsicana and was a 1953 graduate of Corsicana High School. She had lived in Dawson since 1975 and prior to that had lived in Corsicana. Mrs. Hagle was a self-employed beautician until she retired in 1978. She enjoyed gardening and quilting, and she and her husband owned the Navarro Drive-In Theater in Corsicana for over 33 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dawson.
Survivors include her husband, Buel Lee Hagle of Dawson; daughter, Becky Walters and husband Richard of Dawson; sons, Jeff Murray and wife Elsa of Mesquite, Harold Hagle of San Augustine and Terry Hagle of Washington, D.C.; sister, Edith Forgy of Grand Prairie; and grandchildren, Ryan Walters of Dawson, Brandon Hagle of San Augustine, Jeffrey Murray of Corsicana, Cody Cisneros of Mesquite and Theresa Edwards of Corsicana.

John W. Bryant, 56, of Fort Worth passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2002.
He was born March 23, 1946 in Terrell. He was a self-employed security officer.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Kathy Bryant of Fort Worth; sons, Donald J. Bryant of North Richland Hills and Jerry J. Bryant of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Ashlee, Terri Anne, Robin, Christopher and Crystal.

William Doyle Brown, Sr.
William Doyle Brown, Sr., 91, of Hubbard passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 at a Mexia hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Irvin officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Prue, Terry Brown, Mike Brown, Kyle Brown, Alvah Brown and Justin Brown.
Mr. Brown was born Sept. 24, 1911 in Hubbard. He was a lifelong resident of Hubbard and a longtime farmer and rancher. He also worked as a groundskeeper at McLennan Community College in Waco and enjoyed Hubbard Jaguar football. He was affiliated with First United Methodist Church of Hubbard.
He was preceded in death by wife Joda Addice Collier Brown, son Don Collier Brown, granddaughter Sona Dea Brown, daughter-in-law Frankie Brown and four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include sons W.D. Brown Jr. of Waco, Jan Elvis Brown and wife Linda of Burleson and Tommy Doyle Brown and wife Louise of Austin; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Roy Sanders, 68, of Kerens passed away Oct. 4, 2002 in Kerens.

Mr. Sanders was born April 13, 1934 in Corsicana.
Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife, Glenda Sanders of Kerens; sons, Scott Sanders of Kerens, Keith Clark of Richland, John Clark of Kerens, and Bill clark and Bob Clark, both of Oklahoma; daughters, Carrie Clark and Sandra Young, both of Arkansas, Candy Ratcliff and Clara Martin, both of Corsicana, Connie Goff of Kansas, and Ann Childress and Ronnie Wyczenski, both of Oklahoma; brother, Rick Franks of Athens; sisters, Katherine Schultz and Judy K.
