Gary Eugene Hickey
Gary Eugene Hickey, 52, of Flint passed away Friday, May 24, 2002 at Hospice Home Place in Tyler.
Services are pending with Hilliard Funeral Home in Van. Bro. Terry Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Mr. Hickey was born Dec. 2, 1949 in Big Spring. He was a 1968 graduate of Corsicana High School, a 1970 graduate of Navarro College and a member of the Church of Christ. He worked for Brookshire's for 26 years, serving as store director in Wills Point for 17 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Victor Hickey.
Mr. Hickey is survived by wife Jane Hickey of Flint; son Jeffrey Hickey and daughter Gena Hickey, both of Flint; nephew Mark Hickey; and grandchildren Cory and Kinsey Hickey of Flint.

Jonnie Neal
Jonnie Neal, 87, of Corsicana passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2001 at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home West.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Paschal Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Paschal Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow at Kerens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
Mrs. Neal was born Jan. 17, 1914 in Kerens.
Survivors include her son, Richard J. Tidwell of Dallas; stepsons, Gerry Neal of Frisco and Thomas Neal of Houston; brother, Wayne Arnett of Houston; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Thomas Fletcher Stevenson
Thomas Fletcher Stevenson, 91, who resided at the Royal Plaza Retirement Center in Lewiston, Idaho and formerly of Hays, Kan., went to be with the Lord Nov. 28, 2001.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Frost United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Schusler officiating.
Mr. Stevenson was born Jan. 24, 1910 in Itasca to Thomas W. Stevenson and Lessie Caldwell Stevenson. He graduated from Frost High School, and was a veteran of World War II serving in the 411th U.S. Army Medical Corps in the South Pacific. He was employed by F.W. Woolworth Co. for 47 years as a retail store manager in New Mexico, Texas, Nebraska and Kansas with his longest tenure of 17 years in Great Bend, Kan. Mr. Stevenson married Mildred Elizabeth Goodman Dec. 25, 1942. He was 50-year member of the American Legion and a 65-year member of Kiwanis International. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and thoroughly enjoyed a life of service to others through SCORF, Masons, Sunday school, Methodist Men and various services for the elderly. He will forever be remembered as a loving Christian husband, father, brother and uncle.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mildred Elizabeth Goodman Stevenson; daughter, Susan Mann of Lewiston, Idaho; son, John Stevenson and wife Colleen of Rockledge, Fla.; loving grandchildren, Shelleigh Mann Beeson and husband Kevin of Lewiston, Idaho, Shawn Mann and wife Jill of Portland, Ore., Mark Stevenson of Gainesville, Fla. and Michelle Stevenson of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandson who was his pride and joy, Aidan Beeson of Lewiston, Idaho; and sisters, Mary Hill Stevenson Warren of Frost and Louise Stevenson Bain of Mexia.

Mary Eleanor Gable Wilkison
Mary Eleanor Gable Wilkison, 90, of Albuquerque, N.M. passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001 at Laurel View Healthcare Center of Albuquerque.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Dawson with the Rev. John Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilkison was born Jan. 26, 1911 in Dawson. She had lived in Albuquerque since 1998. Prior to that she had lived in Dallas for two years, Mesquite for two years, Mineral Wells for three years, Eastland for 11 years and Carlsbad, N.M. for 44 years. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ester Wilkison on Oct. 5, 1996; sister, May Lacy; and brothers, Joe, Boy Ed, Gene and Barton Gable.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Mackey of Dallas; son, David E. Wilkison of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers, George Henry Gable of Houston and Bobby Dan Gable of Nevada; three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Dawson.

Dartanian James Walker Sullivan
Dartanian James Walker Sullivan, 10 months, of Red Oak and formerly of Dawson, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at a Lancaster hospital.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Dawson Cemetery with Bishop Gary Clark officiating.
He was born Jan. 6, 2001 in Corsicana. He attended Waxahachie Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his father, Scot Anthony Sullivan of Red Oak; mother, Rachel Ann Bivins Sullivan of Red Oak; paternal grandmother, Tricia Bradley of Red Oak; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Glen and Jadean Sullivan of Dawson; maternal grandparents, Tim and Deborah Bivins of Purdon; brothers, Kevin Scot Sullivan of Palmer, Sabastian Anthony Sullivan and Kragan Drake Sullivan, both of Red Oak; sister, Crystal Megan Sullivan of Palmer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cecil Lamar "Tex" Melton, 79, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at his residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Dr. David Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery.
Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Melton was born Oct. 6, 1922 in Dresden to James Grover and Amanda Lou Melton. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was an auto repairman and a member of the Odd Fellows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Melton of Corsicana; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and David Boulter, Clara and Robert Machal and Deborah and David Knavel; sons, Brent Melton and Mike Melton; brothers, Dean Melton and Grover S. Melton; sisters, Lorean McCulloch and Syble Malone; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barney Alvin Richards, 86, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Dale Leggett officiating. Interment will follow at Pattison Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandnephew Tim Nicholson. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Greer, Ray Jacobs, Willie Wiese, Jody Rodgers, Jelly Luther and Jessie Prater.
Mr. Richards was born Nov. 9, 1915 in Emhouse to Frank W. and Minnie Mary Richards. He was a lifetime resident of Corsicana. He married Essie Hunter June 7, 1943 in Corsicana. He worked for Stroud and Stell as a truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes and watching baseball at Beebe Field. He was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, W.J. "Skeeter" Richards and E.H. "Ruck" Richards; and sisters, Dora Luther and Marie Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Essie Hunter Richards of Corsicana; children, Buddy and Wanda Richards and Billy and Sharon Richards, all of Corsicana, and James and Beverly Richards of Maypearl; grandchildren, Joey Richards and wife Shelia, Chad Richards and wife Jerri, Shane Richards and Billy Jr. Richards, all of Corsicana, Scott Richards of Dallas and Kristy Richards of Maypearl; great-grandchildren, Brooke Richards, Hagen Richards and Chesney Richards; brothers, Clyde Richards and Dorsey Richards, both of Corsicana; sister, Dorothy Fuller of Cedar Creek; and many nieces and nephews.

Ella Billie Robinson
Ella Billie Robinson, 86, of Streetman passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at Fairview Manor Nursing Home in Fairfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Macedonia Baptist Church, corner of Ross and Marsh streets, Streetman, with the Rev. Joe D. Hubbard Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Streetman.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Packer, Bennie Robinson, Curtis Robinson and Willie Jackson.
She was born July 25, 1915 in Streetman. She was a member of the Field Court No. 381 Heroines of Jericho in Streetman. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church until her health failed. She loved her church and would look forward to Wednesday night and Sunday services.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain G. Robinson and Bessie Robinson; and brothers, Jimmie L. Robinson and Fred Robinson.
Survivors include her son, Roosevelt Taylor and wife Malinda of Dallas; sisters, Lou Brown and Shirley Hart, both of Dallas, and Bessie Robinson of Fairfield; brothers, Melvin Robinson and wife Ruby of Dallas, Clint Robinson and wife Mae Frances and Curtis Robinson, all of Streetman, and Bennie Robinson and wife Brenda of Fairfield; sister-in-law, Pearl B. of Dallas; a host of nieces including Jannie Sanford and husband Ron of Plano, nephews and cousins.

Harriett Ann Finch Curington
Harriett Ann Finch Curington, 62, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 at her residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jimmy Finley and the Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andrew McMullon, Forrest Green, Bob Parrish, Harry Hudson, David Ricker, Bill Johnson, Rudy Carroll, Liston Herod, Mike Kaster and Chip Curington.
Mrs. Curington was born Nov. 2, 1938 in Jonesboro, Ark. to John S. and Sarah Finch. She graduated from Corsicana High School and Texas Christian University, and held a master's degree from Southwest Texas State University. She married Paul W. Curington Dec. 7, 1991 in Corsicana. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Corsicana and active in the Emmaus movement. Mrs. Curington taught elementary school for 30 years, retiring from Alamo Heights Independent School District of San Antonio in 1990 after 25 years there. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, and was always thinking of others. Her generosity of spirit and sweet smile will stay in her family's memory forever.
Mrs. Curington is survived by her parents, John and Sarah Finch of Corsicana; husband, Paul W. Curington of Corsicana; stepdaughters, Sally Ann Curington Martinez and husband Pete of Helotes and Amy Caroline Curington Bone and husband Mike of Highland Village; grandchildren, Jennifer McGinnis and Wesley McGinnis, both of Corsicana, and Peter Martinez of Helotes; son-in-law, Matt McGinnis of Corsicana; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
