Margaret Annetta Lincoln
Margaret Annetta Lincoln, 77, of Temple passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at her residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at Eureka Cemetery in Navarro County.
Mrs. Lincoln was born Aug. 19, 1925 in Dallas to Edward E. and Mabel A. Oman Robinson. She was a 1942 graduate of Adamson High School in Dallas. She married Roy E. Lincoln in 1945.
She had been employed at Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas, Publishers Guild, South Oak Cliff State Bank and Dallas Commercial Warehouse, retiring in 1994 when she moved to the Golden Haven Apartments in Temple.
She was a former member of Oak Cliff Christian Church, South Cliff Christian Church and South Oak Cliff American Legion. She enjoyed Texas road trips to see wildflowers, fishing, oil painting, music, reading, pet cats and dogs, and wildlife where she hand fed whitetail deer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Arthur Robinson and James Robinson.
Survivors include her sons, Donald Richard and wife Kathy of Lago Vista and Warren Douglas and wife Susan of Salado; grandsons, Gregory, Darren, Aaron, Shaw and Alex; step grandson, Chad Crosby of Atlanta; granddaughter, Ashley; and sister, Doris Edwards and husband James of Canton.

Fred Crockett
Fred Crockett, 60, of Fairfield passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, in Mexia.
Services were 10 a.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating. Interment followed at the Crockett family cemetery in Butler.
Pallbearers were Randy Robinson, Sonny Wills, Barry Capps, Jim Sneed, Trozy Davenport, Charles Myers, Eric Melvin and James Myers. Honorary pallbearers were Barney Crouch and Hugh Reed.
Mr. Crockett was born Nov. 13, 1942 in Ripplemead, Va. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Major and Christine Crockett.
Survivors include his son, Michael Crockett of Fairfield; daughters, Michelle McGuire of Corsicana and Beverly Franek of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Danford
Dorothy Danford, 84, of Dawson passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Navarro Regional Hospital.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with the Rev. Brad Brittain officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson Cemetery.
Mrs. Danford was born May 14, 1918, in Dawson. She was a lifelong resident of Dawson and worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. She had worked for the old P&S Hospital in Corsicana, Dr. A. Grizzaffi, the Head Start program in Corsicana, and the Hubbard Hospital before retiring. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert J. Danford in 1981.
Survivors include her daughters, Luann Cornett of Bossier City, La., and Joyce Lawrence of Dawson; sister, Audrey Holt of Pasadena; granddaughters, Pam Reeder of Purdon, Suzanne Hasse of Fort Worth and Tracy Hasse of Corsicana; great-granddaughters, Molly and Emma Reeder of Purdon; and niece, Claudia Roye of Pasadena.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Dawson Cemetery Association.

Charlie B. Dowell
Charlie B. Dowell, 52, of Malakoff passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at his residence.
Wake services will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Petersburg Baptist Church, 301 Margaret Drive, Kerens.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Petersburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Dowell officiating. Interment will follow at Steen Cemetery in Malakoff.
Pallbearers will be nephews, great-nephews and Maurice Spencer. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family and brothers-in-law.
Mr. Dowell was born Aug. 12, 1950 in Kaufman. He was a lover of animals and loved to read. Through the years, he had various occupations such as cashier/clerk at Stop N Go in Dallas and Lakeside Store in Caney City. Also, at one time he was employed as a security guard.
He was preceded in death by his son, Derrick; father, Frank Dowell; and brother, Jessie Dowell.
Survivors include his son, Charlie B. Jones of Dallas; daughter, Elana Jones of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; mother, Ora Mae Dowell of Caney City; sisters, Gloria Mosley and husband Herman and Eva Coleman and husband L.C., all of Fort Worth, Myrtle Henderson and husband Clyde of Malakoff, Francis Walker of Athens and Ora Nell Dowell of Caney City; brothers, the Rev. Robert Dowell and wife Yolanda of Fort Worth, Nathaniel Dowell and James Dowell, both of Caney City, and David Dowell and wife Pam of Kerens; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carrole Sue Donihoo, 52, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Seton Hospital in Austin.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Steward's Mill Cemetery in Freestone County, with Rev. Robert Shipley officiating.
Mrs. Donihoo was born on July 16, 1951, in Navarro County.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Mr. John Michael and Teresa Parnell of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law David and Sabrina Parnell of Jacksonville, Fla.; son Keith Edward Vitek of San Antonio; brother Douglas Fogg of New York, N.Y.; sister Mildred Faye Walker of Dallas; granddaughters Brianna, Courtney, Kimberley and Caitlyn Parnell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Erin Freeman of Corsicana, and grandsons Nathan and Clayton Parnell of Corsicana.

Ike Sherrouse
Ike Sherrouse, 57, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore.
Mr. Sherrouse was born Nov. 18, 1945 in Porter to Roy C. Sherrouse and Virgie Emmons Sherrouse. He was a fireman in Houston for many years before his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Sherrouse of Corsicana; son, Sean Sherrouse of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Julie Sherrouse of Blooming Grove; grandson, Clayton; mother, Virgie Sherrouse of Livingston; brothers, Bob Sherrouse and wife Maxie and Clifford Sherrouse and wife Pat, all of Porter, and Tony Sherrouse and wife Jody of Leakey; and sisters, Virginia Matthews and husband Robert of Conroe and Loretta Sherrouse of Louisiana.

Della Mae Johnson, 60, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at M.R. Smith Parlor for Funerals.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church with Bishop John Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 9, 1942 in Dallas.
Survivors include her son, R.C. Murphy of Corsicana; daughter, Patricia Cumby of Corsicana; grandchildren, Dennis Cumby, Davon Cumby, Curtis Cumby and Crystal Cumby, all of Corsicana; several great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Elvice Brooks Barr
Elvice Brooks Barr, 77, of Bothell, Wash., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2002, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.
Burial of ashes will take place Saturday, Dec. 7, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Barry United Methodist Church. A memorial service was also held Nov. 26 in Bothell, Wash. at Bothell United Methodist Church.
She was born March 19, 1925 in Barry and resided there until 1956, when she moved to the Seattle, Wash. area. She was a very kind-hearted person, loved by all who knew her. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and will be warmly remembered. She loved people, nature, travel and gardening. After 25 years as a full-time mom and homemaker, she was employed by the University of Washington Alumni Association until her retirement in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, James Randall Barr; parents, Lalia Ann and John "Jack" Brooks; and her children's father, James Doyle Barr.
Survivors include her son, Gary Barr of Wimberley; daughters, Gail Riccetti and husband Ron of Edmonds, Wash. and Cheryl Kellogg and husband Keith of Bothell, Wash.; grandchildren, Michael Hoban of Bothell, Wash. and Suzi Farris and husband Clint of Bothell, Wash.; brother, the Rev. Dr. Ray Brooks and wife Mickey of Henderson; sisters, Tommye Hall and husband Earl of Haltom City and Vida Hughes of Dallas; extended family, Mike Butler of Wimberley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
