Martha Louise Eppler, 77, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001 at her residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. Teri Hildebrand officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Eppler, Gary Eppler, Jeffery Eppler, Lee Eppler, Wicky Eppler, Mike Eppler and Donnie White.
Mrs. Eppler was born March 17, 1924 in Davis, Okla. to William and Edna Eddington. She worked for many years in the cafeteria for the Corsicana Independent School District.
Mrs. Eppler is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Alton and Martha Eppler of Baytown and Travis Glen and Kathaleen Eppler of Missouri City; grandchildren, Greg and Teresa Eppler of Baytown and Gary and Carla Eppler, all of Baytown, and Jeffery Eppler and Rebecca Eppler, both of Missouri City; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Eppler, Andrew Eppler and Celeste Eppler; brother, Sam Eddington and wife Iva of Bakersfield, Calif. and sister, Betty Self of Nacogdoches.

Moreta E. Slaughter, 92, of Corsicana passed away Friday, March 30, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. B.F. Risinger officiating. Interment will follow at Younger Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Charles Peden, Hubert Slaughter and Carl York. Honorary pallbearer will be C.E. Thomas.
Mrs. Slaughter was born Jan. 21, 1909 in Purdon to John Melton and Carrie Mae Thomas. She worked for many years at Tex-Sun Glove Company as a sewing machine operator.
Mrs. Slaughter is survived by her husband, G.A. Slaughter of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Earlene Slaughter of Gun Barrel City; granddaughters, Donna Green and George of Corsicana, Teresa and Nick Hargrave of Silsbee; grandson, Bruce and Shannon Slaughter of Haughton, La.; great-grandchildren, Erika and Bryan Franklin and April Welch, all of Corsicana, Taylor Hargrave and Coby Hargrave, both of Silsbee, and Hannah Slaughter and Ross Slaughter of Haughton, La.

Kacy Lynn Robertson, infant, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Lake Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Moore officiating.
She was born March 27, 2001 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.

Herman R. Ramey
Herman R. Ramey, 65, of Mesquite passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2001 in Dallas.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Cambell-Elrod Cemetery with Brother Bill Honea officiating.
Mr. Ramey was born April 25, 1935 in Humphrey, Ark. He served one tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force and received a National Defense Service medal. He worked for Boise of Dallas for more than 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Dycus Ramey.
Mr. Ramey is survived by his daughters, Rosa Christie of Dallas and Juanita Gostowski of Bay City; brother-in-law, John Dycus of Mesquite; sister-in-law, Lola Manry of Navasota; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Maggie Lean Tarver
Maggie Lean Tarver, 91, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, March 29, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ross and Johnson Mortuary.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Grace Temple AME Church, 402 E. 14th Ave., with the Rev. Cynthia Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.

She was born April 22, 1909 in Oakwood.
She is survived by her daughters, Louise Sansell of Corsicana and Joyce Yeldell and husband Ray of Mexia; grandchildren, Michael Williams and wife Regina of Lancaster, Barbara j. Martin and husband James of Chicago, Ill. and Patricia A. Diatta and husband Allsone of Pamona, N.Y.; and six great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth A. Reed, 72, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2001.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North of San Antonio.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North with the Rev. J. Paul Tisdel officiating. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North.
Mrs. Reed was born Nov. 1, 1928. She was a native of Edinburg, a former resident of McAllen and had lived in San Antonio since 1950. In 1948, she was a valedictorian of the graduating class of Edinburg High School. She was a member of Edinburg Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Reed Jr.
Survivors include her sons, Albert Reed of Corsicana, Robert Reed of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Richard Reed of San Antonio; sisters, Lucille Blackwell of McAllen, Lois Ledford of Houston, Phyllis Scott of LaVernia and Margaret Bishop of Edinburg; grandchildren, Jennifer Frazier of Siloam Springs, Ark., Rebekah Reed of Spartanburg, S.C. and Mary Elizabeth Reed of College Station.

Aubrey Arnold Hodge
Aubrey Arnold Hodge, 79, of Malakoff passed away Monday, March 26, 2001 at an Athens hospital.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Tomlinson Funeral Chapel. The masons and the VFW veterans will provide rites and honors at the graveside.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Rogers, Randy Monroe, Gary Howard, Tony Chandaris, Ricky Baker and Dennis Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Mr. Hodge was born Feb. 28, 1922 in Chitister, Ark. He married Wanda Lee Stovall Aug. 26, 1948 in Dallas. Mr. Hodge was the owner and operator of AA Hodge Construction Company for 53 years, retiring in 1990. He was a residential home builder. He served in the Army/Air Force during World War Ii as a first lieutenant. His specialties were in navigation and radar bombardier. He navigated B17 and B29 aircraft over land and seas by use of dead reckoning, pilotage and celestial methods. He was a member of the Methodist faith. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 56 Tannehill in Dallas and the VFW Post No. 4376 in Seven Points.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Wanda Lee Stovall Hodge on Feb. 6, 1989; parents, Charles Newton "Charlie" and Dora Belle Scott Hodge; and sister and brother-in-law, Lee and Charles Fulling.
Mr. Hodge is survived by his sons, Charles Aubrey "Chuck" Hodge of Titusville, Fla. and Michael Charles Hodge of Malakoff; daughters, Donna Marie Hodge of Round Rock, Sonja Darlene Hodge Baker of Malakoff and Pat Hodge Hustead of Cross Roads; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bobbie Sue Stewart
Bobbie Sue Stewart, 57, of Streetman passed away Monday, March 26, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Porter Chapel in Wortham with Minister Danny Ray Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Cade Cemetery near Streetman.
Pallbearers will be Paul Dunn, Michael Dunn, David Wright, Johnny Wright, Donnie Lord, James Gilliam, Kenneth Richardson and Donovan Richardson.
Mrs. Stewart was born Feb. 26, 1944 in Donie. She was owner and operator of Bobbie Sue's Cafe in Wortham for many years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmie Lee Miller; father, Jesse Miller; and grandson, Trace Christian.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, Don Stewart of Streetman; daughter, Tammy Perry of Blooming Grove; sons, Lawton Stewart of Streetman and Steven Stewart of Kirvin; sisters, Lockett Chandler of Sweeney, Verdell Kramer of Waxahachie, and Patsy Johnson, Gloria Murphey and Carolyn Dunn, all of Wortham; and brothers, Sonny "K.D." Richardson of Teague and Danny Ray Richardson of Streetman; six grandchildren, and 22 nieces and nephews.

Odia Templeton, 86, of Malakoff passed away Saturday, March 24, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Athens.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Corinth CME Church, 120 N. Havana St., Malakoff, with the Rev. Joe Radford officiating. Interment will follow at Steen Cemetery in Malakoff.
Pallbearers will be Frank Templeton, Dr. Joe McCalister, Steven Templeton, Joseph Templeton, Rickey McCalister and William Dawson. Honorary pallbearers will be Spiavia "Tippie" Templeton, the Rev. Michael Templeton, the Rev. Willie McCalister, Floyd Johnson, Charles Sheffield and stewards of New Hope Corinth CME Church.
She was born March 15, 1915 in Kilgore.
She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Warnett Allen, Eunice Brown, Frankie Templeton, Durwood Templeton, Emmitt Templeton, Harvey Templeton, Lewis Templeton, Marvin Templeton, Tom Templeton and Spiavia Templeton.
Survivors include her sisters, Vee McCalister of Malakoff, Fleda Morrell and Dorothy Templeton of Houston; brother, Boyd Templeton of Houston; two special nieces, Renell Jordan and Faresa Dawson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
