Claudia Estelle Goff Mays (Gladys Faye Mays), 61, of Dallas passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at Burning Bush Baptist Church, 4943 Bonnie View, Dallas, with the Rev. Johnny Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Dallas.
Mrs. Mays was born April 26, 1940 in Kerens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Goff and Lillian M. Hurd; sisters, Louise and Jessie; husband, Alton Mays Jr.; son, Myron E. Mays.
Mrs. Mays is survived by her uncle, James Hurd; brothers, Alton Goff, Afton Goff and Ray A. Goff; sister-in-law, Lois Goff; niece, Joyce Chandler; nephew, David Crittendon; sons, Akeem A. Jami and Dwight G. Mays and wife Vicki R. Mays; daughters, Pamela K. Hill, Gloria B. Cook, Ceylon R. Mays, and Connie F. Mays; special family and friends, Dovie M. Davis, Eugene McMullen, Levesta Starks, Debra Ladd, Connie Y. Hartfield, Willi D. Smith; 12 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Deloris Jessica Barajas, 27, of Corsicana, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Bailey officiating.
She was born July 29, 1974 in Dallas.
She is survived by sons, Cameron Lee Wiggins and Nicholas Marquis Wiggins and a daughter, Desiree Danielle Wiggins, all of Corsicana.

Tossie Whitehead
Tossie Whitehead, 101, of Corsicana, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John C. Bates officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
Mrs. Whitehead was born Oct. 8, 1900 in Navarro County. She was a private sitter and a member of That Church.
She was preceded in death by husbands, E.G. Grimmett, Wallace McGuyer and Robert L. Whitehead; sons, Thomas M. "Buddie" Grimmett and W.C. Grimmett and great grandson, Jimmy Plummer.
She is survived by daughter and husband, Allie and S.C. Dodson; daughter, Bernice Ivie and niece Irena Orler, all of Corsicana.

Thomas Fletcher Stevenson
Thomas Fletcher Stevenson, 91, who resided at the Royal Plaza Retirement Center in Lewiston, Idaho and formerly of Hays, Kan., went to be with the Lord Nov. 28, 2001.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at Frost United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Schusler officiating.
Mr. Stevenson was born Jan. 24, 1910 in Itasca to Thomas W. Stevenson and Lessie Caldwell Stevenson. He graduated from Frost High School, and was a veteran of World War II serving in the 411th U.S. Army Medical Corps in the South Pacific. He was employed by F.W. Woolworth Co. for 47 years as a retail store manager in New Mexico, Texas, Nebraska and Kansas with his longest tenure of 17 years in Great Bend, Kan. Mr. Stevenson married Mildred Elizabeth Goodman Dec. 25, 1942. He was 50-year member of the American Legion and a 65-year member of Kiwanis International. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and thoroughly enjoyed a life of service to others through SCORF, Masons, Sunday school, Methodist Men and various services for the elderly. He will forever be remembered as a loving Christian husband, father, brother and uncle.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mildred Elizabeth Goodman Stevenson; daughter, Susan Mann of Lewiston, Idaho; son, John Stevenson and wife Colleen of Rockledge, Fla.; loving grandchildren, Shelleigh Mann Beeson and husband Kevin of Lewiston, Idaho, Shawn Mann and wife Jill of Portland, Ore., Mark Stevenson of Gainesville, Fla. and Michelle Stevenson of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandson who was his pride and joy, Aidan Beeson of Lewiston, Idaho; and sisters, Mary Hill Stevenson Warren of Frost and Louise Stevenson Bain of Mexia.

Jonnie Neal, 87, of Corsicana passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2001 at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home West.

Mrs. Neal was born Jan. 17, 1914 in Kerens.
Survivors include her son, Richard J. Tidwell of Dallas; stepsons, Gerry Neal of Frisco and Thomas Neal of Houston; brother, Wayne Arnett of Houston; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Nannie Bone, 98, of Corsicana passed away Friday, March 22, 2002 at Navarro Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Bone was born May 17, 1903 in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Frances Bone and two sons, James Loyd and William Bone.
Mrs. Bone is survived by daughter, Louise Farmer of Aiea, Hawaii; daughter-in-law Jaunita Bone of Hurst; sister Betty Viola Allen of Sparki, Nev.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Allen was born March 21, 1914 in Kerens.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Kilcrease of Kerens; son, Dick R. Allen of Longview; six grandchildren; six great granchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mattie Taylor Godley
Mattie Taylor Godley, 86, of Anson, passed away Sunday, March 24, in Anson.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Corley Funeral Home with Dr. David Hale officiating. Interment will be at Campbell-Elrod Cemetery.
Mrs. Godley was born Sept. 28, 1915 in Drane. She was employed as an inspector and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church. She lived in Dallas for 48 years and returned to Corsicana in 1984.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Columbus Godley.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Jane Emerson of Anson; brothers, Bill Taylor of Corsicana and Bob Taylor of Corsicana; granddaughtersl, Toni Emerson of Temple, Tammy Green of Anson and Tori Norman of Anson; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

John Leslie Read
John Leslie Read, 69, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 26, 2002.
Services were scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton with interment to follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery in Corsicana.
Mr. Read was born Aug. 25, 1932 in Corsicana to Louis E. Read and Lillie Hickey Read. He retired from Haliburton in 1991 after 34 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis E. Read.
Survivors include his mother, Lillie of Groesbeck; daughter, Sharon Wall of Plano; son, Terry Louis Read and wife Teri Lynn Read; grandchildren, Alyson Renfrow, Dustin Wall, Steven Read and Mallory Read; great-grandchild, Joshua Tyler Renfrow; sisters, Barbara Read of Oletha and Betty Read Herndon and husband Hugh Herndon of Richardson; and several nieces.
