Claude Bruce 'C.B.' Wright
Claude Bruce 'C.B.' Wright, 63, of Corsicana passed away Friday, July 26 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Corley Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Scurry.
Mr. Wright was born Dec. 20, 1938 in Gray's Prairie. He was a member of the National Cutting Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. The youngest of eight children, he was a loving father and avid horseman. He was a retired truck driver for TXI. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Shehee and Patsy Brennan, brother James 'Bud' Wright and parents John James and Bertie Wright.
Mr. Wright is survived by daughters Wendy Fulkerson and husband Mark of Benbrook and Robin Wright of Dallas; brothers Forrest Wright and John Wright, both of Euless; and sister Mildred Riggs of Corsicana.

Mike Danford
Mike Danford, 58, of Blooming Grove and formerly of Dawson, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2002 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
A special family gathering and viewing will be at 1 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. today at Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove with the Rev. Charles Wallace officiating.
Mr. Danford was born Oct. 19, 1943 in Dallas. He had lived in Blooming Grove for the past three years after living in Dawson for the previous 15 years. He was an avid horseshoe player and helped establish the Horseshoe Association and the horseshoe pits, both in Waco. He was an Army veteran having served as a sergeant. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Danford of Blooming Grove; daughters, Kathleen McMahon of Galway, Ireland, Christine Chism of Johnson City, Jessica Danford of Colorado and Stephanie Danford of California; brother, Johnny Danford of Dawson; stepchildren, Lisa McLain, Crystal Spivey and Christopher Mayfield, all of Boonesville, Miss., Katina Kight and Tamara Mayfield, both of Corsicana, Heather Hayes of Navarro Mills and Larry Mayfield of Robinson; seven grandchildren and five step grandchildren.

A.B. "Bodie" Thornton Jr., 68, of Gun Barrel City and formerly of the Blackfoot community in Anderson County, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2002 in Canton.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home, 207 S. Magnolia, Palestine.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City with the Revs. Byron Jones, B.F. Risinger Jr. and Lynn Stroud officiating. Masonic graveside services, led by the Tyre Lodge No. 198, will follow at 2 p.m. at Rock Church Cemetery in Anderson County.
Pallbearers will be Buck Otis, Roger Otis, Chuck Thornton, James Magee, A.Z. Thornton and Toby Thornton.
Mr. Thornton was born Aug. 13, 1933 in Groesbeck to Avery Bolton Thornton Sr. and Lydia Ann Dugan Thornton. He was employed at Navarro Junior College in the bookstore. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City and the Masonic Tyre Lodge No. 198 AF&AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, A.Z. "Red" Thornton; and sisters, Erma Lee Magee and Leta Otis.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Thornton of Gun Barrel City; son, Lynn Thornton of Grapeland; grandsons, Brian Thornton and Brandon Thornton; great-grandchild, Colby Thornton; and brother, Jack Thornton of Tennessee Colony.

Pearlie E. Hall, 80, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, July 25, 2002 in Corsicana.
Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. L.L. Polk officiating. Interment will follow.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Aug. 4, 2002 at Second Mission Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hall was born July 24, 1922 in Corsicana. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was founding member of the Abyssinian Auxiliary, a church clerk, deaconess and of the Jackson Ex-Students Association. Her service to the community included the United Way, the Navarro County Action Committee and the Navarro County Committee on Aging.
She is survived by son Kenneth W. Hall of Corsicana; devoted friend Tennie C. Chimney of Corsicana; goddaughter Bedissa Lovell of Corsicana; and others.

Kenneth Wilson Roberts, 68, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, July 20, 2002 in Corsicana.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Honea officiating.
Mr. Roberts was born May 31, 1934 in Amarillo. He was a welder.
He is survived by son Kenneth Roberts and wife Sharon of New Caney; daughters Debrina Hogue Mooney of Willis, Denada St. Clair and Janice Kay Cross, both of Amarillo; cousin Don Wilson of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

George Lonon
George Lonon, 63, of Forreston passed away Friday, July 26, 2002 in North Richland Hills.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. today at Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie with Ben Gerald officiating.
Mr. Lonon was born in Powell to Valon and Nora (Ware) Lonon. He graduated from Kerens High School and married Delia McCord April 20, 1957. He was employed for 28 years by Lockheed Aircraft and worked the past seven years for the H.M. Dunn Company in Euless. He was a Baptist and a dedicated marathon runner.
He was preceded in death by brother Terry Lonon.
Mr. Lonon is survived by wife Delia of Forreston and son George Neil Lonon and wife Judy, all of Forreston; daughter Lezlie Lonon Weil and husband Charlie of Los Angeles; sister Valda Bonner of Corsicana; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Tom Brooks Wheeler, 85, of Corsicana passed away Friday, July 26, 2002 in Corsicana.

Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Corley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Cravens officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mr. Wheeler was born Sept. 19, 1916 in Tupelo. He was a letter carrier and member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, IOOF, VFW, DAV, NARFE and NRLCA. He was an former prisoner of war and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by wife Ethel Wheeler and daughter Elaine Weyrick.
Mr. Wheeler is survived by daughter Jan Fedrico and husband Jerry of Waco; granddaughters Megan Michael of Salem, Mass. and Melissa Michael of Waco; grandson Lee Weyrick of Austin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lillian Lorene French, 85, of Mesquite passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, in Mesquite.

Mrs. French was born April 8, 1917 in Purdon. She was a member of Creek Crossing Assembly of God in Mesquite.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.F. French; and son, Clarence French.
Survivors include her daughters, Janette Wendland and husband Albert of Manor, Linda Sue French and Betty Mae Wiggins and husband Donnie, all of Mesquite; brother, Andy Kennemore of Dallas; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Cynthia Yvett Collins, 33, of Dallas passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at New Covenant Church, 1420 W. Ross, Waxahachie, with the Rev. Lonnie C. Collins Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Corsicana.
Pallbearers will be Virgil Majors, Lonnie Collins Jr., Thomas Scott, Myron Collins and Sidney Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Bishop, Luke Turner, Charles Mathis, James Mayes, Walter Harper and O'Neal McCowan.
She was born Nov. 1, 1969 in Ennis.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arthur and Juanita Collins; and paternal grandparents, Johnny B. and Olivia Morgan.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Collins and Temisha Collins; mother, Texanna Moffett and husband Willie; father, Darnell Morgan; sister, Barbara Collins; brother, Willie Wilson; fiance, Wrodney Jeffery; nephews, Willie Wilson Jr., Parkar Wilson and Brian O'Neal; and niece, Arkella Wilson.
