Arlee G. Lockhart
Arlee G. Lockhart, 88, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Jake Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Black Hills Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Penney, J.D. Wright, Charles Kent, Robert Robinson, Ted Taylor and Frank Hignett.
Mr. Lockhart was born May 19, 1914 in Emhouse to Garrett Alexander Lockhart and Birdie Rich Lockhart. During World War II, Mr. Lockhart was a crew chief at the Corsicana Air Field. He maintained PT-19s at the Corsicana Air Field and at the Galveston Air Field. After the war, he became manager of the Chapman Ranch, which later became the Taylor Ranch, from July 1947 until his death. He was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church of Corsicana and was a great student of Revelation. He taught Sunday school for 35 years and the last lesson he taught was Sunday, Jan. 19. He was a great story teller with a wonderful memory and a gift for presentation. He remembered the people he met and the places he visited and could present them with humor. He was a great and gentle man who was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed very much.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Sarah Lockhart of Corsicana; sons and daughters-in-law, Obie Lee and Joyce Lockhart of Kerens and Joe David and Susan Lockhart of Burleson; daughter, Gena Ruth Chandler of Corsicana; grandchildren, Mike Lockhart, Lynn Merrell, Janet Lockhart, Cole Taylor and Kirk Lockhart; great-grandchildren, Rachel Merrell, Kaitlyn Merrell, Garrett Lockhart and Lauren Lockhart; brother and sister-in-law, Wendell and Marie Lockhart of Corsicana; and sister, Jewel Porch of Corsicana.

Raymond Arvine Davis
Raymond Arvine Davis, 83, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services will be 4 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Dr. Mark Chadwick and the Rev. Wayne Mahoney officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Troy Cox, Jerry Cox, Eddie Gregory, Ronald Sikes, Ray Whitfield and Floyd Messinger.
Mr. Davis was born Sept. 9, 1919 in Pursley to Willie Edward Davis and Belva King Davis. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Orie Davis of Corsicana; son, Ray Davis and wife Lannette of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Katelyn and Jerard Davis of Fort Worth; brother, Maurice Davis of Houston; sisters, Dorothy King and Bonnie Gregory, both of Corsicana; and several nieces and nephews.

Deborah Kay Brandon
Deborah Kay Brandon, 41, of Kerens, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, in her residence.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Ross and Johnson Chapel. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Mt. B. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Samaria Cemetery in Samaria.
Pallbearers will be Ray Lindsey, Roger Cloud, Otis Tolliver, Dwight Bryant, Darryl Brandon, Preston Sayles and Don Johnson.
Mrs. Brandon was born on Sept. 17, 1961, in Corsicana. She was a 1980 graduate of Kerens High School and attended Kilgore Junior College. Mrs. Brandon was employed with Kmart Distribution Center for 10 years and was a faithful member of Samaria Baptist Church until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by son Craig Dontae Brandon.
Survivors include husband Samuel Brandon, daughter Tyresha LaKay Brandon, parents Andrew and Ernestine Bradford, sister Marilyn Robinson, all of Kerens; brothers Roy L. Bradford (Joyce) of Corsicana, James Bradford (Debra) of Dallas, and Earl Bradford of Kerens; nephew Jamal L. Ross, father- and mother-in-law Louis and Cora Brandon of Corsicana; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.

James I. Dozah
James I. Dozah, 62, of Corsicana passed away July 29, 2003 at his residence.
No services will be held. Mr. Dozah will be cremated.
He was born July 25, 1941, in Sheridan, Wyo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max Dozah; mother, Bealah Scoval Dozah; and brother.
Survivors include his partner, Billy "Willie" Stunkard of Corsicana; sister, Katy Carter of Beaumont, Calif.; and nephews, Chris and Mikel Hollinger and their spouses and children of California.

Thomas Lee Horn
Thomas Lee Horn, 61, of Corsicana passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Dallas.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Dr. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Glen Northcutt, James Selman, Joe Kittrell, Kit Kittrell, Fred Aguado and Tommy Aguado. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Dixon, Jeff Dixon, Leslie Tackitt, Don Williams, Jeremy Williams and Ryan Dixon.
Mr. Horn was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Abilene. He was a a master plumber for more than 35 years and most recently was the plumbing inspector for the City of Corsicana. He was a kind and loving man who enjoyed his family, work and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Chris and Eric Horn.
Survivors include his wife, Renee Horn of Corsicana; sons, Larry and Shirla Horn of Livingston, Jeffrey Horn of Corsicana and Christopher Horn of Corsicana; daughter, Debbie and Jeff Taylor of Greenville; sister, Fannie and Jerry Massey of Longview; grandchildren, Jason Horn, Amber Horn, Katie Horn, Amanda Wilcox, and Rachel Wilcox; one great-grandchild; father and mother-in-law, Freddie and Geraldean Dixon of Corsicana; brothers-in-law, Robert and Jeffrey Dixon of Corsicana; sisters-in-law, Susan and Don Williams and Karen and Leslie Tackitt of Midlothian; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special family, Bill, Janet and Will Gunnell of Summit, Miss.

John McCarter
John McCarter, 52, of Corsicana passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Corsicana.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Corley Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Honea officiating.
He was born April 8, 1951, in Mount Vernon, Ill. John was an extremely talented carpenter and painter and a true friend to his brother and family. He will be remembered for his kind heart and compassion. He will be greatly missed by his family and very special friends, Barbara and Dale Moe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Martha McCarter.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Kim McCarter of Schereville, Ind.; nieces, Kim Stengel and husband David of Lowell, Ind., and Barbie Posteluk and husband Eric of Streamwood, Ill.; nephew, Robert McCarter and wife Paula of South Chicago Heights, Ill.; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Justin, Bevie, Alyssa, Corrin, Bailey, Kiera and Marisa.

Ida Ray Stevens
Ida Ray Stevens, 68, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2003.
Wake services will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Golden Gate/St. Mary Chapel.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Academy, 625 Elkhart, Dallas. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial in Dallas.
Mrs. Stevens was born May 11, 1934, in Vernon. She received her formal education in Corsicana. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Academy Church of God in Christ serving as president of ushers, church mother and prayer band president.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel C. Stevens Sr. of Texarkana; sons, Edsel R. Bryant (Mary) of Arlington, Donnie Bloomer (Kim) of El Paso, Samuel C. Stevens Jr. and William E. Stevens, both of Dallas; daughter, Gwendolyn B. Stevens of Dallas; sisters, Katie Simmons of Temple, Okla., Ruby Dixon (Leodis) of Albuquerque, N.M., Maggie Hunter and Ethel Baptist (Elijah), all of Corsicana, and Inna McGilvery of Dallas; 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Martha Johnson Kline
Martha Johnson Kline passed away June 7, 2003, at her home in Jacksonville after a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was born July 10, 1941, in Navarro County to G.W. and Addie Pearl Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jackie Butler; and a brother, James Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, James Robert Kline; three sons, Harlan Eugene Batson and Jennifer, Michael Dean Batson and Russell Scott Batson and Kari; six grandchildren, Brittany, Austin, Amanda, Candice and Justin Batson and Jason Harbor. She is survived also by two sisters, Pat Coker and James Earl of Corsicana and Pam McCulloch and Jerry of Robstown; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Johnson of Corsicana. Also a very special niece, Lori Coker Engel, who lovingly cared for her during the last months of her illness and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Dresden Cemetery with Steve Orbison, minister at North Beaton Church of Christ, officiating.

Clyde Walker
Clyde Walker, 90, of Streetman passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003, in Fairfield.
Services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Honea officiating. Interment followed at St. Elmo Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Colton Knight, Douglas Grant, Kevin Lee, Bennie Pillans and Jim Howard.
Mr. Walker was born Nov. 2, 1912, in Freestone County. He was a member of the Winkler Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Walker of Streetman; sister, Louise Blair of Lubbock; nephews, Clyde Blair of Henderson, Nev., and Curtis Blair of Brea, Calif.; and nieces, Carole Long of Levelland, Helen Douglas of Longmont, Colo., and Alice Lee of Wortham.
