Mary Oneta Dennis
Mary Oneta Dennis, 81, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, March 29, 2003 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village.
Services were 10 a.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Honea officiating. Interment followed at Kerens Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy Lewis, Dale Holder, Justin Woodall, Ronnie Woodall, Chuck Burns and Danny Dennis.
Mrs. Dennis was born Aug. 27, 1921, to William P. Absher and Edna Lora Gowen. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dennis; and sons, James Dennis Jr. and Jerry Wayne Dennis.
Mrs. Dennis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Charlene Dennis of Corsicana; grandchildren, Tracy and Justin Woodall and Ronald Dabney; great-grandchildren, Payton and Reagan Woodall; and sisters, Era Bailey of Mabank and Bessie McCormick of Fort Worth.

Allen George
Allen George, 93, of Corsicana passed away Friday, March 28, 2003 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor K.D. Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Corsicana.
Pallbearers will be Lyle George, Luther Jackson, Stacy Young and Marvin Charles.
Mr. George was born Aug. 25, 1909 in Navarro County. He was retired from Henry Slate Grocery and Feed Store. He served faithfully on the Usher Board of Sixth Avenue Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie George and parents, Allen and Louise George.
Mr. George is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Lilian George of Dallas; two grandchildren, Lyle George of Cedar Hill and Tamara Martin of Dallas; two great-grandchildren, Tayler Martin and Tamara Martin, both of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Robert Earl Milsaps
Robert Earl Milsaps, 71, of Fairfield passed away Sunday, March 30, 2003, at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Fairfield with Buddy Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Milsaps was born March 22, 1932, in Houston to Leroy A. Milsaps and Maude Wagner. He was a painter.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Milsaps of Fairfield; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Teresa Milsaps; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie Gail Milsaps Kile and Johnny of Berryville, Ark.; grandchildren, Gary Don Friudenberg and Patrick Lee Friudenberg; great-grandchild, Alyssa; brother, Larue Milsaps of Crockett; sisters, Sissy Sliger of Crockett, Nettie Bauerkemper and Carol Fallum, both of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ventress Haney
Ventress Haney, 55, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Corsicana.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Second Mission Baptist Church in Corsicana with the Rev. H.D. Haney officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Corsicana.
Pallbearers will be Eric Middleton, Spencer Bynes, Ben Jessie and Lawrence Greggs Jr.
Mrs. Haney was born Jan. 10, 1948, in Amarillo. She was a member and first lady of Soul Savers Church, where she served as secretary. She received her degree from Navarro College as a registered nurse in 1987 and worked at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita Mary Brown.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. H.D. Haney of Corsicana; sons, Eric Middleton and wife Kimberly and Spencer Bynes and wife Stacy, all of Houston; daughters, Aretha Hymon and Evelyn Hymon, both of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, George Hymon of Amarillo; aunt, Ruby Cooksey of Corsicana; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Cole Hollingsworth
Cole Hollingsworth, 32, of Oakwood passed away Friday, March 28, 2003 in Oakwood.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Fairfield Christian Center with Brother Buddy Turner, Brother Bubba Rutherford and Brother Terry Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana.
Pallbearers will be Loren Miller, Bill Thompson, Matt Hollingsworth, Mark Cammack, Jonathan Cammack and Jim Martin.
Mr. Hollingsworth was born Oct. 24, 1970 in Corsicana. He was a member of Fairfield Christian Center.
Survivors include parents Dolores Hall of Butler and Ron Hollingsworth of Elkhart and grandparents Maurice and Helen Hall of Butler.

Janie Fay Winkle, 50, of Wortham passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003 in Wortham.
Services will be 4 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Ferman Carpenter officiating. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M.
Mrs. Winkle was born Dec. 23, 1952 in Grandview to Johnny and Janie Vivian Aken Miles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Winkle.

Beulah Mae Mahaley
Beulah Mae Mahaley, 83, of Rice passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003 in at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home in Corsicana.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with Dr. David Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Rice Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Mahaley, Rustin Page, Robert Mahaley, Tom Johnson, Mike Pitz and Joe Atkeisson.
Mrs. Mahaley was born Oct. 23, 1919 in Grapeland to Robert and Alma Bobbitt. She was raised in Grapeland where she attended school. On Aug. 11, 1939 she married Dow Mahaley. After their marriage, they lived in Rice. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dow Mahaley on Nov. 30, 1977.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Mahaley and wife Pat of Hereford and Dan Mahaley of Ennis; daughters, Linda Warren and husband Charles, Janice Page and husband Bill and Joyce Bigger and husband Walter, all of Blooming Grove; brother, Merle Bobbitt and wife Hesta of Crockett; sister, Teresa Steed and husband Lacy of Montgomery; grandsons, Chad Mahaley of Hereford, Jeffery Kent of Amarillo, Robert Mahaley of Ennis and Rustin Page of Blooming Grove; granddaughters, Michelle Johnson and husband Tom of Corsicana, Jessica Bennett and Danita Mahaley, both of Ennis, Wendy Page, Stephanie Pitz and husband Mike and Amanda Atkeisson and husband Joe, all of Blooming Grove; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Charles Johnston, 42, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Harmony Baptist Church, 411 E. 12th Ave., with Bishop John Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park.
Mr. Johnston was born June 2, 1960 in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his mother, Jessie Hill of Corsicana; sisters, Valeria Clay of Corsicana and Sandra Means of Huntsville; brothers, Kevin Johnston and wife Amy of Austin; Isaac Johnston and wife Vanessa of Kansas and Kenneth Johnston of Corsicana; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Betty Ann Speed
Betty Ann Speed, 45, of Abilene passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Fairfield with the pastor, Brother Mack Roller, officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery near Fairfield.
Pallbearers will be nephews Randy Stark, Robert Glen Speed II, Michael Speed, Matthew Stark, William Stark and Anthony Stark.
She was born Aug. 18, 1957 in Fairfield to William Robert and Bessie Speed. While in Abilene, she lived with and grew to love her foster mom, Beverly Westbrook, and foster sisters, Linda Johnson and Tina Benefield. All who knew and loved her will greatly miss her sweet spirit.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Robert Speed; and brother, Bobby Speed.
Survivors include her mother, Bessie Speed; sisters, Jeanette Stark and husband Wayne, Patsy Stark, Dixie Watson and husband Bill, Donna Kay Bishop and husband J.B., Carolyn Stark and husband Glenn, and Mary Stark and husband Kenneth; brothers, Robert Glen Speed and wife Cynthia, Jerry Speed and Johnny Speed; sister-in-law, Marsha Speed, all of Fairfield; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
