Martha Fay McCary
Martha Fay McCary, 97, of Frost passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2001 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro.
Services were 10 a.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Blooming Grove with the Rev. Robert Moon officiating. Interment followed at Frost Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Logan, Lynn B. McCary, John Paul Ross, Buddy Ross, Bill Mimms and Clifford Williams.
She was born Nov. 9, 1904 in Frost to Dudley and Callie McCary. She graduated from Frost High School in 1924, attended North Texas State College in Denton and received her bachelor of science degree in 1939 and later received a master of education degree from University of Houston in 1949. she taught in Denison schools from 1939 to 1941, Groves schools from 1941 to 1946, and David Crockett Jr. High School in Beaumont from 1946 to 1970. She retired in 1970 and returned to Frost to live in the family home. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Beaumont since 1947. She was also a member of Brandon Presbyterian Church in Brandon. She belonged to Delta Kappa Gamma Organization for Key Women Teachers, Beaumont Retired Teachers, Texas Retired Teachers, and National Retired Teachers.
She was preceded in death by parents; brother, Dudley Cypert McCary; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch B. McCary and Dr. and Mrs. J.B. Cypert.
Survivors include several cousins.

Peter Michael Horvath Sr. of Cedar Creek Lake and formerly of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 at Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land.

Sarah Jane Youngblood, 69, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001 at her residence.

She was born June 22, 1932 in Kerens to John and Lilla Mae Seale. She was a homemaker.

Warren H. Miller
The Rev. Warren H. Miller, 82, of Fort Worth passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 in Corsicana.
Quiet hour will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Scott Funeral Chapel.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at First Pilgrim Valley Rest Baptist Church in Fort Worth with the Rev. O.H. Hill, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Moses Miller as eulogist. Interment will follow at Chatfield Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 14, 1912 in Chatfield. He attended public school at Timothy, and served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He began his ministry at Wilgo Baptist Church in Corsicana under the Rev. Lott, pastored Hopewell Baptist Church in Rice, Cedar Fork Baptist Church in Trinidad, Beulah Baptist Church in Wortham, and Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Fort Worth. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, held several offices in the Galilee Griggs District Association, and was active in his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Cephus Miller; and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Moses and Rose Miller of Corsicana; sister-in-law, Earlene Miller of Corsicana; brothers-in-law, Curtis Henderson of Dallas and William Cephus of Corsicana; Marie Alexander of Ennis; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Grace Calfee
Grace Calfee went to be with her Lord Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001.
Memorial services were 11:30 a.m. today at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel in Waco with the Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Interment was held at 10:30 a.m. today at Waco Memorial Park.
Mrs. Calfee was born Aug. 11, 1910 in Hillsboro to George S. and Lula Pulliam. She was a resident of Waco from 1941 until her death. She was an avid and devoted member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church for 50 years where she was honored as the church's Senior Adult of the Year in 1996. She retired from the billing section of the Waco Water Department in 1976.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her second husband, W.B. Calfee; and her first husband, Fred J. Langford.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert F. and Kathryn Langford of Dallas and Glenn J. and Carlene Langford of Houston; grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Cindy Langford, Britt and Beth Langford, Gregory and Amy Langford, Dr. Leslie and Richard Culp; great-grandchildren, Brooks, Brynn and Barrett Langford, and Caitlin, Noelle and Rachel Culp; sisters, Ethel England of Hillsboro, Frances Mourelatos and husband Tony of Tyler, and Gina Tinsley of Weatherford; brother, Davis Pulliam of Waco; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Beatrice Howell
Beatrice Howell, 93, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. B.F. Risinger officiating assisted by Mrs. Howell's grandsons the Rev. David Murphy and the Rev. Glen Murphy. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Howell was born Oct. 11, 1908 in Nevada, Texas to John W. and Martha Jane Ross. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Howell; and grandson, Michael Atkeisson; and parents.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Truman and Millie Howell and James B. and Exa Howell, all of Corsicana, and Raymond and Martha Howell of Waxahachie; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Murphy, and Betty and Bobby Hicks, all of College Station, Mary and Raymond Paul of Corsicana, and Linda and Kent Wear of Garland; brother and sister-in-law, John Henry and Elner Ross of Farmersville; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Jessie Keele
The Rev. Jessie Keele, 73, of Purdon passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Dr. Gary Johnson and the Rev. Lonnie Keele officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bo Ivie, John Ivie, Mike Ivie, David Ivie, Wayne Ivie, Robert "Red" Keele and Charles Keele. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Keele.
He was born Oct. 14, 1928. He was a minister from the age of 15. He pastored churches in Pasadena, Belton, Hubbard, and Corsicana with Evangel Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alma Keele of Purdon; sons, Ronnie Keele of Cunningham, Tenn. and Terry Keele of Corsicana; daughter, Jewel Rudnikoff of Chandler, Ariz.; sister, Lillie Terry of Lancaster; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Johnnie Lee Scott Brown
Johnnie Lee Scott Brown, 65, of Corsicana passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2001 at Medical Center of Arlington.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Apostle A.O. Chimney officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Williams, Michael Thomas, Lucion Jessie Jr., Freddie Watson, Charles Williams and Jimmie Ed Driver.
She was born Jan. 13, 1936 in Garrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Scott and Pearlie Holman; and sisters, Bobbie Wynn and Peggy Thomas.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Charles Wilson and Charles Kennard, both of Corsicana; brother, Nathaniel Woods of Corsicana; sister, Birdie Haggerty of Corsicana; granddaughters, Shirecca Wilson, Raveen Wilson and Destinee Wilson; grandson, Joshua Wilson, all of Ennis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Taylor C. Judson
Taylor C. Judson, 83, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2001.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens.
Pallbearers will be Roy French, Willie Winters, Ned Polk, Dr. Keith Hill, Monty Brazell, Caleb Jackson, Howard Jackson and Jim Fortson.
Mr. Judson was born in Akron, Ohio and grew up in Dallas. He was a graduate of Sunset High School and North Texas State University in Denton. He joined the Marine Corps during World War II and was honored to be selected as a member of the United States Marine Corps Band. He was in the insurance business in El Paso, Waco and Corsicana. He was a retired insurance businessman and part owner of Cooper, Eady, Judson and Polk. He served on the boards for First United Methodist Church, Corsicana Country Club, Family Service and various committees for the welfare of Corsicana. He was a wonderful husband, father and a dear friend to many. All who knew him will miss his kindness and upbeat personality.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance S. Judson and Kate Butcher Judson; and son, David A. Judson.
Mr. Judson is survived by his wife, Martha Nell "Nellie" Judson; son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Darlene Judson of Corsicana; grandsons, Matt Judson of Fort Worth and Jody Judson of Corsicana; and brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Jean Judson of Waco.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church or Dallas Scottish Rite Hospitals for Crippled Children, 2222 Welborn, Dallas, Texas 75219.
