Nathaniel 'Jihad' White Sr.
Nathaniel "Jihad" White Sr., 31, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at his residence.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Corsicana with Bro. Inman officiating.
Pallbearers will be Muslim brothers.
Mr. White was born Jan. 5, 1971 in Corsicana.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, TaiKashae Slay of Corsicana; sons, Nathaniel QuinShawn Crawford and Nathaniel White Jr., both of Dallas, and Nawonte kelton "Lil Self" White of Corsicna; mother, Geneva Gross Evants; father, Ralphy White Sr. and Doris White of Rice; sisters, Valorie W. Richardson of Corsicana and Sandra House of Fort Worth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Tracy White, Eugene and KaKeya White, Darrin and Sally White, all of Corsicana, and David Lee White of Waco; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

Stanley Eugene Farrar
Stanley Eugene Farrar, 63, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Corley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Merit Cemetery.
Mr. Farrar was born Dec. 31, 1938 in Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Farrar; mother, Clara Spillers; brother, George Roy Farrar; and sister, Janie Stevens.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Farrar of Corsicana; son, Michael Farrar and wife Diane of Corsicana; daughters, Lisa Crowder and husband Rusty of Hurst, Shermaine Bell and husband Phillip and Reachell Woodson, all of Corsicana; brother and sister-in-law, M.T. and Darlene Farrar of Corsicana; and 12 grandchildren.

Eula Bilbrow
Eula Bilbrow, 97, of Waco passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at a Corsicana nursing home.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. today at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Brother Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dennis, Ervin, James and Randy Richards.
Mrs. Bilbrow was born Nov. 22, 1904 in Barton, Ark. to John and Emmer Wheeler. She married John Bilbrow in 1934 in Hollis, Okla. They moved to Waco in 1940. Mrs. Bilbrow worked as a saleslady for Franklin Department Store. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and then attended Calvary Assembly of God Church for several years before moving to Corsicana eight years ago.
Mrs. Bilbrow was a very active volunteer in her community and was a member of American Legion Posts 121 and 440 and was past president of both, Rebecca Chapter 16, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, YWCA Senior Adult Independent Membership, Elks Club Lodge No. 166, Elks Lodge -- PBO No. 43, The Home League (retired volunteers) of The Salvation Army, and the Kate Ross Center for Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 19, 1963.
Survivors include her nieces, Lucille Bass of Chandler and Annie Mae Richards of Corsicana; nephew, Lessie Richards of Corsicana; great-nephew, Ervin Richards of Corsicana; and many other great-nieces and nephews.

Janie Mae Brown
Janie Mae Brown, 87, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002 in Corsicana.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Oakwood Cemetery with Brother Bill Honea officiating.
Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 7, 1914 in Corsicana. She was a very loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis J. Brown Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Travis J. Brown Jr. and wife Teresa of The Woodlands, and Joe Ketchum and wife Flo of Dallas; granddaughters, Kimberly Ann Brown of Atlanta, Ga., Stephanie Smith of Dallas and Stacy of Hawkins; grandson, Klark Allen Brown of The Woodlands; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Melvin Ray 'Pete' Kendall
Melvin Ray "Pete" Kendall, 74, of Navarro Mills passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002 in Purdon. He was a 20-year cancer survivor.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with Brother Bobby Reid and Brother Bobby Cave officiating. Interment will follow at Frost Cemetery.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be members of the Glorybound gospel group Ronnie Slater, Brandon Cave, Donnie Grounds, Bobby Benton, Bobby Matthews, Martin Jenkins, Paul Ferguson, Darwin Freeman, Bill Hill, Dustin Hill, Mary Slater and Dianne Summers.
Mr. Kendall was born Jan. 17, 1928 in Dawson. He was raised in the Brushie Prairie area, and married Frances Thomas Nov. 27, 1948.
He served in the U.S. Army from March 1946 to October 1947. He trained at Fort Chaffe, Ark., and served as a medical aidman in Yokohoma, Japan. He worked at Oil City Iron Works and American Rockwool in Corsicana as a welder and in the maintenance department.
He moved to Lake Jackson in 1966 and worked at the Dow Chemical Company in Freeport as an operator in the glycerin department. He retired in 1986, moving back home to Navarro Mills.
Mr. Kendall was an active member of Navarro Mills Baptist Church, serving as teacher in his Sunday school class and playing in his dobro in the choir. He was a member of the Glorybound southern gospel group for 13 years, playing his dobro and doing recitations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Farris and Corry Lois Kendall.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Kendall of Navarro Mills; son, Jackie Ray "Jack" Kendall; daughter-in-law, Becki Kendall; granddaughter, Sarah Kendall, all of Lewisville; brothers, Joe Kendall and wife Joyce of Dawson, and Bill Kendall of Eureka; brother-in-law, Roy Thomas and wife Pauline of Barry; sisters-in-law, Lorene Sykes and Betty Honea, both of Corsicana; 11 nieces and nephews, 21 great-nieces and nephews, five great-great-nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

Velna Vivian Streetman Dupree
Velna Vivian Streetman Dupree, 86, of Frost passed away Monday, March 18, 2002 at her residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Chapel Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mrs. Dupree was born Sept. 21, 1915 in Rockhill, one of 17 children, to Charlie Mac and Clara Streetman. After graduating from Luling High School, she moved to Houston, where she met and fell in love with her husband, James Allen Dupree. The couple became loving parents to four children. Velna was called by three other names; Honey by her husband, Mother by her children and Nanny by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These were the names she treasured because the people she loved most used them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Dupree and 14 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Dupree is survived by daughters Jeanine Fontenot and husband Jerry of San Leon and Deborah Green of Seabrook; sons Ray Dupree and wife Jana of Poulsbo, Wash. and Jim Dupree and wife Dorothy of Frost; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister Winona Fielder in Austin; and sister-in-law Sarah Streetman of Waco.

Alice Maude Loomis
Alice Maude Loomis, 64, of Sherman and formerly of Corsicana, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002 at Texoma Medical Center after an extended illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Younger Cemetery in Silver City.
She was born April 22, 1937 in Purdon to T.H. Morgan and Mary Ethel Butler Morgan. She was a retired computer supervisor for Kmart. She was currently working at Wal-Mart.
Pallbearers will be Jim Farmer, Ray Woodcock, Dickie Phillips, Mike McCrory, Oscar McCrory and Mark Boldin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Loomis.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Loomis of Sherman; daughters, Debbie Loomis of Cardale, Pa. and Rebecca Loomis of Corsicana; brother, Bob Morgan of Chapel Hill; sister, Mary Slaton of Homer, Ga.; and six grandchildren.

Barney Alvin Richards
Barney Alvin Richards, 86, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Dale Leggett officiating. Interment will follow at Pattison Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandnephew Tim Nicholson. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Greer, Ray Jacobs, Willie Wiese, Jody Rodgers, Jimmy Nicholson, Jelly Luther and Jessie Prater.
Mr. Richards was born Nov. 9, 1915 in Emhouse to Frank W. and Minnie Mary Richards. He was a lifetime resident of Corsicana. He married Essie Hunter June 7, 1943 in Corsicana. He worked for Stroud and Stell as a truck driver. He enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes and watching baseball at Beebe Field. He was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, W.J. "Skeeter" Richards and E.H. "Ruck" Richards; and sisters, Dora Luther and Marie Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Essie Hunter Richards of Corsicana; children, Buddy and Wanda Richards and Billy and Sharon Richards, all of Corsicana, and James and Beverly Richards of Maypearl; grandchildren, Joey Richards and wife Shelia, Chad Richards and wife Jerri, Shane Richards and Billy Jr. Richards, all of Corsicana, Scott Richards of Dallas and Kristy Richards of Maypearl; great-grandchildren, Brooke Richards, Hagen Richards and Chesney Richards; brothers, Clyde Richards and Dorsey Richards, both of Corsicana; sister, Dorothy Fuller of Cedar Creek; and many nieces and nephews.
