Thomas Lackey
Thomas Edward Lackey, 61, of Weatherford died on Friday, October 5, 2007 in Fort Worth.
He was born on June 30, 1946 to J.C. and Willie B. Lackey in Stephenville. Thomas was a resident of Parker County, a Sheriff Posse member, and the owner of Texas Auto Salvage.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include wife Judy Lackey of Weatherford; sons Thomas Dwayne Lackey of Weatherford, Dale Everrett Lackey of Weatherford; sisters Patricia Ann Bonham of Burleson, Brenda Pollard of Arlington; six grandchildren.
Paul Beasley
Paul Beasley, 80, died Tuesday, October 2 in Lake Worth. Born Paul Thomas Beasley on August 25, 1927 in Lazare to Thomas and Mae Beasley. He served his country in the United States Army.
Beasley was preceded in death by his wife, LeAnne Beasley and son, David. Survivors include son, Terry Beasley and wife, Sandra of River Oaks; daughter, Beverly Renois and husband, Paul of Boyd; granddaughters, Laurie Honeman of New Orleans, Erica Guilbea of Fort Worth, Hannah and Heather Halvey of River Oaks; grandsons, Brad Beasley of the U.S. Army serving in Washington, D.C., Coy Northington of Mount Gilead, Oh, Shannon Dowdle of Azle; 6 great-grandchldren; sister, Kay Yount and husband, Vernon of New Bethelhem, PA.; brother, Bill Beasley and wife, Jeane of Midland.
Otto Lothridge
Otto died on October 4, 2007.
Lothridge was born January 15, 1912 in Weatherford. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janelle Lothridge, daughter Betty Lothridge Michou and his wife Flora Ella Pritchard Lothridge.
Survivors include daughter LaJuana Riffe and husband Denver; sons Leslie Lothridge and wife, Mary, Edwin and wife, Audette, and Lloyd and wife Sande; son-in-law Louie Michou; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters Dona Skiles Thomas, and Pearl Green; special friend Drotha Campbell; other friends and relatives.
Todd Etter
Todd Alan Etter, 35, died Monday, October 1, 2007 in Azle.
Etter was born June 6, 1972 in Arlington to Donald and Patricia Etter. He loved his family, and enjoyed golf, fishing and the Longhorns. He married the love of his life on April 29, 2005 in Lake Worth. Etter was a member of The Church in Azle, and had lived in Azle for four years. He honorably served his country from 1998 to 2000 in the U.S. Army. Etter was an encourager and held on to his faith until the end; he was very grateful for his family and friends.
Earlene Robinson Grubis
Earlene Robinson Grubis, 87, a retired bookeeper, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in Azle.
Grubis was born March 3, 1919 in Parker County to Med and Lesca Robinson. She attended school at Highland Community and graduated from Azle High School in 1936. Grubis married Thurman Grubis August 6, 1949. She was a resident of Fort Worth until 1961 and worked as a bookeeper for City Packing and Estes Packing Companies. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. The family would like to give special thanks to her dedicated caregivers, Opal Baloga, Gail Moore and Linda Wortham.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Thurman Grubis; children, Diane Eskue and husband, John, Jerry Grubis and wife, Deana; grandchildren, Toby Grubis, Jay Grubis and Christopher Eskue; brothers, Owen Robinson of Mineral Wells, Guy Robinson and wife, Wyvonne of Fort Worth and Wayne Robinson and wife, Winnie of Azle; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, October 19 at Veal Station Cemetery.
Marion Joseph “Buddy” Robertson
Marion Joseph “Buddy” Robertson, 84, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at his home.
The son of the late Marion and Annie Robertson, he was born July 15, 1923 in Mineral Wells.
He was a life-long farmer and rancher who loved to improve and restore as much of God’s earth as he could. He was honored as the outstanding conservation farmer in zone 2, Hood-Parker Soil Conservation District in 1964. His greatest joy was driving his bulldozer and building large dams, catch basins, terraces and diversion ditches. He was one of the first farmers in the nation to raise hairy vetch seed used to restore soil. He also raised sheep, goats, Hereford and Simmental cattle.
