Rosalio Quiterio Lorenzo, Sr.
Rosalio Quiterio Lorenzo, Sr., 34, of Weatherford, died Friday, July 6, 2007 in a local nursing center.
Born January 25, 1973 in Mexico, he was a resident of Parker County for several years. Lorenzo was a Catholic, owner of Lorenzo Construction, played in a band and loved to play soccer.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Nellie Lorenzo of Weatherford; daughter, Chantal Lorenzo of Weatherford; sons, Rosalio Lorenzo, Jr. of Weatherford and Angel Lorenzo of Weatherford; parents, Alfonso and Julia Lorenzo of Mexico; sisters, Elena Sanchez of Waco, Aracelia Lorenzo of Arlington, Hilda Lorenzo of Waco; brothers, Alfonso Lorenzo of Waco, Rogelio Lorenzo of Waco, Pedro Lorenzo of Fort Worth and Fernando Lorenzo of Mexico.
Grace Rogoski
Grace Rogoski, 94, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 in Mineral Wells.
Rogoski was born in Osawatomie, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Maude Kelly Stanley. She was a long-time resident of Mineral Wells. Mrs. Rogoski enjoyed cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adam, Jr.; son, Bill; two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include sons, Adam Rogoski and wife, Christy of Strawn; Albert
Edith Jordan Borden
Edith Jordan BordenEdith Jordan Borden, a life long resident and historian of Parker County, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at her residence.
Borden was a legend for her research of Texas history and her church work at the First Baptist Church in Weatherford. She was known as its oldest continuous member and is recalled kindly by its many members.
Mary Boyd Hutcheson
Mary Boyd Hutcheson, 97, a retired teacher, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at her Weatherford home.
Mary Boyd Hutcheson was born in the Veal Station Community of Parker County, April 29, 1909 the daughter of pioneer settlers, Billy and Bessie (Jackson) Boyd. She was a long time resident of Weatherford. Her father sold his only horse so that Mary could complete her education, receiving a Master’s degree from North Texas State Teacher's College in Denton. She was a long time school teacher in the Weatherford and Springtown schools. She also was a member of the Eastern Star, First United Methodist Church of Weatherford where she taught Sunday school classes for children and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Harold L. Miller
Harold L. “Harp” Miller, 78, of Graford died October 17, 2006 at his residence. Born December 8, 1927 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin he was a resident of Palo Pinto County for several years. Miller was a US Air Force Veteran serving in World War II and an electronic technician in the Civil Service from 1951 to 1983. He was stationed at Fort Wolters from 1961 until it closed and then Sheppard Air Force Base until his retirement. Miller was an avid fisherman and a wonderful father and grandfather.
Dwayne Murphy
Dwayne Murphy, 24, died Monday, October 16, 2006 in San Angelo.
Murphy was born December 9, 1981 the son of Robert and Joy Murphy in Fort Worth. He graduated from Springtown High School in 2000 and worked for his father. Murphy enjoyed hunting and tournament fishing. With his outgoing personality, Murphy was well liked by everyone who met him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha "MeMom" and Jimmy "PaPa" Fleming, and grandmother, Jody "Nonnie" Potts.
Betty Jean Osborne
Betty Jean Osborne (Grandma Betty), 74, died Saturday, October 14, 2006.
Osborne was born February 7, 1932 in Kaufman County to King and Essie Heffington. She retired from the City of North Richland Hills where she worked for 21 years in the water department. She loved gardening and spending time with her family—especially her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Clinton Osborne, brother, Alfred Heffington and sister Doris “Dot” Walker.
Survivors include her son, Jack Osborne and wife, Amy; daughter, Barbara Plowman and husband, Max; daughter-in-law, Joya Osborne; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Turnage and husband, Calvin and Barbara Ann Spindle and husband, Robert; brothers, Kenneth Heffington and wife, Marilyn and Danny Heffington and wife, Jackie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at First Baptist Church of Castle Hills in Azle. Burial was at Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 at White’s Azle Funeral Home.
