Steven Moshe' "Mo" Hoskins
Steven Moshe' "Mo" Hoskins, 14, a student, died Thursday, October 12, 2006.
"Mo" Hoskins was born March 27, 1992, to Steve and Mary Hoskins in Springtown.
The family wished to include this verse, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" Philippians 1:21.
Mo was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Lindsey.
Survivors include parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Hoskins; sisters, Danielle, Heather and Rebekah Hoskins; grandparents, Thurman and Charlsey Price; grandmother, Betty Lindsey; aunts and uncles, Lyn Allison , Joel and Mona Williamson, Anthony and Judy Lindsey, Rick and Janna Mattocks, Henry and Kelly Lindsey, Joy Lindsey; and many, many cousins and friends.
The funeral was scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday October 17 at Hilltop Family Church. Burial is set to follow in Springtown Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16 at White's Funeral Home.
Lurra Lee Holcomb
Lurra Lee Holcomb, 85, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Saturday, October 14, 2006 in Weatherford.
Lurra Lee Holcomb was born Feb. 20, 1921, the daughter of Gee and Ethylene Moore in Fort Worth. She was a graduate of Northside High School, a past member of Free Will Baptist Church and Zoe Life Ministries in Weatherford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Wayne Moore.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Weldon; daughter, Lynnell Strauss of
Fort Worth; sons, Jerry Holcomb and wife, Terri of Mansfield, La., Jim Holcomb and wife, Linda of Weatherford; sister, Pauline Fowler of Plano; brothers, Bill Moore of Granbury and Dub Moore of Waco; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday October 17 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Monday at White's Funeral Home.
Jimmy Daves
Jimmy Daves, 52, an avid sportsman, died October 13, 2006 at his home. Jimmy Lynn Daves was born June 9, 1954 in Fort Worth. He was a retired salon owner of The Right Direction in Weatherford. A member of the Crystal Cathedral Ministries, he was a man of deep faith and strong convictions. Jimmy believed that there are no coincidences.
Survivors include wife, Tammy Daves; sons, Josh, Joel and wife Jessica, Michael Escobedo and wife Sonya; daughter, Jennifer Milner and husband Sam; grandchildren, Jacob, Dakota, Caitlyn and Chase; and siblings, Tommy Daves and family and Barbie Daves and family.
Funeral service was scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Catherine Ann James
Catherine Ann James, 67, of Weatherford died Thursday October 12, 2006 in a Fort Worth hospital. Born November 15, 1938 in Fort Worth, she was a resident of Parker County for many years. She was a homemaker, a member of Willow Park Baptist Church; Order of the Eastern Star, a former data processing clerk for Bell Helicopter, a police dispatcher in the H.E.B. area and was in advertising for the Weatherford Democrat. She loved NASCAR and knew every driver by name, her favorite being Jeff Burton; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her grandsons.
Survivors include her husband, Edward James of Weatherford; son, Martin James of Weatherford; and grandsons, Christopher, Bryce and Martin James II, all of Weatherford.
Funeral service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday October 17, 2006 in the Willow Park Baptist Church with Rev. Clark Bosher officiating. Interment will be in the Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., Monday, October 16 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Galbreaith Pickard is in charge of arrangements.
Jaton Neighbors
Jaton Neighbors, 47, died Sunday, October 8, 2006.
Neighbors was born November 25, 1958 in Grapevine, the daughter of Royce and Cleata Neighbors. She had been a resident of Springtown for 43 years. She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church. Neighbors graduated from Springtown High School in 1977 and was employed by Colonial Savings for 20 years. She was a very giving and caring friend who will be greatly missed.
Neighbors was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Pauline Hooper.
Survivors include her sister, Tami Reyna and husband, Paul; nephew, Vincent Flores; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The funeral was scheduled for 11 a.m., Oct. 11 at Cornerstone Community Church.
G. Don Riley
G. Don Riley, 50, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Riley was born Feb. 29, 1956, in Borger, to Donald Claud and Doris Omagene Lang Riley. He retired from the United States Army, after which he served as a compliance officer with the City of Fort Worth. Riley was a Mason.
Riley was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Riley of Weatherford; daughter, Beth Jackson of Fort Worth; son, Brian Riley and wife, Kendra of Celle, Germany; stepsons, Randy Kokko of Weatherford, Tommy Kokko and wife, Paige of Weatherford; sister, Regina Riley of San Antonio; five grandchildren and two nieces.
Family visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. on Friday, June 30, in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Guests must arrive at the cemetery by 1:30 p.m. in lane "B" for the funeral cortege.
Burma Mae Small
Burma Mae Small, 69, died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at her home.
Small was born July 9, 1936, in Gunter, the daughter of Carlos and Nettie Mae Watwood. She married F.M. Small on Aug. 14, 1954, in Denison.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Fay Myron Small of Weatherford; daughter, Sherri Bohannon and husband, Steve of Lubbock; son, Doug Small and wife, Denice of Amarillo; daughter, Cindy Casteel and husband, Tom of Arlington; daughter, Linette Armstrong and husband, James of Arlington; daughter, Lisa Gossett and husband, Dee of Amarillo; grandchildren, Brandon Bohannon, Chris Bohannon, Jessica Coffey, Jerrid Small, Joshua Small, Lauren Small, Christina Barowoski, Christopher Erdman, Paul Casteel, Jami Vonchang, Nicholas Casteel, Mitchell Armstrong, Alex Armstrong, Zachary Gossett, Jeremy Gossett; sisters, Syble McCrary of Fresno, Ca., Ellen Copley of Denison, Thelma Gruner of Dallas.
The family will receive guests 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.

Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery, Weatherford.
